Can we finally break up with Akane now?

Of course. I think we got the most out her after this update anyway and we should set our sights on the next girl we can exploit. Ino has a pretty powerful bloodline but securing the Hyuga clan's cooperation by seducing Hinata sounds good to me as well.

Actually, if we split things up and have Noburi seduce Hinata then we can get Ino at the same time. Keiko is already working on the Nara.

So basically what I am saying is: Lets take over Leaf through the power of teenagers flirting with each other.

Guess we need Kagome almost murderize a couple more teammates before Hazou learns about OPSEC. One wasn't enough.

Maybe the problem was the *almost*.

So we need to pull Shika and Keiko aside and let them know that when we cut to the chase they shouldn't just blithely ignore us and bullshit around in a potentially compromised location in such a scenario.

And then thank Shika for the assist with the politics. Good man.
It happens.

Im vastly more pissed that Shika,Keiko and Hinata just almost cost us the event.

I am almost thinking that Hinata purposefully did not tell us this proctor was coming. Note how she was the one who took charge and weaseled is out of it, for the most part.

I don't trust X-ray irises chick.

In other news, what do now?

Alright, so... try to find our secret role partners, then? Not sure what else there is for us to do here now.

Remember that breaking OPSEC on secret techniques is something ninjas kill over.

The way I see it, we have to break up with Akane now, or murder the rest of STL. Our hand is basically forced here.

Wait I'm confused, does that mean we also broke OPSEC for Team Asuma on EM?
Hazō has explained to Shikamaru that the plan is to corral people into one area using a non-damaging heat ninjutsu, then use a seal to release an alcoholic mist which will make them intoxicated and likely to reveal that they are ninja or make other bad decisions. At Shikamaru's request, Hazō has given a basic summary of Elemental Mastery and the tipserator, and confirmed that neither is expected to pose a health risk to the targets.
The retconned version of 190 took into consideration the huge amount of flak I got for interpreting "explain the plan to Team Asuma" narrowly even though they were allies.

I believe that this was what Team Asume was aware of? If so, I don't quite see how "as much information as you told Team Asuma" could be interpolated to include explicitly stating who had access to the jutsu, barring an invocation.

But note that the plan was written with the assumption that they'd be doing this.
Assumedly, Hinata is taking a peek to ascertain who won the bets made.

There was no point hiding it from Team Asuma--it's too easily deduced based on who was doing what in the run-up to the operation (Team Uplift was occupied looking for allies, Team Kurenai was occupied being looked for, and of Team Clanless it's obvious whose trump cards Hazō would know).

@eaglejarl @Velorien @OliWhail

Does Hazou know his possible point total for this event, assuming his current information gathered up until now is correct and not taking into account any negative points he may earn from others in the ballot?

An approximate answer would be fine

Can we not get caught up in this, guys? It's happened, it's done, move on.
Yeah, I have no beef with it happening. In the plan or not in the plan, it's a thing that Hazou does (unfortunately) and I'm not torn up about it.

Anyways, play it safe for the rest of this exam? The proctors already basically know we did this, or suspect hard enough to want to keep a close eye on us, and we already got our table-flip. With the info we got from Shikamaru we can do pretty well here too, so I'm okay with taking things normally.

Yes, the point scoring was pretty explicit.
I see that he has a total of 100 roles or so in the after update description but I'm not sure if this takes into account any past information or not so I was asking to clarify. Unless I missed something?

So, things we need to do:

Target Urahara the Fur Trader (Has the Blood Release bloodline and has each of our scents from the Stone Cold Killers incident)
Get our Secret Role partners
Take advantage of chaos

I think the most disturbing event of this update was Hazou taking someone acting in accordance with their own incentives as a personal affront.

It should be obvious to anyone with a brain that Hinata would benefit immensely from her father being made Hokage over Jiraiya, and thus it shouldn't surprise anyone in the least that she isn't going to be swayed by appeals to help prevent that from happening.

Of course, not all of your allies are going to agree with you on every issue, and if you insist they must agree to every relatively minor sticking point, you're going to have a hard time finding anyone to play with.

Hazou needs to learn this lesson sooner rather than later.

Here you go. Full scoring rules are in the 'Informational' threadmarks tab.

At the end of the event, there will be a closed ballot for which roles belong to contestants. For each civilian ID you correctly identify as belonging to a contestant, you gain 2 points and they lose the same amount. If you correctly identify their secret identity, you gain 5 points and they lose the same amount. You gain one (1) additional point each for being able to specify that ninja's village of origin, team affiliation, and/or name. You lose 2 points for each proctor/real civilian you name as an examinee. There is no penalty for guessing the specifics of someone's village, team, or name.

If you and your counterpart correctly identify one another during the ballot, both you and they gain 30 points. If you *fail* to do so, both of you *lose* 30 points. Each participant will receive a full list of both civilian and secret roles at the beginning of the event.
Causing someone's assigned disguise to break is cause for disqualification as well as a penalty of 200 points, regardless of whether you do it yourself or induce someone else to do it.

After some discussion, the teams agreed to a limited trade. Shikamaru filled in the blanks on all the teams from the Oyabun's dossier, plus Team Downfall (he rolled his eyes at the name) and a few others he speculated to be top teams. He already knew everything your team knew due to earlier trades, but offered a total of 100 roles. They include the ones known to you, and probably others you will soon hear due to the disaster outside. They also include all the other Leaf teams, with whom he encouraged you to share the list in the name of greater Leaf dominance.
EDIT: Fixed the last quote to account for the latest update.

The roles Hazō already knew are included in the 100. But note that the 100 includes the non-STL Leaf teams. It's up to you whether you want to vote for them too.

If it was something major, then I'd agree to let it lie, but when it's something that involves a logical leap that I'm honestly not convinced of, and when it could be fixed by a slight rewrite of a single paragraph, or formally invoking a trouble, then I find myself somewhat annoyed.

We should also point out to STL that they can make a significant amount of points by outing each other and their exact identities.
