@eaglejarl @Velorien @Paperclipped did we ever get a ruling on whether Hazou training plans are allowed right now?
Hazou training plan denied, try again when you have more time to train.@eaglejarl @Velorien @Paperclipped did we ever get a ruling on whether Hazou training plans are allowed right now?
So we will need to wait until we come back from the Archaeopteryx Island, to be clear?Hazou training plan denied, try again when you have more time to train.
Yeah. Just for Hazou to have narrative time to train. So we will need to wait until we come back from the Archaeopteryx Island, to be clear?
Minor QM oversight -- 'handseal' here previously said 'headseal'. Typo corrected.Rather, the notes use a set of jargon the vast majority of which bears no relation to anything Hazō nor Kagome have ever seen before, although the word 'handseal' does appear several times.
If we approach this with any sort of a 'well, there are two sides to this, probably' then they're going to rip us into tiny pieces and I will be rooting for them.this does not commit us to helping condors before hearing both sides of the issue. and incentivizes the condors to help us learn about the issue.
the resistance was still going last we heard. Leaf might also be affected/interested by how we treat these condors."As both of you have clearly inferred, my role will be to travel to Condor lands, together with an escort, and serve as bait in order to lure out a Resistance leader who has proven immune to hostage-taking and other traditional means of population control. Any condor with a modicum of courage will certainly seize the unprecedented opportunity to exact vengeance on the destroyer of their race. I am assured that actual danger will be minimal, insofar as no condor resistance cell is capable of standing against the might of a champion who conquered humanity's greatest warriors at the Chewing Exam and proceeded to overcome Conjura herself in open battle."
"And if you take direct hostile action against the Condor Resistance," Ami concluded, "that's as good as a statement that Leaf sides with the Pangolins against the Condors. Boom! There goes any risk of Leaf pushing for Condor liberation now it's seen their potential with its own eyes."
"Snowflake notes that it may also be a response to the lack of passion I have shown in publicly mocking and disparaging the Condors and their culture. It may be that Pantsā wishes to corner me into facing the consequences of my actions, with the expectation that I will be forced to take an ideological stance."
however Conjura herself has already surrendered to the pangolins. so the resistance continued without her. but will these condors continue after hearing that?"As for the second…" She looked at Lord Noburi. Yes, there it was. Pride, but also resignation. Frustration. Longing. A complex cocktail of emotions that Ruri recognised all too well. She'd been given an incredible gift by the Hokage and the KEI. A summoning scroll for a clanless ninja. A chance for a jōnin who was merely very good at her job to become something greater. Yet all of that power was out of reach, never hers. Conjura tolerated her out of necessity. The Pangolin boss considered her an extension of his dominance of the Condors. Neither was prepared to treat her as a summoner, with the right to make her own contracts. Neither considered her politically relevant except, at best, as a mouthpiece for Leaf. Yes, Ruri understood what it meant to be a useful tool.
I don't think so? IIRC, making a contract with a Summon involves exchanging blood (pricking palms, and smooshing them together or something). There's also probably some Intent and Identity stuff going on, since those are also mentioned by Kei at one point. Both parties probably have to know each other's given name and Intend on forming a contract while exchanging blood....Is it possible to make a contract with a summon without meeting them in person, if both parties agree to it?
Exchanging blood need not happen in person, either, though.I don't think so? Maybe the blood has to be exchanged at the same time, and getting another party's Identity and Intent involved (the middleman who exchanges the two) only muddles things for ChakrAI? Or maybe, after a certain distance, it stops being (rituallistically speaking) "your" blood.
We could also just tell Ruri that they're here and she could make her way to Arachnid (especially given that a Condor came over to Arachnid not that long ago to confirm the whole Dragon thing)e: To clarify, I'm trying to work out if the condor summoner could summon our friends here. For what purposes, I'm not sure yet.
On one hand: these condors might galvanize the whole Crusade thing.Speaking of which, this whole situation is a good opportunity to make her relevant to the story again
I doubt it tbh, they've seen it firsthand (being neighbors and all, and also all the enslaved Condors serving the Pangolins hanging out) and they don't care enough to do anything, especially with needing unity against the DragonssOn the other hand: upon hearing the condor's plight firsthand, the Bosses might suggest a march on Pangolin Land as a testbed for the First Crusade.

Better to ask these condors for help surveying the Dragon Battlefields, and then use them as meatshields against the un-personed Dino Birds. It's just murder. Easy-peasy, even a genin can do it!

>they are now indestructible after regaining their armor from eating the PangolinsNow, the "let the Dragons kill the pangolins" is an interesting idea.
I inferred it from my quote. With a high enough certainty that I didn't bother qualifying it with a probably.
That is flatly not true. We cannot go up against an entire Summon Clan (or even a single Boss!) With S-rank sealing and shitty Athletics and Alertness, Hazou will just get killed. Better to wait a couple years and then try.I don't think we should reveal anything to the Condor refugees right now. We are only two months out from S-Rank sealing (though it will probably be four) and then we can just Itachi any of the clans that we want to. Taking risk now when we are on the edge of being strong enough just seems foolhardy
I do think it's worth noting that S-rank Sealing would only mean that we can create powerful seals (though the speed at which we do that would still be severely hampered by Hazou's Calligraphy stat). If we fail to win the Initiative roll, then we may never get the opportunity to use those powerful seals. Or if Hazou's Physique isn't high enough, then he could die before he has enough time to use them.I don't think we should reveal anything to the Condor refugees right now.
