Going to have to disagree.

Sentence 3 starts with "He said", where the person who was talking to Janna was Marco, and then transitions to a clause where someone, namely Toffee, does something. So Sentence 3 reads:
"[Marco] said that Toffee had taken over Star's kingdom."

Sentence 5 starts with "And he said", where Marco is once again talking, and then once again transitions to a clause where someone, namely Toffee, does something. So we can safely assume Sentence 5 reads:
"And [Marco] said Toffee was already moving on the others in Mewni."

Sentence 4 starts with "He'd gotten", which does not refer to Marco talking, and instead refers to someone doing something. Based on the fact that Toffee is the one doing things in Sentences 3 and 5, we might assume that the person doing something in Sentence 4 is also Toffee. Based on the fact that Toffee has the Wand in DVV: Gridlocked lore, we really should assume Toffee is the person doing something in Sentence 4. So, Sentence 4 reads:
"[Toffee]'d gotten Star's Wand."

To put it all together, we have something like this:
"A week later, Marco went to check on her in her dimension. [Marco] came back three days later, looking like he'd been through a blender. [Marco] said that Toffee had taken over Star's Kingdom[, and] gotten Star's wand. And [Marco] said Toffee was already moving on the others in Mewni."

I'm 99% sure 25 Loyalty gives the full 15%.

guys? It's not worth arguing about we'll find out either when the GM clarifies it or when we meet him. Until then it doesn't actually matter

How would Marco have stolen the Wand from Toffee? If I remember correctly, Toffee's win condition means that he had to have the Wand at one point or another.

Even if Marco managed to pickpocket the Wand for a few seconds, he should have been killed right after.

Seems like everyone forgot this canon side story, so here you go. It doesn't tell us much. Only that Demona still lives in New York and that Maxim Horvath tried to strike some type of deal with her.

Thats about the only thing we know that is a 100% canon.
Sidestory is not canon. They are events that may have happened but the QM is not beholden to them.

Canonized omakes are in the main threadmarks.

Thats really confusing than because there are ones specifically called out as non-cannon in the threadmakrs, but the others aren't.

A suggestion for @Made in Heaven than. In the Mechanics threadmark under Fanart and Omakes can you make that distinction so readers know that? Just a small description of what a piece of work being in sidestory means compared to being in the main threadmarks.

Gah, it seems just my luck that I would join the quest right in the middle of no vote time.

Ah well, this has been a hilarious ride so far, and I can't wait to see what madness follows from here.

Stay tuned! The magical auction post should be up by tonight, and I expect voting to get intense as we dangle the shinies!

Anyways, I think that the important thing here is that it would take an incredibly convoluted series of events for the Wand to leave either Toffee's or Marco's ownership, regardless of who has it, and that neither of them have been interacting much with Toons that would cause that through their flavor of the Toonforce, to our knowledge, and that even if they did, it seems unlikely that the Wand would end up in this auction due to Toffee searching for it if he lost it, and both Toffee and Marco searching for it if Marco lost it, so I think it's fairly safe to assume that that wand isn't going to be in this auction.

Beyond that, even if it did end up in this auction, it seems likely that either Marco or Toffee would be at this auction as an indicator of such due to them searching for it. If Toffee tries to steal it instead of bidding for it, we may be able to make off with it in the resulting confusion from him attacking the auction, through usage of our amulet.

Me wants shinies.

Shiny-inator (good): Plans can select one action on this turn to give that certain, "je ne sais quoi", then intractable shininess that makes people want it. Any hero assigned to this action that has a trait that would cause them to roll to take it (absent minded, I Got a Little Bored. No Offense) does not roll to take this action. Any hero with a trait that would leave them unhappy or unable to take it (Goblin Fox) treats the action as a preferred action.

Shiny-inator (bad): Randomly select one action on this turn to give that certain, "je ne sais quoi", then intractable shininess that makes people want it. However, if the action is not taken, any heroes on national actions of the same type have a 1/3 chance to switch to the selected action.

So for the auction itself, to ensure we have enough money to buy what we want, will we get a list of all the high value items and then plan vote on which ones we get? Because I really want that Encantus Book.

