E: This is not bad advice. And it shows that we can trust them, so it is a big step towards integrating them.

Plus we are at 3 Cent. This means we can Main New Trails - Stonepen and Main Improve Festivals next turn. Hopefully, If she lets us.

In other news. GO MAGWYNA! Our women are awesome. *Hugz the virtual people* Your so great!

We have chariot couriers! Yay! It's also taking less than a season for Attrikwyn to travel to the south, so there has been definitive improvement.

We'll want to keep an eye on Magwyna's family in the future, but after this a Stallion Tribe king might actually be reasonable. I'd still like that aqueduct done, but it's not urgent, and we kinda have a mysticism overflow and a superstition to deal with.

Save stability for dealing with that metal superstition.
what happens if we keep getting mysticism and Art overflows?
It's red, not green. I wouldn't bet on it being good.

Just wanna add in a note right here, look at how snide this shit is: "Remind people along trade routes that the People don't suffer the blue plague". It's like "wow... you're so... rural. Just fyi, we're immune to the disease that's killing your neighbors ;)."

I don't like this. I don't like this one itty bit. We've all but been told that picking this option will greatly cement Mag's family line as having incredible pull and push, to the point that almost definitely they will be the kings until the foreseeable future.

I can only hope that one of the elected family is so incredibly moronic as to ensure this becomes a negative lesson ASAP.

I would really like to see our hero can get us any special benefits for building aqueducts and the dam especially since she has experience dealing with water management.

You and I both know that hereditary was an inevitability in this era. Cementing it around a heroic line(and a WOMAN at that) is better than most.

So, was the admin upgrade chariot couriers?

Also, what are the long term side effects of Atkin's proposal? It sounds like we'll go off of the elective system which... well, honestly was inevitable until we get decent public education (which won't happen in the near future).

4, you forget Place to the Stars
Y'know, I think Place to the Stars might actually be a good pick for what to do next. It not only burns mysticism and establishes something of a center for our religion, it also develops new ways of investigating the world, which might get us better study actions in the future.

We've also had wonders evolve our civilization traits before, and Observance needs attention quick.

Guess I can only hope Magwena agrees with me, though.

After a long moment of deliberation, he said, "For the good of the People I would recommend cementing such alliances with our neighbours, although perhaps the women from nomadic tribes should be married to chiefs in the northern provinces a bit closer to where their tribes are to better secure those places. I would also suggest that the families of the chiefs more strongly intermarry so as to reduce the possibility of descendants later being able to use family connections with foreigners against the People, for it would not be many families against each other, but one family."

As he settled back down, Attrikwyn grit his teeth slightly as he all but said outright that it should be Magwyna's family that should be kings going forward. It galled him... but it was the right thing to do. To let petty personal issues get in the way of proper governance and what was best for the People was what his family had fought against for generations, and to let a personal grudge get in the way of what was best for the People would dishonour his ancestors immensely. Especially if snubbing the foreign chiefs brought a cessation to the peace his family had fought for. Nomads would always raid, but Magwyna had helped him keep the worst of it down for at least another generation, and if he had let his pride have him give advice that might cause a flare up of fighting that would fall upon the Stallion Tribes first...
My only problem with following Attrikwyn's advice is that he seems to think that it will lead to Magwyna's family being kings going forward. While I very much doubt it will lead to hereditary kings or something like that, it COULD lead to our leaders being chosen in a more hereditary rather than a more meritocratic way. I need to think about this more, because otherwise it would seem that taking this will pretty much end potential conflicts we might have with the Stallion Tribes and the north.
