Morning/Afternoon: R&D with Kagome
  • Jiraiya can help as he wishes.
    • Quality bonding time between sealmasters.
  • Research
    • Casino Seals
      • We're trying to eventually fine tune these into decent chakra detecting seals.
  • Also just blow some shit up for the hell of it.
    • Stress relief.
  • Debrief Jiraiya on the remainder of our plan
    • Is it prudent to invite Neji to game night?
      • Is he still grounded?
  • The three of them go out to get ramen afterwards.
    • That Ichiraku Ramen place looks good...
Afternoon
  • Team Uplift delivers the game night invitations.
  • Once everyone but Kakashi has been invited the Team try to track Kakashi down to give him an invite.
    • Check his house, favorite haunts (ask Gai), etc.
    • Or not, if he's on a mission (Ask J beforehand).
  • Hazou asks to spar with Lee and Gai-sensei.
    • Youth! Taijutsu! Learning!
  • Everyone else trains as they wish.
  • Use any remaining time to refill seals (see Misc.)
Family Game Night

  • Invite:
    • Nakano
      • He can bring his Genin squad if he wants.
      • He does not have to bring anything, really.
    • Team Gai (Including Gai)
      • Invite them all individually.
    • Kakashi
      • When he inevitably refuses, challenge him to a cookie bake off in a few days.
      • Unless he's on a mission.
  • Good natured fun.
Misc:
  • Refill our seal loadouts.
  • Make explosive tags and 5SB's.
  • Schedule:
    • Send a messenger to the Uchiha compound to invite Sasuke to lunch at some point later in the week.
    • Schedule a therapy session with Yamanaka Neira for Hazou in the next few days.

I may come to regret voting to introduce ourselves to Sasuke while blackout drunk but this is the closest to what I want. So, placeholder vote until something better comes along, I guess.

How much XP do we have? And how much can we spend?

Basically I'm asking how many skill level ups can we get before the final part of the exams.

This is my thoughts on it exactly. The way I think we should approach it is asking her what she does in her international efforts, and figuring out if there's anything we can do to help. Do not make our help conditional on hers at all.

Setting aside Jiraiya's political situation, she is almost certainly our strongest ally -- not of convenience, but of desire.

Training from Hell
  • Challenge the following Jonin in the village to a Taijutsu spar.
    • Asuma
    • Kakashi
    • Gai
    • Tsunade
  • Drink a saucer of sake after each spar.
  • In fact, each Jonin can get out of this just by drinking a saucer of sake with us.
    • Kanpai!
    • Have a good amount of small talk with each of them.
Long Lost Family
  • Show up to the Uchiha compound and find Sasuke
  • Explain how we are cousins by blood.
  • As Sasuke is literally the closest-in-age blood relative of ours, we should bond and get to know each other.
    • Taijutsu spar with Sasuke
    • Bar hopping with Jiraiya, Noburi, Kagome, Sasuke and Lee.

If we're doing research with Kagome and Jiraiya, shouldn't we be doing the Mountain seals et al? Jiraiya outright said that he thought it could be a good project for the three of us to sink a few hours into when he has time.

And do we know if Sasuke's in Leaf right now? IIRC he was off on a long-term mission when we were in Leaf before the exams. Am I misremembering? Did he get back while we were away?

I...do not think that is a sufficient enough safeguard, given Jiraiya's attitude.

Also, I really do not want for Hazou to become an alcoholic. Because this:

Id change "each Jonin can get out of this just by drinking a saucer of sake with us." Because any Jonin can basically just tell us to eff off, and I wouldn't be surprised if such a phrasing made its way into a scene based on our past luck with faux pas.

Maybe something like "If no spar, see if they'll at least speak with us over drinks"

Oh shit. Hazou's family has a history of alcoholism. Remember Hana drinking herself to death when she thought Hazou was dead?

Yep. That was literally my only concern. Hazou deciding to let off steam by getting his ass handed to him in unusual ways would be entertaining.

Kakashi could give us the bell test!
 
Okay, so can people suggest ways to make this better that aren't drinking?

This is sadly a blindspot of mine. I dont know how to grease the wheels on awkward social situations without an appropriate amount of ethanol, since thats the solution Ive been using for the last half decade.