"Certainly. Oh, but that reminds me." Xanatos says. "There are a couple of items on the block today I've had my eye on, but after talking, I think one of them might be of more value to you. Apparently, there's an item on sale capable of travel through dimensions. In the name of cooperation, I'll withdraw my bid. Good luck."
This statement confirms to me Xanatos has a form of dimensional travel, but I don't remember enough about Gargoyles to know what it could be, if it is anything from the show even.
'Do jobs for Brocamas' personal action unlocked for Janna! Janna can expect some interesting magical items in return for helping the leprechaun out with some odd jobs!
This will eventually be a decent action once we have some Occult heroes that can just be assigned to Occult actions normally; as it is we are strapped enough were are willing to hit a 1/6 chance of no Occult action for her bonus, and Kitsune can basically only be assigned to must Occult actions every other turn. Man, we really need that Occult recruitment action...

Huh, good question. Judging from Xanatos's mention of bids tnough, I don't think it'll be quite that simple. I wouldn't be too surprised if we were given a list of artifacts, then we're allowed to vote in groups of artifacts so as to partially simulate other people bidding on artifacts we might want. Thankfully we're in charge of a megacorporation and Lovemuffin did alright setting aside money for this auction, so I think we'll be able to acquire a nice variety of items if we're cautious.

I think that is because some are explicitly non-canonical with what we know in quest or QM confirmation. Some may or may not be canon but revealing which would be giving out spoilers.

It's either he already has one or knows of another way to get it. And us getting a dimensional travel method also fulfils his objectives of acquiring allies capable of fighting off the interdimensional warlord.

He's being smooth about this whole thing too. I'm sure everyone is surprised by that :V. This way he can appear generous to us by "allowing" us to spend money one something he wants us to have anyway.

[edit LOL autocorrect. Interdimensional changed to interdenominational.]

My personal goal, out of everything that has been listed, is to get the Encantus.

While I'm sure that Doof's relatives have quite a bit of knowledge, I doubt that they have it in the style of the Sorcerer's Apprentice, which may be able to be used to boost Doof's Occult stat through his Learning stat, and let us skip a few steps toward consistent magitech.

Actually , I wonder what happened to Jake Long? The Magus Baazar is still standing, so the Huntsclan didn't win. Humanity is still standing, so the Dark Dragon didn't win. Then who the hell won, and better question, are there any dragons floating just waiting to be recruited by a diseased pharmacist?

I think a lot of these aren't so much "the villain won" as much as "the hero lost", if that makes any sense.

Jake Long is a normal teenager who somehow never became a dragon because it skipped his generation for some reason.

edit: Just my guess

Jackie Chan adventures stuff is not canon for this quest due to contradictions with Gargoyles. Some elements of it have just just been included as a reference.

Maybe Jake went the Garu route and has basically settled down with Rose?

As far as I'm aware American Dragon Jake Long ≠ Jackie Chan Adventures so it's a bit odd to say that.

I was about to say Jackie Chan adventure is not canon for this quest because Jackie Chan is not Disney, but looking it up it seems it's been on Jetix and Disney XD, which has counted as "Disney enough" for other media in the past (notably, Pucca).

It has been a very long time since I've seen either series and I got them confused in my head along with the talisman thing

Regarding American Dragon
For DVV Gridlocked, American Dragon exists in the quantum state of "maybe". It does not have a fully-written article for the Huntsclan as triumphant villains, but elements of the series can mesh with Gargoyles (the main rep for NYC and the New England area) and be slotted in if a GM/QM wants to use them. I've done that for my own Gridlocked campaign, using a variety of American Dragon characters as NPCs to spice up Manhattan and beyond. MiH did too, so there are good odds of there being American Dragon here!

The Huntsclan are competent at fighting terrestrial monsters and magical creatures, but Bill is in another ballpark. At best, they are inaffectual until they can study Bill and create Huntstech to better combat his demonic forces. At worst, Bill corrupts them and uses any help they could have provided against you.

Also, they're evil bigots that use magic charms and items as needed to fuel their crusade to destroy all magical creatures. I doubt Doof would work with them unless the situation was dire, and they would go hostile when you provide succor to any of their quarry.

Further information we probably have to discover IC.
