Saiyans as they are right now honestly NEED a benevolent dictator. The transition to democracy must be done carefully to avoid civil war.
And hey, if y'all want to become Dictator of the Exiles, you don't even really need to fight for it. Just seduce and marry Jaffur. With your Communication score, it'd practically be easy.
..I'm not saying yes, but i don't want to say no...

It was certainly very damaging to the public perception of Berra's authority. The moreso once the truth outs. There is very likely to be a massive slice of the population calling for him to step down after this.

Which is slightly a shame. He didn't ask to get mind-controlled.

Well now I'm imagining the StoryShift of this universe involving Kakara in Dandeer's role. Due to a number of issues, she doesn't quite grasp that manipulating people thoroughly enough means that there's no functional difference between that and mind control, and Legendary Communication sounds like it could accomplish something like that, despite retaining her main universe issues with mind control. SS!Kakara's goal is basically to become a benevolent dictator, but she fails to recognize that she'd probably undercut the mages to the point of nearly driving them into non-existence were she to gain such authority, because she simply can't tolerate the risk of someone mind controlling the nobles. The SS version of the Exiles would have such an incident in place of Talt.

The worst part would be that she wouldn't even need to lie to convince people that the risk was unacceptable, as there would be a strong undercurrent of such sentiments already in existence. Though she'd have a massive blind spot where her version of Jaffur was concerned, because as far as she was concerned, he was an exception to the rule mostly by virtue of being someone she was friends with. Kind of like Canon!Dandeer's issues with recognizing that her ideal family never existed.

On the topic of Berra, well, he seems to spend most of his time screwing up, so... I'm not sure if I really feel that that's a loss.

Berra is a tragic figure who I strongly suspect Poptart set up on purpose to live out his days as the deconstruction of as many shonen protagonist tropes as possible. Poor bustard. :(

See the thing is. Jaffur is crazy. And while "never stick your dick in crazy" is not a piece of advice Kakara can follow the letter of. She can certainly follow the spirit.
One could have long and rousing debates over whether "never stick your dick in crazy" is a more, or less, imperative principle of healthy human existence than "never let crazy stick its dick in you."

Honestly, Berra should at least keep his job. There's this little thing called perspective. We see him mess up through no fault of his own all the damn time. Everyone else sees the many times he didn't.

And people are well-known for bearing those sorts of mitigating factors in mind when political leaders are involved in (or, often, just adjacent to) major screwups.

Our political capital is going to be so high we can't even measure it, unless we seriously fuck things up. Like:
We're a SSjRoyal who ascended in battle
-who's actually good at public speaking
Invented Golden Great Ape, which even the Z Fighters never had
Spirit Bomb
(Will Have) saved saiyan kind from dandeer
And we went on a galactic adventure and met Namekians.
-Plus possibly other saiyans, or ancestors 17 and 18

Like, forget endivan, our star should be starting near that of the Z fighters rhemselves in the eyes of most of the exiles. If we want Berra to keep his job, that's not an issue idt.

Even then, he's flat out better at actually doing the job. We're thirteen, and I gaurentee you that we'll miss a few years of our life over this crap. We simply wouldn't know enough.

Also the whole being able to talk to the gods of our people thing which may become know depending on what information of our confrontation with dandeer gets out

Well, between him, Apra and Kala(that's Kakara's mother right?) one of them should be able to advise us. I'm not sure how much she was involved with the decision-making process, but anything is better than nothing if the other two didn't handle the mind control well.

Kala is, I gather, as sharp as a tack... hhMMMMm...

@PoptartProdigy , I know Kala knows a prodigious array of fighting styles.

Does she know Instant Transmission?

What gives you the impression that democracy is a remotely workable system for the exiles?

Because Cynthia Balor is running down the street half naked screaming viva la revolution

Chased by Berra who is still irritated after the capsule debacle.

And her Uncle, who is grumpily getting involved only because he Saw it
