Sorry about your traumatic experience, but if it doesn't affect the laws of aerodynamics in Mfd gliders should still be a possibilty. Even if it is harder to created them than what @Inferno Vulpix originally wrote

E:
I'm hoping that this is all 100% canon in MFD, and everyone half-remembers that one time the Land of Sky ate its wheaties and decided to take on Leaf, and did alarmingly well - and then have no idea how it managed that, at all. Some kind of flight Kekkai Genkai, maybe?

How can it be cannon in Mfd if it shouldn't have happened yet o_O

I'm totally willing to buy that the laws of physics have subtly changed to disallow gliders somehow - the relevant equations are now an absolute nightmare to look at - but it's somewhat moot with skywalkers now, isn't it?

Well, how old was Naruto in this movie, and how old is he now?

I don't really think the laws of aerodynamics are going to argue with you, but some Spooky Bullshit might take offense at you undoing its hard work.

Now, what that Spooky Bullshit is exactly, that's a question I consider worth investigating...

And what's the best way to investigate it than to make it to expose itself by making it angry? ;)

To give you further reason never to think about this subject again, I will tell you that there is a filler movie (that's a tautology) where ninja from the Land of Sky bomb Leaf (in the literal explosive-dropping sense) using glider-type equipment. They also have flying machines with chakra laser weapons, kunai machine guns, and, as their ultimate weapon, a flying fortress capable of launching strategic-scale chakra attacks. Naruto and Sasuke destroy it from within through massive damage so the movie can have them cooperating for the greater good despite this being post-Shippūden.

We might not have been able to have flight at the start of this quest (despite my initial efforts).

Zeppelins and seal based rocketry might never pan out.

But by Jashin we have:
  • Learned the art of Sealing while we were fugitives
  • Created flight through Skywalkers
  • Gained access to the world's former (RIP) best sealmaster's notes and all of said notes' explosive goodness
  • Naruto, a jinchuuriki, in our new noble clan
It may take IRL years to accomplish but establishing aerial dominance and creating WMDs is our Jashin given birthright as a hivemind.

It is unavoidable.

It is our destiny.

475 is roughly the distance from Mist to Leaf. If we assume ninja speed at 20mph, it will take 23.75 hours. Double speed, you get 11.875 hours.

According to wikipedia:

Hang glider speed: faster - stall speed about 30km/h. Never exceed speed up to 90km/h[citation needed]

Let assume we can go 60 kph on average, which translate to roughly 37 mph. With a little boosting from our engine, we can expect a courier lag time to be around 12 hours if you have a relay set up.

If gliders are softbanned by the Grue we should just use the nets and macerators design, with some sort of parachute.

Why would they be softbanned?

Yes.

I'm too traumatised to remember it all, so a lot of this is from the wiki and should be taken with a grain of salt.

Oh, one more thing. They also have a Zero-Tails.

My read on this is "You are probably (read: almost surely ) not getting gliders."

Not getting != not creating

We might not be able to find already existing gliders or other forms of air transportation in MfD but since we already made Skywalkers ourselves I would assume we would be capable of creating other inventions capable of revolutionizing warfare and/or civilian pursuits.

It would feel kind of bad for technology that exists in our world to be fundamentally banned because it also existed in a filler movie, imo. And it's not like we need gliders to carpet bomb cities in the first place, so if that's the problem with gliders it's not like banning them stops us from doing it (and banning carpet bombing as a concept because it happened in a filler movie would be just as bad imo).

By the way, what is the plan once(If we survive enough of course) we obtain Shadow Clones? Training montage? Intensive research? Launch a clone at Rain to make contact with Akatsuki?
And as important, what do we want to keep as Clan Secrets? Everything we discover? Almost everything? As Skywalkers shows, for all we know Leaf Clans don't really care about our accomplishments as long as they can use them.
Also, Did we check if Jiraiya left notes on Konan paper-arts?(We should, of course ask Naruto, as Jiraiya left him his ninjutsu notes) He was his teacher after all, and even if he almost surely doesn't have her techniques ready to learn, he could have left something from which to start learning it.

EDIT: Shadow Clones are going to be gigantic headache mechanically, considering our tendency to min-max everything...or we are going to become S-Rankers really really fast, trauma from using Clones included.

I don't have strong opinions either way (besides "don't waste too much of our time on this in the short or mid-term" that is).

It's entirely possible though that whatever made gliders/henge/whatever retroactively never a thing, is also continuing to do so.

*shrugs*
