tbh i dont really know what you're talking about but considering we were discussing what was originally a joke it probably doesnt matter that im not following

Basically the idea was if noburi would have to deal would a conga line of petitioners it would get old for him fast wouldn't it?
So when Hazõ notify he would getting back with yuno he would probably would use this info to get rid of it as soon as possible, the possible prank he can pull on Hazõ is not worth withstand the petitioners for much longer or having yuno see him with girls around.

I mean daam, no wonder that J-man may be seriously considering monogamy before nagi island and why Kei had such a massive crush.
 
This looks like we're (as in, the picture viewer) on the receiving end of some gentle (as in, Not-A-Horrible-Torture) genjutsu.
Or she might be just waterwalking (or... watersitting?) under (cherry?) blossoms because anyone sensible would, given the chance. But the concentric circles that would be the water and the wind through her hair and robe feel like a "spinning" effect, and the air of weightlessness and carelessness really do give a very soft, calming, impression. As if resting upon a cloud.

I do suppose this is what a Sunny Day genjutsu must feel like: a warm smile, an inviting hand, resting on cool water without getting wet, in the shade of a blossoming tree.
 
It feels innocent, in a way that's squarely uncanny for Mari. I am more unnerved than calmed or mesmerized. Good art though.
 
Yeah mari looks inocent and nice enough, the thing is that we know mari and Hazõ himself is paranoid enough to correctly asume that an jounin is anything but naive.

To me, it's having a lot of different emotions at the same time. The way I see her emotions is Initial encounter = indifference, using people as tools. After some time you add traces of protective feelings, team mom feelings, guilt for using people that's very quickly quashed. I think this part stays as a part of her emotions.

Jiraiya adds the chance for something new and a different life which leads to hope. The team doing generally well adds pride. Then guilt again for being the social spec. Jiraiya dying adds fear, bitterness, a confirmation that life is bad. All of the recent bad shit adds a lot more fear. Being needed for her skills adds resignation, duty and some grit.

Hazo still being there for her adds the needed warmth that makes her interesting because I think otherwise, she would have become much colder in her inner self. It adds the genuine family dynamic. I think Mari carries a lot of these emotions around all the time when she's not compartmentalizing them for the sake of a job that needs to be done.

I see the picture as a clash of different things and I like it because that's how I view her. I prefer the innocent expression over the seductive one - I think it shows her history more. And you always have to wonder if this is her finally letting down her mask for a moment, or if it's another mask because she still thinks her skills are needed to keep things together...

She's sexy anyway because I'm a degenerate
