So it's Pantsā?If anyone's trying to guess which eldritch entity this line refers to, note that Jashin's tongue was cut out in a mythological fight against the Sage of Six Paths. He is silent, he obviously hastens the cycle, and an enormous bloody gash is exactly his kind of symbology.
No, Itachi with a sore throat.
You can always just share the chapter with them this doesn't really require knowing anything about the character since lot of it is told and/or implied I did something similar with the chapter on orochimaru's backstory (granted that person is a Naruto fanfiction writer but still)Wow. That's probably the most actually dream-like dream chapter I've read in my life... and it's an interlude in a ~decade long, 10k+ page forum quest I'll never get any of my IRL friends to read. That's not even getting into the other Velorien writing touches that I'm already used to - the cultural symbolism, the depth of the non-POV characters, getting hit with that feeling of "Oh wow, that is something they'd feel/do/say" every couple of paragraphs. Just incredible stuff, as always.
My partner, who hates knowing anything about Marked for Death and is only forced to overhear the broad strokes on group calls, was able to follow it. (She thinks Yuno ought to be applying anti-genjutsu training to snap out of being bullied by her own dreams.)You can always just share the chapter with them this doesn't really require knowing anything about the character since lot of it is told and/or implied I did something similar with the chapter on orochimaru's backstory (granted that person is a Naruto fanfiction writer but still)

It's dark, depressing, and for some reason the QMs enjoy tormenting the players rather than making them happy.
I mean, you're the ones who decided not to tell her why it was important.Too bad she never leveled Resolve like a real Goketsu. Scrubby scrub scrub
Good thing she's now working-Too bad she never leveled Resolve like a real Goketsu. Scrubby scrub scrub
Woops, maybe now is a good time to teach her meditation. And that sounds like a very healthy investment for Yuno too.I mean, you're the ones who decided not to tell her why it was important.
We were told she was having trouble fitting in! And we figured there was no experience more relatable than being denied lore...I mean, you're the ones who decided not to tell her why it was important.
Didn't we tell everyone to level Resolve in the hopes we would one day get them FOOM? Did I imagine that?I mean, you're the ones who decided not to tell her why it was important
The math says otherwise, but it also assumes a lot more time available to do FOOM (5 years or more, potentially), when realistically speaking we will probably have solved most of our problems within that timeframe or died trying (or made them worse)
We did. So either Vel didn't have that in mind or the implication is Yuno ignored this order.Didn't we tell everyone to level Resolve in the hopes we would one day get them FOOM? Did I imagine that?
Was it before Yuno joined? We did. So either Vel didn't have that in mind or the implication is Yuno ignored this order.
I don't think so but I also don't care enough to actually go check.
This was also pre-unstagnations, so FOOM is somewhat less important now. Since finding the combat missions at full FOOM speed is actually somewhat difficult when balancing our other obligations. The math says otherwise, but it also assumes a lot more time available to do FOOM (5 years or more, potentially), when realistically speaking we will probably have solved most of our problems within that timeframe or died trying (or made them worse)
I get your meaning but I think technically speaking it's still worth it, and maybe more worth it, since you can keep getting a decent income even when fully stagnatedThis was also pre-unstagnations, so FOOM is somewhat less important now. The thing is -- will it pay off on the timescale of the quest? I don't think it will, and that 60's slot might very well matter. Although I suppose we would have died to the 4FSoP sealing failure without it, so objection retracted.I get your meaning but I think technically speaking it's still worth it, and maybe more worth it, since you can keep getting a decent income even when fully stagnated
But when you try to work out the relationship of how often you unstagnate to multiplier income... yeah I ain't computing that shit
And maybe it will let us handle Itachi's Tsukiyomi, it could be further plot relevant yetThe thing is -- will it pay off on the timescale of the quest? I really enjoyed nonchalantly brushing off Kurnai's aura(while severely consequenced!), and have been waiting for that to come up again. And maybe it will let us handle Itachi's Tsukiyomi, it could be further plot relevant yet
Piggybacking off this- also worth mentioning if anyone else is curious:The thing is -- will it pay off on the timescale of the quest? I don't think it will, and that 60's slot might very well matter. The first one is before we started boosting Resolve specifically for FOOM but capstone Resolve has still saved our lives three (3) times on top of the one already mentioned.EJ on Discord said:ch257: Allowed you to derail Zabuza before he set off WWIV
ch492: Saved your life against the Dragon
ch545: Saved your life against the bats
ch612: Saved your life against the psychic shock of the seal failure
ch664: Saved your life against the Leopard's mental attack / followup attack
When we finally hit Resolve 69 I look forward to ignoring Snuncle when he's being annoying. Finally Oro is forced to figure out how to handle social scenarios some other wayI really enjoyed nonchalantly brushing off Kurnai's aura(while severely consequenced!), and have been waiting for that to come up again.
Last time I think it only worked for him because we had a Severe and the QMs decided to ad hoc things to mean taking 1 shift of Stress off 1 roll meant Oro won a one-sided victory. I don't think Hazou has had Oro try to intimidate him uninjured since getting Resolve 62 yeah. One time he had resolve 59 uninjured but got a -6 (major Jashin L) and got BTFOLast time I think it only worked for him because we had a Severe and the QMs decided to ad hoc things to mean taking 1 shift of Stress off 1 roll meant Oro won a one-sided victory. Tragically I expect this will have to wait for Resolve in the 70s or some stunts from hazou for this to work, cuz of no TYS bonus to Resolve.I don't think Hazou has had Oro try to intimidate him uninjured since getting Resolve 62 yeah. One time he had resolve 59 uninjured but got a -6 (major Jashin L) and got BTFO
This time will surely be more fortuitous
