I mean, Porunga is stronger than the kaioshins in many ways; see him and Shenron resurrecting planetary populations, while elder kai has to give his life to revive one person.
I think the consensus is that while 'ball' dragons aren't "strong" in the conventional sense, there is some quality about them which enables them to do easily things that mortals, or even gods, can't do at all.
It's like, they have some special exemption that gives them the power to do things easily, with minimum force, that would otherwise take staggering brute force.
Stipulating for the sake of argument that this was true, would it prevent Porunga from creating entirely new worlds with new inhabitants out of nothing? Without actually resurrecting any dead beings?
I'm not going to say whether or not Porunga can do such things, because there's a rather obvious planet which Kakara might want restored and it thus constitutes spoiler territory, but I will say that the operative factor there is not whether or not he can resurrect multiple people at once.
We know Porunga can create a planet, because he created New Namek. We don't know if New Namek is an identical copy of Old Namek in all respects, but we might be able to find out. In any case, if it was just a matter of wishing for a planet, Porunga could do that, possibly with some grousing about what a dick move it is to spring it on him like that.
Presumably, any uncertainty revolves around whether Porunga can use his powers to populate a planet.

Don't think Porunga could revive Earth by this point anyway. Earth's been dead for centuries, and Shenron demonstrated a 1 year time limit for mass resurrections, and struggled with resurrecting one person after 14-15 years.
Also, you know, lot of people went to heaven(and won't be let out) and good odds the Enemy set-up contingencies, since the Dragon Balls are a known factor.

