Lockbox has possible Jonin level traps already in it.
Simply exploding it won't be enough. We'd need some force-wall Radvic bullshit to unlock it or Kagome level precautions with the explosions to open it without the key.
Hazou or Noburi reminds the other ninjas about one of the overall purposes of the exams: it's an extension of international politics. Leaf and all of the other villages represented in our assigned team will remember their actions, positive or negative, in future negotiations.

Jonin level traps are not jonin level reinforcements. They're meant to keep a blue team's matching red team from opening the safe without a key, not to keep a pain train from blowing the thing to high heavens with multiple full power explosive seals. The goal isn't to open the box with explosives and then retrieve the documents, the goal is to annihilate the safe and everything in it. This should only be done to nonmatching blue teams though.
Sounds good. Basically the same thing as before. Maybe we should give them the uplift spiel so that they know where we stand in regards to geopolitics.
I think keeping the plan as it is is preferable. The thing we can actually offer is a good working relationship with us, not changes to the way Leaf will view their Village in the future. Changing international politics because of how an unimportant genin acted in the chunin exams would be insane, and I'd guess that our teammates know that.
EDIT: In other words, promising something they know we can't give hurts our credibility.

Of course, some unimportant genin can't upend all of geopolitics, but their actions here do represent that of their village. You are however right that the main thing we have to offer here is a good working relationship.
PLEASE reread and post more comments if you have ANY WORRIES, no matter how slight.
I am going to sleep now (Edit: eh, soon, whatever), and will wake in the next 6 hours or so. I WILL be reading up on whatever fuckups I inadvertently put in.
OK! NB: The main difference here is that Keiko is summoning more and more Pangolins. I still feel that we should continue ramping up our Pangolin count, since Pangolins are faster than ninja and should be capable of chasing fleeing ninjas.
Alright there's more changes than that now.
Word Count: 599
[X] Action Plan: Zabuza the Pangolin
Does the round end for us when we turn in our documents?
If proctors won't be on-site all the time, how are they going to enforce the rules about severe injuries and about simulating T&I facilities?
If a contestant withdraws to a medic, can they gain positive points for the round? Could they still lose points?
If a Red Team turns in documents from another facility, who receives the points? Nobody, this Red Team, or the Red Team assigned to that facility? Does the corresponding Blue Team loses points?
If someone suffers a lasting injury this round, will they receive a penalty for this injury at the end of the next round as well?
Tell teammates plan with handsigns.
Prep: Talk in Air Dome for OPSEC/protection. Cover mouths when talking.
Word-halves:
Teammates deserve a share, but possessing others' word-halves is dangerous for R2.
State: We intend to store word-halves in storage scroll. Emphasize our quantity & how many are traps/bombs.
Trade (real) explosives for letting us take others' word-halves.
Subtly signal Keiko/Noburi to step in if challenged.
Friendly participants: We want some people (ISC) to keep word-halves; do others have similar wishes?
Max: 1 friendly per teammate.
Ask Doigama about his Wolf compatriot if he doesn't mention him.
Distribute seals: Give enough for use before each battle. Make sure teammates store separately.
Explosives: Encourage liberal use. BE CAREFUL.
Training tags for people.
Weapon:2 for demolitions (don't give too many to avoid accidental homicide).
Oxygen Mask: Protect from Doigama's poison.
Earmuff seals: Banshees.
Chakra:
May need teammates' chakra for Summoning. Make tactical benefit clear (More Pangolins = less danger).
Check allies' reserves:
Reasoning: Familiarizing eases future transfers.
Note Kato's reserves. If lied, confront + consider drain-KO & medic delivery if team agrees.
Debrief allies on dossiers & general facility layout.
Don't give information beyond dossiers.
Carrot/Stick: Signal teammates to negotiate.
Remind ninjas exams are extension of international politics: We'll remember actions for future.
Don't make this sound ominous.
Subtly drop hints re: value of good working relationships with Hokage's children.
Keiko: Remind them betrayal is unwise, ask Pankurashun what Pangolins do to traitors (Intimidate).
Re: Poltics bullshit. I believe that line was more of a "We will work together to get points, and we are amicable towards small concessions as long as you are on board with our plan."
If it can be worded to stay this way or if the suggested bullet can be a sub-bullet in some way thats fine.

Have all of the talking about consequences for betray, reminders about carrots and stick, etc. near the start of the update and include options for people who want to work with us but are ill-suited to doing so and those who cannot work with us due to orders from their leaders (or any other reason outside of their immediate control). The first option allows people who aren't well suited to combat donate their chakra to a combat pangolin summoning and then assist with brainstorming, keeping watch, etc. The second allows for people to not harm us by putting us down a member by transferring their chakra over to a pangolin instead. Both options should allow the drainees to have just enough chakra to walk over the the medical station and/or find a nearby proctor and tap out if they choose to do so.
At this point if someone refuses to work with us we should have some mechanical bonus to social rolls against them because it's fairly obvious they want to screw with us. They could still choose to act like they are willing to find alongside us using their own chakra, but if they act against us we have already pre-committed to put them on our international shit list. There's only so much we can do to prevent betrayal during the event but afterwards we can make anyone who tried it regret it.
Putting pressure on the genin to think about the broader consequences of their actions outside of the exams themselves is, in my opinion, the best way to make sure they stay in line while we are still competing. No grunt wants to be blamed for starting an international incident and we should use that to our advantage. Combine this with the code words from the previous post and there is no way for some traitor to impersonate someone else on our team to shift the blame onto an otherwise helpful or neutral party.
We're not containing prisoners with them, we're using them for personal protection when destroying Blue Teams' lockboxes (they have jounin-level traps on the inside).

I'm not sure, see the discussion on the previous page. Something something hyperintelligent active Jounin-level defences?
... Actually, the reasoning seems to be that the lockboxes are robust, so we'll need a lot of explosives to destroy them, and the resultant explosion will need to be contained, hence Force Walls. That makes more sense.

Yes, and we can't just trivially pop a directional explosive to cut the front off the lockbox because *unnamed Jonin defenses*.
Realistically, it could be some nasty bullshit that by chance doesn't interact well with being opened via explosives(Read:Mist tried to Hazou proof it) so we should proceed with the Kagome degree of caution.
They may have been able to cook up something that stumps a Mist-emulated Hazou but I don't think they'll be able to defeat countermeasures by a Hazou emulating Kagome.

Right but we don't know if that could also set off a trap.
So the best thing would be to use Force walls as containment while we pop it like a shook soda can, with some Usamatsu's on standby in case the trap is poison related.
This is of course not taking into account if we get the key or not.
Which reminds me:
@faflec, when you wake up, oh lord of thorough and diligent plan writing, would you be able to:
0) Take the previous few comments into consideration
1) Specify that an Earth Clone is to deal with the lockbox in any situation regarding opening it violently, in case of traps
2) We are to consult our teammates on best strategies here: Someone with the best skill set should be opening the thing if possible.
2a) Note: Since Hazou has an Associates Degree in traps and paranoia, that will likely be us.
@faflec when you wake up I would strongly suggest against last minute edits unless it's *really clearly* a problem. We have a tendency to overoptimize, and overoptimization means fragility. FWIW I don't think any of the outstanding issues merit last-minute changes, except maybe instruct Hazou to think "WWKD?" wrt opening trapped lockboxes
