Requesting Clarification on Tonal Reading: biting sarcasm, or well-intended snark?
Yes.

(I am merely commenting on making sure Atomu knows what's he's getting into by accepting, and making sure that he is willing to do so)
Hmm sure OK. I wondered if any of them were interested in going but I can remove that.
[X] Action Plan: The Council Will Decide Your Fate

Could you remove discussing the mission in general? Without a follow-up (ie why are we talking about this?) it sounds more like we're giving a report/bragging about our deeds.
Updated to reword the Mari segment. Changes in cyan. Word count optimization will begin tomorrow.
Two thoughts:
  1. I recommend you switch the order of "Assign Clan Roles" and "Mari blah blah"; otherwise it sounds like we're optimizing stuff after we do the stuff.
  2. Are we not setting Fuyuki up as potential Treasurer?

1. Good point, fixed
2. Sorry, got distracted, fixed

Two more comments:
  • Didn't Snowflake and Kei make physical contact, not just Snowflake? Perhaps it would be best to give the thank-you to her to Kei as well.
  • Highly recommend you also add "train people who need training" to the Goketsu Clan Organizational Structure (and your plans), just for the added redundancy.

Changes made...
  • Added Kei segment in Snowflake plan
  • Added training to Structure and to Plans for maximum redundancy
  • Deleted Atomu from the Organization Structure, pending Mari's feedback. Otherwise it's like we're saying "Cool, but I'll do what I want, anyway."

Changes will appear in pink, to distinguish against hyperlinks.

So I think Atomu should be ambassador. Because civilians already go to him. Part of why he was adopted is because he was helping organize protections for civilians. He has a civilian daughter. He's already filling a lot of the roll. And I'd argue he's more approachable, which is helpful. I also just think that "help show the people that Goketsu cares, by doing things that care" would be something he would enjoy significantly more.

I also think we should get to know our new adoptees better before we start slotting everyone in, in case they show potential for niches we don't yet have filled.

I think Akane would be an okay Diplomat. The fact that she's on good terms with Naruto, the KEI (don't know about the Kei though) (and on good terms with Kei, and therefore an in with the Nara), the Yamanaka (wink), and a few other clan heirs/now clan heads goes a decent way. "Hazou is being kinda dumb right now, but I think he's right and here's why" is totally a conversation I can see her having with multiple people. But I'm also fine holding off to see how other folks we have shape up.

Fair, I wasn't sure what we actually do need to do to fix her pyramid so thought this was a requirement

Though since we are at first detour what do we need to do?
Well, let's take a look at what the end of the detour should look like:

She'll need Resolve in the 70s to end detour 1. That means having two 60s. I'd say Athletics and Taijutsu. I think Paper once suggested Athletics and Alertness as the 60s, Taijutsu a tier below. Either way.

She needs 3 50s. Either Taijutsu or Alertness depending on which we want in the 60s will be one of them. As for the other two... shrug. What do we want her to be good at? Flame Aura 50 makes some sense, although pushing it higher than this is dicey because it starts to inflict a lot of stress when she gets hit around this point. Stealth 50 is also an option, with Time Ladder bonuses invokes etc she can easily get over 80 on Stealth rolls. A Stealth/Examination combo would make her a really solid scout in addition to her good punching abilities, especially if we get her Wind for Vacuum Step since I suspect Wind has quite a few good stealthy jutsu.

She needs 4 40s. Chakra Reserves should be one, though it could be a 50 if we wanted to wait longer. Physique 40 also makes a lot of sense. She's pushing joninhood by the time this detour ends, and she'll need jonin physique, especially to use her fighting style. Elemental Mastery is another must for EM nuke. For the 4th 40, she could learn another good ninjutsu. If she knows Wind or Earth element by this point, one of those could be a 40. Stealth can go here if it's not a 50. Her capstone social stat (empathy or rapport perhaps) could also go here.

5 30s. This is where we start to get to the chaff. Socials, Medicine, random (but still good) ninjutsu, Examination if we go the scout-build route, etc can all slot in here, same goes for the 20s and 10s.