Doubt it. He would have just wished himself to Garenhuld if that was the case. Well, he'd have phrased it something like 'I wIsH i WaS aT tHe LoCaTiOn Of AnY hIdDeN sAiYaNs.' or something, but still.
[X] Just relax. Kais on high, it's been less than twenty-four hours since you were kneeling in the mud at Dandeer's feet! Bassoon has been awake for longer than you've been banished! Just take some time and let it all out.
Breakdown
boom
You hair whips in the updraft as you blast the ocean away from its bottom, and you fire another blast.
Twenty-four hours.
crack
It's been less than twenty-four hours since she threw me out of my home. And now I'm out here. I'm on Freeza's home world, it's under siege, by somebody, and the namekian I landed in is telling me that the frost demons are the good guys.
You settle into a metronomic rhythm, blasting away the ocean and blowing holes in the seabed beneath.
And now it turns out that the Enemy is still out here, and he's been keeping busy by murdering our distant cousins one by one while we sat, safe and sound, behind our wards. He's so terrifying that Zeno himself ordered Heaven onto lockdown, and I can only go in to see my family if I go through literal Hell.
Your tempo increases.
I'm alone. All I've got is Dazarel, and he's going to be trouble whenever he can get away with it. I don't have anybody I can really trust, I don't know how to steer when I move, and I can't count on staying in Bassoon's head forever. Where am I going to land next time? Bassoon's nice, but he's way weaker than me and he's still running planetary blockades with no backup! I'm helpless here!
Breathing harshly, you frame the sea with your hands. "KIKOHO!"
whump
You hang in the air, breathing deeply as you watch water fountain in all directions. ...I wish Jaffur were here. He knows how to handle this. He could understand. And it's not like I'd be ripping him away from anything. And he didn't screw anything up. I wouldn't have to keep myself from yelling at him.
Your breath comes faster, and you thread your fingers into your hair.
No. No, that wouldn't work at all. I don't know how to handle...that. Whatever that was. What he felt. He doesn't know what it is. I sure don't. But that...I can't handle that! I'm thirteen! We're thirteen, we shouldn't have to deal with anything that intense! I couldn't have him in here with me. Yeah, sure, figure out the other Scion's weird as hell feelings by locking yourselves in a room together for kais know how long. Sounds great!
You start laughing, a hysterical noise with little grounding in any real mirth. Your breath picks up a harsh tone as the laughter keeps spiraling further out of control. It's only a few moments later, though, that you finally choke on it and it all sputters out in a harsh, labored gasp. You breathe for a moment, trying to get a handle on yourself.
I just want to go home.
You lower to the ocean's surface and slip beneath the waves. It's easier to pretend that you aren't crying when you can't feel it.
* * *
You lay on the beach, staring up at the sky.
"How is he still asleep?" you grouse, watching as Bassoon turns over onto his side.
'He did say that he was awake for thirty hours.'
Your eyes flick over as Dazarel comes in for a landing. "Oh, great. It's you."
'Are you done trying to blow up the slug's brain?' asks Dazarel.
You sigh. "Yes."
'How about the leaking? Are you finished with that?'
You scowl. "Shut up, Dazarel."
'So disgusting,' he sighs, laying down a few feet away and licking his claws.
"Don't you have anything better to do?" you ask, laying your head back down.
'No. I am a disembodied spirit trapped in the head of a hostile mage. I can look at the oh-so-stimulating scenery, or I can talk to you, Ape Princess. At the very least, you're worth the time.'
You roll your eyes. "Careful, or you'll wind up complimenting me by mistake."
'No mistake,' he answers. 'You beat me, fair and in the open. That much is worthy of respect.'
"You turned on me the second you had the chance," you say, turning your head away.
'Of course I did,' he chuckles. 'I'm a dragon.'
You grunt, but don't reply. You don't really have the energy for it, at the moment. You're a little cried out. You feel...floaty. Less tense, though, so there's that.
"I wonder why the planet's under siege?" you mull, stretching. "I didn't even really think about it, but there has to be a lot going on in the galaxy, if Freeza's home world has been locked down like this."
Dazarel shrugs. 'Things are in chaos. The prey squabble. I pay very little attention to the specifics. They get up to this sort of thing.'
You swat him, ignoring his yelp. "At least try not to talk like that. Bassoon's going to try to kill you if you annoy him too much."
'...fair,' he concedes. 'I will try to restrain my contempt.'
"You really are a vile little thing, aren't you?" you sigh, pulling yourself to your feet.
'Properly, if you'll recall, I'm no small thing at all,' he points out.
"Nah, but I guess that's what you get for being that nasty," you say, starting a stretch. "Don't complain too hard, or I'll figure out something worse next time." In the sky, you see Bassoon starting to stir. "Time to put on your good boy hat, Dazarel."
He grumbles, subsiding into silence, and hop-glides up onto your shoulders.
One long period later to cry, vent, and just sit, you've blown off a lot of stress. Kakara will still need mental relief at regular intervals, but at the moment is in no danger of spontaneously melting down during the course of normal operations.
What did you want to do with Bassoon?
[ ] Ask about the state of the galaxy. He dropped a lot on you last night, but you get the feeling that there's an awful lot more. Get a general overview of the shape of things.
[ ] Get specifics on your cousins...cousin. Toru. It doesn't sound like the Namekians know a lot, but every little bit helps. Maybe you can help him?
[ ] Bassoon's a mage, right? You're feeling paranoid, after the Unsealing. Ask him to look over you and Dazarel for foreign magic.
[ ] Get to know Bassoon a little better. He's your host; you might as well be familiar with him.
[ ] Nothing. He's been pretty busy, too. You know you wouldn't appreciate the new voice in your head grilling you as soon as you woke up after running a blockade. Just watch.
[ ] Write-in. There is no earthly way I'm going to think of every question you could possibly ask.
MANUAL MORATORIUM; APPROVAL VOTING.
As always, people who tag me with write-ins get a mention.
Hope you enjoyed, folks, and I'll see you around the thread! For now, though...night!
EDIT: We'll pick up the pace of things in a bit. I'm just slowing things down at the moment for a breather.
[] Get to know Bassoon a little better. He's your host; you might as well be familiar with him.
[] Ask about the state of the galaxy. He dropped a lot on you last night, but you get the feeling that there's an awful lot more. Get a general overview of the shape of things.
The advantages of either of these are obvious; I'd probably favor one or the other but might be persuaded to try...
[] Bassoon's a mage, right? You're feeling paranoid, after the Unsealing. Ask him to look over you and Dazarel for foreign magic.
[] Get to know Bassoon a little better. He's your host; you might as well be familiar with him.
Then these two. 'Nothing' is a tempting option and we'll probably learn a thing or eight about the way Bassoon operates by watching him. On the other hand, it might be nice to cultivate in Kakara a healthy paranoia about magic that she acts on consistently. This may also tell us some things about how Bassoon views high power Sealing magic, since Garenhulder seals plus massive ki infusion is the one magical signature we KNOW is on Dazarel.
My last choice would be...
[] Get specifics on your cousins...cousin. Toru. It doesn't sound like the Namekians know a lot, but every little bit helps. Maybe you can help him?
We want to look into this, but not right now when we have so much else we need to know.
[ ] Bassoon's a mage, right? You're feeling paranoid, after the Unsealing. Ask him to look over you and Dazarel for foreign magic.
Yes please. Gathering information is good, but we can do plenty of that on our coming road trip. If we've got some nasty spells on us, we're going to want to know immediately, before we leak useful information to an enemy. If we don't have nasty spells on us, then it would be great for our peace of mind to confirm that.
In addition to this obvious high priority benefit, this would also help reassure Bassoon about how sealed Dazarel is, and it would help him trust us by independently verifying part of our story, and it would let us know how Dazarel's seal and our masques compare to magic out in the galaxy. And hey, remember when there were worries that Dazarel's seal might be vulnerable to outside-context problems? We've got an outside-context mage right here!
Strong preference for
[ ] Get to know Bassoon a little better. He's your host; you might as well be familiar with him.
Seems like we can do a lot better in our situation if we had willing allies. And, honestly Kakara could use some friends now.
Second choice:
[ ] Ask about the state of the galaxy. He dropped a lot on you last night, but you get the feeling that there's an awful lot more. Get a general overview of the shape of things.
I think we'll have a better chance of knowing what to do if we learn more about the state of the world.
[ ] Bassoon's a mage, right? You're feeling paranoid, after the Unsealing. Ask him to look over you and Dazarel for foreign magic.

Probably just going to vote for:

He hasn't had any time to set things up, and Dandeer was a Master Mind Sorcerer - the odds of him being both prepared and willing to whammy us with magic are pretty low. Though if we leave it for long enough, he might have the time to prepare something we don't recognise as being a threat.
We were unconscious around Dandeer for quite some time.
I trust the newly met mage more than I trust Dandeer to not have done something else horrible to us.
Anyways, I'm back. No idea why I'm still trying, but I'm here. So, we're in a Namekian. Brilliant. At the very least, they still remember what us Saiyans did for them. We should use the Sight to check on our relations ASAP; they could need help, especially if more of them are still alive than it seems.

I wouldn't be overly opposed to heading down new family after this, but if we somehow get things wrapped up with new namek story arc, at least temporarily, It's still a lower priority than meeting 17/18 and about equal to old enemies / probably freeza. There's just not that much we can do for him atm, except maybe taking the extreme risk of teaching super saiyan.
More seriously, the Namekian spaceship(made for Namekians) has a bed, and they have a word for "sleepy", which is part of the phrase they use for "bed", so circumstantial evidence points to yes, they sleep.
