I'm really hoping that was just them yanking our chains. talk of shoggoth cultist ninja with a 600 point build is something I don't even want to think about...
 
Man, you guys are making Quest-Running look unbelievably entertaining. Where you can just drop in with some context-less conversation and terrify the questers even if they know that it's probably a joke.

Ooh, damn, looks like I misread the spec -- missed a '0'. Apparently it's actually 6,000 points. @ClawClawBite, you're obviously good at the number crunching -- on a 6k point buy, how many of the following can I pump to 40?

  • Sealing
  • Stealth
  • Awareness
  • Tactical Movement
  • Taijutsu
  • ~10 other skills -- we're still debating exactly which ones)
  • Katon: Nuclear Blast (@Jackercracks, you were supposed to come up with a better name for this!)
  • Suiton: Precognitive Danger Sense (and this!)
  • Fuuton: Wings of the Wind God
EDIT: Don't forget the secondary/tertiary affinities and the bloodline costs. We're counting the Rinnegan as a secondary bloodline, so you'll need to burn 30 for the primary bloodline and another 30 for the R. Thanks for taking care of this!

All things considered? Not that scary. We just have to not be in the immediate vicinity of the thing so it wastes time eating everybody else.

Remember kids, you don't have to outrun the shoggoth, you just have to outrun the next slowest person.

Ohmigosh, thank you, @eaglejarl ! When I suggested Nice Job Breaking It Hero and In The Name Of The Moon I Punish You, I didn't expect you guys to go and make it a viable endgame strategy! Okay, now I need some really vital information so I can plan out our win:

Where in the Elemental Nations can we buy a set of sailor fuku?

Ah, of course! Now just to figure out how to plausibly make contact with the ninneko to get a mystical cat mentor and get an in with the Uchiha. If they can point us in the direction of Madara's hideout in Iron, even better! We just need to catch the eye of Zetsu and we're sure to have an eldritch abomination powerful enough to take on any eldritch abomination the QMs throw at us!
 
@eaglejarl The sealing 40 alone is 2458, I'll take a look at the full build when I'm not on my phone. The int x 1 makes burdened seal costing easy. I will make estimates on appropriate stat requirements for exotic jutsu.

Edit: Oh, I forgot the wits, that gets it up by another 208, to 2666.

Man, this is one decision where I really don't feel confident in. I was expecting a big infodump from Inoue, and then we improved/remade our plan, but if we're going with whatever we pick now minus some nitpicks, then we're going to have to start gathering info from the new Drive page. Iron Train actually sounds fairly good to me right now, but I'm not gonna vote until Friday at least.

(Non-canon) (you know, probably)

Across the breadth of time and space, through mountains and across oceans stretched a design beyond mortal knowing. The Seal was made in millennia and an instant. Beautiful and terrible, the ripples of its creation sung out to the time of the Sage and the Biju, setting in motion the events that would lead to the birth of its creator.

Sharingan-filtered it scarred the minds of an entire clan, warping and twisting their thoughts with insane plots and pointless vengeance. Byakygan-seen it brought panic and despair, and in their fear they caged their own kin in terror of what they might create, of what they might become. Rinnegan-glanced it shattered the mind like a sledgehammer through a glass monument, driving forth all reason and forcing a young god through an endless search to end the tortuous pain of existence.

On a grassy plain a figure smiled with razor lips as her works came into being. Sub-arrays stole chakra from the land in self-reinforcing cycles to create more and greater parts of the whole. Great segment-syllables scarred the land with fire and acid while sub-clauses shattered mountains to dust along precise geometric lines.

At once, all was still and ready. For a single perfect moment the entire world seemed to hold its breath.

Then the screaming began.

Heh. Get Genjutsu 40 and Fuinjutsu 40 and you could probably pull of PROJECT: MOONS EYE (PATENTED BOND VILLAIN PLOT DO NOT STEAL)
