@eaglejarl, I think the system as-is is a mess, and I'd like the QMs blessing to attempt an overhaul.
Incidentally, does interpreting Int as 'understanding of chakra dynamics' fit your model of the things it's been keyed to?

PSA: PlanBot has been updated

PlanBot is now on github! I haven't really added any new features to the bot itself, but at least the code is now somewhat manageable rather than a huge sprawling mess.

The biggest change is that now you can view the data in a more user-friendly format from the site, without having to copy and paste the data into SV first. I know it's pretty terrible formatting, but in my defense I tried like 6 bbcode editors/parsers before I gave up and wrote my own shitty parser instead. At least it works. @faflec I hope you're happy. <3

Also no longer requires commands to be posted on the forum here and can fully be controlled from the site (to start/stop/schedule summary updates). PM me if you want to know how to do this.

Lets not even talk about his social skills. Reading the quest from the beginning, it looks like he has gotten worse over time instead of showing improvement.
Oh I wouldn't go that far. I still remember the wooden delivery of
"hi! *insert fake backstory here*. We need supplies!" Followed by "hi! *insert same story told exactly same way* We need supplies!"

I remember thinking that it was a good rendition of Deception 2 or however much we had back then, and also really sad :₽

Now that Hazou has learned that silence is golden, I have big hopes for our pc.

Akane being out of hospital likely means she spent some of that xp, probably on punching. I would not be surprised if, even with Roki's edge vs Akane, she'll be able to consistently defeat Hazou in CQC. More so than before, I mean.

Re iron social, mom is all but guaranteed to know it, since she was a perfect heir before love happened. One more reason to rescue her to the pile.

As @Velorien said, could you expand on this? Are you objecting to a specific mechanic or to the system as a whole?

If there are specific issues then suggestions for patches are always welcome. If you think the entire system needs an overhaul, and if enough other people agreed that we decided to do something, then it would probably make more sense to move to a professionally-designed system instead of trying to redo this one from the ground up.

I think Int is more general than that. Sealing and / Technique Hacking would be more in line with chakra dynamics. Why do you ask?

Personally, I'm mostly happy with the system as it is. There are quirks to it, and a few places that it's rough around the edges, but above all else, it's fun. To me, at least.

e: As an aside, I'd like to suggest Hazou learn about the process of production and craftsmanship so that when we get around to working on airships we can introduce Leaf to the assembly line.

How are you going to find all the people to work the assembly line? The population of the Elemental Nation is already so small as it is.

Assembly line labour is mostly unskilled-craftsmen stuff. It's a lot easier to do than the apprenticeship model once you get it set up.

OK. You found this awesome productivity enhancing thing, but also requires more labor, requiring more workers. This increases wages.

That's not a bad thing. What it might do is suck in farmers who are looking for better living, reducing the amount of people who works the land, and so forth.

You're also going to make the existing craftsmen angry now that their service is in less demand.

Clones? Civilians?

I mean, if we have an Agricultural Revolution we get a huge labor surplus, so...

Agricultural revolution is going to be great, in the long term. So is introducing the assembly line.

It's just...it's going to be a pain in the butt for the hokage and the daimyo. At the very least, we could get Hazō and Keiko to outline the potential consequences so that the decisionmakers can stay ahead.

Is he? He's Jiraiya's godson, not adopted son. That's not a legal relationship that would confer Naruto clan membership.
Isn't the 'godson' thing's purpose, at least in a nonreligious setting, to give the child someone to default custody to in the event of their parents' deaths? Granted, Naruto is a ninja, so he's considered an adult in the eyes of the law, IIRC, so.

I don't think the Hokage really has to give any more of a damn than he wants to, and the daimyo doesn't factor into this at all -- they are a complete figurehead.

It depends on the culture. But as you said, Naruto is a ninja and therefore lawfully an adult, and the time in which he would have had Jiraiya helping to raise him would have been during a time when Jiraiya didn't have a clan. Even if Jiraiya did have a clan and custody of Naruto, it wouldn't necessarily mean that Naruto would legally be a member of Jiraiya's clan because Naruto wouldn't have necessarily been adopted into the clan.

I distinctly remember the daimyo as a glorified bureaucrat. Yes, he's the one who actually govern Fire country.

Also, the hokage do have to worry, if only to maintain stability in Konohagakure.

You know, I just realized we literally have invented a system to make diplo rolls better for us: CCnJ.

Skill: Clear Communication No Jutsu
Composure*1, Intelligence*3, Resolve*3

Requires both parties to have skill.

Bonding over frustration about inefficient ways to communicate, Hazou and Keiko created a new conversational method in a burst of analytical creativity. When introduced, CCnJ was met with indifference to eager adoption, but Mari sensei has warned that some may not understand and there are definitely situations where it is not okay.
  • Social interaction will add n/(n+1) of the difference between the lower diplomacy stat and higher diplomacy stat to the lower diplomacy stat rounded down, where n = the lower CCnJ level
    • e.g Hazo CCnJing with Keiko will give Hazo 14 dice and Keiko 21, Hazo CCnJing with Rock Lee will give Hazo 8 dice and [unknown] die for Rock Lee
  • Using CCnJ on target has a chance to remove two diplomacy die from all interactions within the conversation if the target does not have CCnJ or does not approve of CCnJ in context (read: marriage proposals, etc.)
