..Actually, kinda changing my mind about this. I very much doubt that Dandeer could have put any spells on us and Dazarel's spirit, and I don't think an update confirming this would be very interesting.

On the other hand, I am pretty curious about what's going on in the galaxy, and more importantly, who exactly is besieging Arcosa. Hopefully it's just some vengeful warlord and not some kind of galactic confederation.

Well, we HAVE had a certain amount of paranoia instilled in us. Hopefully a healtyh amount, and not TOO much.
 
Or whatever primordial entity existed before the universes could decide to eat the universes to make everything part of it again and your only hope is to prevent it's agents from destroying reality's equivalent of support beams, which are all that's preventing that from happening.
 
Just going to point out that letting Bassoon examine us for magic also let's him get a very good look at our Masque and how it works.

He already knows that there is a secret Sayian colony, this will be telling him exactly how we managed to stay hidden.
 
Plus even if you narrow the galaxy down to 10%, that's still an enormous amount of ground to cover, so I'm not sure how useful knowing how Masques work would be to The Enemy without a fairly exact location on the Saiyans. Plus, it would probably already know about the general area the Saiyans retreated to since Bassoon seems to have a reasonable idea what section of the galaxy the Earth-branch Saiyans were last seen in, so we should assume that The Enemy already knows that much, as it was fairly well-known among those paying attention if Bassoon is any indication, which The Enemy would.

If he wants to know the answer to that question, he'll find out. If anyone starts brain-scanning random Namekians and reporting the contents of their minds to the Enemy, we're probably screwed regardless given that we'll have to appeal to the Namekians for help with something.

We're not going to get out of the present situation without leaving some traces on the galactic scene. The best we can reasonably hope for is to leave traces only with specific friendly groups that can take care of themselves, or traces that the Enemy won't be able to interpret before they fade away into nothing, or both.

If we had a healthy amount of paranoia, we'd check with futuresight before trusting anyone or taking any risk. But this'll do.

Besides, we told Bassoon that we lost a fight with a mind controller right before appearing on the galactic stage. He might be worried about it, and it'll build trust to see that we're taking it seriously enough to make ourselves physically and emotionally vulnerable to some guy we met yesterday. It'll make us look desperate, pitiful, responsible, and good-natured - Fast track to friendship!

I really hope you're wrong. If Bassoon can't see some random sorcerer's activatable-but-currently-inactive spell on us, then he won't see if Dandeer put some activatable-but-currently-inactive spell on us. Like the exact spells she used to turn the tables on us during the Unsealing.
