Inviting people to the after party probably works against the image that we need to cultivate to guarantee Shikamaru's gambit to get everyone to team up against us is successfull
 
Sample preferred order:

  • Trigger happy beatsticks first.
  • Unpopular people next, who get swayed by the beatsticks.
  • People who are close friends with those already swayed.
  • The bulk of candidates.
  • Social spec, intelligence boosted bloodlines, and Kurenai last (they know us, they know ISC, they have the means and motive to make this fail, so we deny them opportunity.
 
I think we're a bit hung up on the waking up thing.

Noburis drain is a full 24 hour knockout.

We started with 22 hours remaining in the event.

Anyone drain KO-ed is going to wake up bleary eyed a few hours into the rest day, if not longer due to how much crap we kicked out of them.

Edit: Sure, Constant Vigilance but I dont think this merits more than a passing comment to Shika

It's more controllable than that. They wake up as soon as they hit full chakra. So we can drain them again (slightly, bad things might happen if they hit empty), and reset that timer.

It shouldn't have, since Kagome doesn't know about that. OTOH it would be absolutely IC for Kagome to make extras, for a number of reasons (e.g., some of them got damaged due to stinking ninja stinkers getting the seals wet).

I mean, at worst it's 20 5SB which is like 8-9hr of work. Should be doable even if we start after this Event.

We can also use our remaining explosive loadouts to bomb out surrounding vegetation and whatnot now. And just stockpile all of it in aforementioned undeground tunnels.

We can also use our current prodigious chakra pool to MEW up a bunch of very thin rectangular sheets to 5SB later in Round 2. Store them in storage seals.

No need for paint shenangians!

We should make a list of things we want to talk to/ask Hana about when we get the chance, since that might happen soon.

So far I've got:
  • Hana can help Hazo accept and feel better about the breakup. (Protagonist mental health is important. Only you can prevent forest fires youthsuit incidents.)
  • She can help us better understand the behind the scenes political situation to whatever degree she's privy to. Reactions to our domination of the most recent exam will probably be interesting. She can also keep an ear out for anyone who might be willing to break the rules to get revenge of a permanent nature on us, and suggest people to watch out for in that respect.
  • Training stuff! There've got to be some interesting uses of the Iron Nerve that we weren't ready for when we left that we're able to make use of now that she can teach. Being a Jonin she probably also knows a variety of other stuff. (Do we know what Hana's specialties are?) She could contribute ideas and tutoring to our training for the tournament if we make it in.
  • She might be able to help Noburi and Keiko with whatever bits she knows about how their families have been. They might appreciate family news, even second hand.
  • We could consider asking whether she has any suggested leads on the Naruto situation. I don't know what the OPSEC situation is with that information, actually. Do the higher ups of Mist know about it already? In any case as an experienced Jonin she probably has her own network contacts that'll be very different from the sources Leaf has access to. We might get lucky and she'll be able to suggest somewhere to look or someone to talk to.
  • We could fill her in on some of the safer stories from our adventures.
  • We could ask if there's anything else she thinks we should know.
  • We should also fill her in on what Leaf is really like, just in case she isn't already aware that Mist is a dystopian hellhole in comparison. I think we'd like to ensure that she winds up in Leaf. (Maybe we should ask Jiraiya about the politics of eventually giving her permanent sanctuary or membership in the clan?)

Take no offense:

I dont want to do most of these things at the Round 1 victory party for various reasons.

I just want Hazou to socialize and have fun, and maybe get some experience being a person without us throwing checklists of orders to him mentally.

I dont want him to open the can of worms that is the Akane Situation. Dont really want him to try to do anything but relax and get to know everyone there, and catch up with his mom.


Anything that falls in line with that is okay in my book.

Not to be pessimistic but if Hazo gets knocked out or injured during Round 2 he might not be able to make the seals for the pangolins. We should just be making some during the rest day to be doubly sure.

Also, lets test the imposion seals to check if they would injure tunnelers after being triggered from them tunneling too close. Use Earth clones for this.

I think we can confirm now after this update that whatever the defense engineer can cook up combined with Panashe will just roflstomp the earth tunneler guys.

True, stuff that fits in with a party is going to be a limited subset of the master list. It's still useful to us after the second exam though.
 
I think we need to schedule some sort of "make seals" schedule.

From my calculation, production of 5SB is almost a full week of production, about 37.5 hours. If we schedule an hour a day to produce seals, it means we have 30 hours finished.

This avoid the situation of absolute hell on earth drawing enough seals at the last minutes.

There's nothing stopping enemy proctors from simplying moving everyone to completely different sites. Or destroying the fortifications. Or any number of things they can do to fuck us and they will because they hate us.

Any and all attacks are gonna be within the first hour or so, it's insane to give a sealmaster more time to prepare. Which means, at worst, Hazou is gonna wake up an hour or two after the Event ends.

In either case it doesn't matter because if we lose the Event we have nothing better to do than to churn out seals.

Kagome can take care of it in the meantime but Im hoping that shoving some XP into Calligraphy will help this

The reason we're given Kurosawa pose names is because this is via Hazou's perspective right? So he knows most of the poses but just hasn't trained in them/made expressions for them himself so far? Random ninja just see well-tailored expressions as opposed to exact things conveyed (ex: she looks intrigued)
