@PoptartProdigy based on her (admittedly limited) experience with visions, does Kakara consider it likely that these (or at least the canned option) will make her miss the meeting, or does she think that they will end before the meeting starts / partway through? I don't think it overly effects my choice but I realized I don't really have good priors for vision lengths.

@PoptartProdigy did he check Dazarel as well? The text is unclear, and I think it's what most of us were worried about.
Ah, I should clarify that. Yes, he cleared Dazarel too.

If it starts stretching long enough that she's likely to miss the meeting, she'll drop out, but time experienced subjectively while in a vision equals objective time passed viewing it.

We have to take the vision.

If we've learned anything from the recent days, it's to NOT IGNORE VISIONS when they pop up with any persistence.

So yeah, let's give our newly-unrestricted Sight a test run while our host is getting ready for his day.

He did see both of our Masques, right? The saiyan one too? Please let him have seen both of our Masques.

I have to wonder just what kind of precautions Bassoon considers to be adequate for dealing with a potentially hostile, potentially half-trillion ki-unit saiyan. In his place, my idea of a good precaution would be to have a heart attack so I don't have to deal with it.

I want to take the vision as-is. It's either especially important or especially weird, and either way would be more informative to us than us redirecting the vision to whatever we guess might be important. And, obviously, ignoring it is right out.

To be fair, by the time we received the vision, it was probably too late for us to win; our only viable countermove would have been something like "IT away as soon as possible, preferably the instant we recovered from the wound we got from Vegeta back-shooting us, try to charge up a Spirit Bomb and go Spirit Saiyan faster than Yammar can rally the other enslaved super-saiyans, and kick everyone's asses." And I can think of several ways for that to go horribly wrong.

...

You know, I'm pissed enough at Lord Vegeta for back-shooting us that I'm starting to think I want to write an omake specifically to get back at him for that. :p

Contingency-activated teleport to a designated place of, if not safety, at least far enough away that we can't immediately chase him?

Bassoon: Wow, you saiyans are really good at magic! I have never seen anything like this!
Kakara: I have mixed feelings about that, considering we are going to face our greatest prodigy in the field.

Honestly, I just want to see what an unfettered vision is like. This is a primary character ability, and we just gained full access to our semi-trained potential. If the vision runs long and we miss the meeting, it is not the end of the world.

@PoptartProdigy

would something like this be possible?

[] Time to stress-test your new sight abilities: see how many visions in a row you can handle, and how long do you need before you can have more, starting with the one regarding Guru

Vote's open! Somehow forgot about this entirely.

Sorry my reply's late. Yes, this would be quite possible, and fascinating for me to write.

Fun for the audience and the GM.

we do need to know our new limits, and we won't get a much better chance than this one until after we deal with Dandeer.

There are some risks, but i think it's worth it

This could be interesting. Or painful. Maybe both.

wait, can we overcharge our sight with Ki? could we do it by gathering some ki with the genkidama?
@PoptartProdigy

Even if we don't do it now it's something to consider for the future. A vision powered by a spirit saiyan with the strenght of multiple super saiyans might be enough to have a vision about the enemy maybe.

Not to your experience.

Gotta give Poptart some love

How is magic not the best of the three powers again? You can boost it with Qi, so it steals most of the advantages of Qi, and it lets you spam conceptual effects. Most of the problems it has are also faced by the other two.
