The issue is that it contains information that, despite certain folks' access to outside information, Kakara never actually learned.

Specifically, for those who are curious, I believe the issue is that...
...Kakara doesn't know that Cynthia was responsible for the "capsule debacle" Sucal mentioned Berra being mad about.

@PoptartProdigy did I get that right or is there something else I'm missing?

Except the post didn't say that. It said that Berra is still irritated about the Capsule Debacle, which involved her entire House. It works just as well as him going "oh, fuck this, a Balor is causing trouble again", and all the request for spoiling it has done is made the information brought to prominence.

It does so only in the context of Berra being angry at the problematic individual specifically, so alas, context strikes again. In spoilers, it stays.

[x] Time to stress-test your new sight abilities: see how many visions in a row you can handle, and how long do you need before you can have more, starting with the one regarding Guru
-[X] Take a break when it's time for the debriefing.

So do you want to miss the debriefing?

I don't necessarily begrudge the sub-vote version of this vote (though I'd like to ask everyone voting for it just how they think we'll just know it's time for the debrief), but the unaltered version runs a high risk of us missing some or all of the briefing, which seems a bit rude to Bassoon, and/or runs a chance of us missing an important piece of information due to him forgetting to repeat every item he gives the leadership on this planet.

This is how we'd know:
Ah, I should clarify that. Yes, he cleared Dazarel too.
[] Take the vision (No check; next update contains a vision interlude before moving on with the day).
[] See if you can't poke it towards another vision (Moderate-high-difficulty sight check to switch; next update contains the result before moving on with the day).
-[] Toru

-[] 17 and 18

@PoptartProdigy based on her (admittedly limited) experience with visions, does Kakara consider it likely that these (or at least the canned option) will make her miss the meeting, or does she think that they will end before the meeting starts / partway through? I don't think it overly effects my choice but I realized I don't really have good priors for vision lengths.
If it starts stretching long enough that she's likely to miss the meeting, she'll drop out, but time experienced subjectively while in a vision equals objective time passed viewing it.

I'd prefer not to miss the debriefing, but I care more about knowing the sight's limit.

It would be a bit rude to Bassoon, but I think he would understand if we explain.

We could always offer him a few visions once we know how many we can spare, and we might learn something he'd want to know (like, for example, whatever is happening on new namek).

Worst case, we ask him to explain again, and apologize after explaining why we weren't paying attention..

Even if knowing about our Sight is ultimately more important than the debriefing (and I agree that it is), we don't need to know about our Sight right now and the debriefing is a time-limited event. What do we lose if we wait to test our Sight until afterwards, like the next time Bassoon is asleep? What exactly is the benefit to maybe being rude here, when we could just... not be rude?

The debriefing will even give us ideas for things to See! If we do rapidfire visions now, then we're basically just groping around blindly. If we wait a few hours, then we can test our Sight and also get more useful information at the same time.

And I'm still not convinced that there will be zero side-effects of going on a vision bender that our sensei specifically blocked us from doing. We may not be able to pay attention. If something goes wrong, I'd prefer to deal with it with an empty schedule.

Thank you for articulating these points better than I've been able to. I agree with these items 110%.

I do! It sounds super awesome! I just want to eat our vegetables first.

Also, as happy as I am that the correct choice seems to be (narrowly) winning, maybe you marathoners should do something about that vote splitting? It would win handily if everyone were on the same page.

Yeah, I do too; it's why I didn't vote for the pure marathoning-visions one, but the one with the subvote for stopping in time for the debriefing.

Let's not be rude.

Alright I'll just say my piece

I don't get why so many people vote to stress test sight

1. we do not have time to properly stress test sight, a single long-running vision can consume all our time

2. Stress testing sight causes stress, we do not currently have downtime to reduce stress.

We have a debriefing coming up not down time

3.during the debriefing would get a lot of new information which we could use to stress test sight

P.s. on phone Sorry for Spelling

Knocking out a bunch of the things we can See quickly will answer some questions for us, and let us then properly focus on the information we are soon to get. That will then let us See the things we will want to after the infodump with a) more practice and b) more focus.

Besides, I bet Kakara will enjoy playing with her Sight, considering it was crippled until recently. It's like when you hold a cat's tail still - as soon as you let go, they're going to thrash it around as much as they can.
