Whoops, I think I cut that out earlier when we found out the Pangolins would be useless, and didn't add it back in. My mistake.

I still have words left so let me know if there's anything else I should unfuck in my plan.

I don't think we did find out that the pangolins would be useless? We were told we can't use them in the tunnels. But the open areas we've been fighting in are like 80 feet tall.

Can we cut this? It was tried in the rolls for the recent update, it rolls PR vs Alt. That's 1 vs a core combat stat. It's useless. The fluff in the update made it sound like it did something, it did not.

I maintain that we should at least ask the party about using low-power explosives. We used high power ones higher up and didn't cause a cave-in. Kei currently has no way to hurt the shades. This would be game changing for her in any future combats.

Laughs in Wakahisa Koi deal

items cheated: Senior Picinist, ongoing presence of 2-3 experts, utility jutsus
Helping Ami when she was killboxed, too.
Oh right, we were cheated on that too.
"However, secrecy implies that Noburi would not be purchasing chakra from out-of-clan ninja as he typically does. Assuming your plan is not mere redistribution of chakra within the clan, which would hardly have impact worthy of a Super Ultra Gōketsu Clan Secret, you would need a non-shinobi source. The Wakahisa chakra koi we negotiated for alongside the clan's influence on Ami's fate—of which, incidentally, Ami detected none—would fulfil that role nicely."

Yes, but my impression from eaglejarl's response was that they wouldn't be useful unless we are going to be fighting in the cavern we're in right now (and he also said it was unlikely Yuma was there).

I'll cut PR.

[X] Action Plan: Ghosts of Hazōmas Past
Word Count: 278

We discuss the below with the team.
  • Hazou's immediate thoughts:
    • We're not splitting the party. There's too much of a chance something will attack either weakened group.
    • We're not abandoning Yuma. That's not what we do.
  • Kei: Suggest using ranged Earth Domes/Electrocution Seals, or any other offensive ninjutsu that could be effective.
    • Don't pry about the Nara clan jutsu. If she thinks they'll be useful, she'll use them.
  • Point out the common link here: Our enemies were humans Hazou's seen die.
    • We're all seeing the same thing, right?
    • We haven't seen: Joutarou, Yami, Arikada's bodyguards, Minami Nikko, Squirrel-nin. Get everyone filled in on them: Skills, appearances, etc..
    • Hazou is uncertain if he should leave/reverse summon:
      • If Hazou continues, would the shades take on the Hyenas he's seen die? The Dragon?
      • Would him leaving make the shades stop coming, xor would they pick someone else to fixate on?
    • Get everyone's thoughts, then proceed.
  • The team keeps going.
    • Hazou considers enlisting Cantelope, Canun, or other ninjutsu-using Summons' aid. We group around and protect them.
    • Approach Yūma carefully, he might be confused or an enemy in disguise.
    • After we get him, Skywalk and Tunneling Excavation out.
      • When we get to the surface, call off the rescue mission. Use Earbusters if necessary to get the attention of reinforcements.
    • If more shades appear, and IFF it doesn't reduce our combat ability, try communicating with them - we just want to get our buddy and leave.
      • If it's a Seventh Path shade - Hyena, Cat, ... - Hazou reverse summons immediately. No way we're risking a Dragonshade.
    • If anyone thinks they can't kill shades, even with GS or PEA, they'll apply Maneuvers to support the others.

We should get Yuno a small chakra blade. Perhaps a dagger or something similar. This dungeon shows that she needs a way of dealing energy damage against physically resistant enemies if her axe doesn't work, and a chakra blade that she can channel lightning jutsu through while rolling with MW would be the ideal choice.

It's not something we can do now, but there's a very good chance we can make small amounts of chakra metal with ES good enough to make chakra channels. We can already work metal, albeit tediously.

Would a Force Wall weapon work? Force Wall is a chakra construct, iirc?
- Force Wall Seal

Put two seals on flat, parallel surfaces. They generate a 4 m x 4 m invisible wall of invulnerable force between them. The wall can easily be jumped over or gone around if you know it's there, but it's ridiculously thin; running into it tends to cut you in half. It lasts for 12 hours or until the seals are damaged or moved. If you have the tags prepared it takes about a minute to get them set up and activated. Attempting to create a wall when there is anything solid in the way causes the seals to fail and be ruined.
Also, yes, once we get our PS level up we can totally make a 3D Seal version of the Force Wall, and shrink it down to the point of a blade or something.

We should be able to reduce it down to a melee weapon length. That seems fairly doable. And making it a one-tag seal seems fairly possible with our Sealing stat.

Take it, set the parameters, slap it on a spear, or a sword, and boom, magic damage on a mundane weapon through the power of Sealing: Yes.