Sample pyramid:
Resolve 68 (ready to be pushed into the 70s)
Taijutsu 60
Athletics 60

Alertness 50
Flame Aura 50
Stealth 50

CR 40
Physique 40
EM 40 (to 45)
Empathy 40

Rapport 30
Examination 30
Deceit 30
Presence 30
Trapmaking 31 (already there)

Mednin 20
Medknow 20
etc etc you can put anything here really

What do you think of my plan, which explicitly asks the rest of the clan what they think about who should do what role, and lets people volunteer themselves/opt in to the role rather than just picking someone?

I'll add some misc details later and format better when I'm back on my computer

[X] Action Plan: The Council Will Decide Your Fate
Word Count: 274
  • Optimize with Mari. Ask potential nominees beforehand if they're okay with being nominated, don't mention them if they aren't interested.
    • Assemble ALL available Goketsu, including three yet-unadopted genin, Kei, and Snowflake.
    • Have someone recap past 2 months
    • It has been brought to Hazou's attention not all clan roles are currently filled. Hazou wants to give everyone a chance to voice their opinions on roles.
      • Clan Head, Spymaster, and Administrator are filled.
      • For General, Hazou nominates yuno. Anyone who's seen her fight probably agrees. If anyone else volunteers hear them out, then vote.
      • For Diplomat, many of you are a great choice. Hazou would like to nominate Atomu. He is an exemplary clansmen with a good attitude. However, he may experience bigotry in the role. If he doesn't want that, Hazou understands, but the Goketsu will support him against bigotry if he accepts. It will send a powerful message to other injured ninja. Hear out other volunteers and vote.
      • Take volunteers and votes for Ambassador. Hazou cares about them all, but on occasion his awareness for supremely obvious things is as dull as the rocks he shapes. It's very important to have someone checking on needs of their clansmen so they can bonk Hazou on the head if he's missing something.
      • Take volunteers and votes for Treasurer. Kei and Gaku have been handling this but it's really a full-time job with all the random income streams of the Goketsu. Possibilities include Kagome, Snowflake, Reo, and anyone who's good with numbers really.

Scary thought:

Orochimaru saw Noburi. Orochimaru knows about Vampiric Dew. Orochimaru (likely) knows Shadow Clone. A Wakahisa fishlady went missing on her way to Leaf.

Orochimaru may have FOOM.

Edit: false alarm, I forgot Orochimaru is stagnant due to S-rank and a lack of meaningful challenges. Just keep him away from Dragons and hope he didn't give himself the VD bloodline.

Ok somehow I neglected Substitution 30 and shadow clone 40 as part of that pyramid, just keep that in your thoughts as well

[X] Action Plan: It's Not a Harem, I Swear

  • Invite, with her permission, Ino to join Hazou, Akane, Kei, Snowflake, and Yuno, and update them on all the gossip that's gone down in their absence.
    • As the premier socialite of Leaf, Hazou can think of no one better to talk to about this.
    • (Depending on Vel's preference, this can turn into polycule hell with more of the Snowglobe, Noburi, Neji, and anyone else showing up)
  • Spend time reading Jiraiya/Oro's sealing notes, and working on sealing research projects, using Shadow Clone supplementation as appropriate.

I remember hearing it as "We're not allowed to raise a new capstone without first fixing our build." I remember this because I recall feeling like that's an awful lot of leeway to give to a bunch of munchkins.
Consider it along the lines of "hey, we made this rules change for valid reasons but it's going to constrain your immediate choices. We'll work in good faith on the assumption that you will as well."

[x] Returned to Home and Hearth, A Wild Snowflake Appears

I was right about Akane and Ino needing to be close for the throuple to form, and I'm getting a similar idea here. For a fourple, I could see Akane and Ino realizing how Snowflake feels about Hazō and gently coaxing the entirely oblivious Hazō into adding Snowflake to their dates.

Perhaps they find out when Snowflake goes to Akane/Ino for advice. Thinking she's cleverly obscured the boy's identity, Snowflake carefully doesn't say which boy it is that she may or may not have hypothetical feelings for, but Akane and Ino can tell she means Hazō in less than 2 sentences. Snowflake's adorable awkwardness and vulnerability melts their hearts, and the two girls later agree to nudge Snowflake into their polycule.

How does that sound, my fellow polycule fans?

Oh, I've been shipping Snowflake with Hazou for a while. Seriously, search the thread for "Snowflake," and then filter by my username. I've made an embarrassing anount of effort posts about why Snowflake needs to grab Hazou's hand and lead him to a Cafe.
