"No Marvel" is a general rule with DVV because the Marvel U is gigantic and contradicts much of what DVV already has going on. Same goes with Star Wars, Percy Jackson, Kingdom Hearts, and other big works that are Disney through hook or crook.

I even used some Marvel in my own campaign to test the theory. Most of it was awkward and ill-fitting, and I only really did it because this game started before BH6 the Series took off and I needed more villains.

They could be used but we do not advise it. If you really need Marvel, just use OC stand-ins as needed.

Damn Doof actually already made a Luck Inator. Or well one that swaps their Luck.

maybe he can still make a good luck absorb Inator or a bad luck blaster Inator? Or would that fall into the same category as the swap luck inator

I'm willing to bet he can make some things that are very to one another. I mean he did make both an invisible cage and a invisible box before, and commented how they are both different and similar.

One potential answer for the scissors thing, didn't watch the show so it might not hold up, is, well, boundaries and thresholds.

They might not be able to use the scissors to get into a private residence without permission, or I don't know, the scissors might not be able to bring you to someone's place without permissions if you go there seeking to harm them. So, going there for a corn deal, perfectly legit, going there to drop off a bomb, doesn't work so well.

Edit:

DVV as a setting has Gargoyles so the Fae are in setting, I don't think it's that peculiar if the extradimensional monsters have to pay lip service to some Fae rules in certain ways.

*notices no mention of Crossgen*

*quietly sneaks away*
Hey, I saw that!

As one of the five people who still remembers Crossgen: Use at your own risk. The company was doing its own thing until Disney + Marvel bought them so they could sink the IPs to Kingdom Come and never use them again. They aren't totally compatible out the gate but you could use Ruse and other good eggs out of the Crossgen bunch in DVV roles if you were so inclined.

If I were so inclined, there is always the Atlanteans. In spite of the quasi-canon crossover with Gargoyles, Lost Empire is over at DVV Classic, so there is a vacancy in the middle of the Atlantic.

Of course, it would pretty much require avoidance of the orange eyed crowd, but it is an idea for a totes non canon omake.

As for Ruse... maybe the Commodore counts Simon Archard among his ancestors?

Has anyone made a document or spreadsheet that has all of our Hero Units and their loyalty? I want to check to see if anyone has low loyalty like Hego who has a loyalty of 5.
This is, with the exception of Goofy's entry, a turn out of date, but it should be close enough for most purposes. Most entries have stayed the same, a few have decayed by 1 to 3, and a few others have increased by an unknown but probably significant amount.

Note that while Monogram's loyalty is currently decaying faster than it's growing, it will stay positive unless we incur new loyalty penalties with him.

HeroLoyalty
Goofy55
Major Francis Monogram18
Wile E. Coyote, Genius55
Genghis Khan45
Agent Russ20
Norm Prime40

Janna Ordonia50
Dr. Jumba Jookiba25
Ludivine von Drake20

Tobe and the Vagabond Ninja20
Phineas and Ferb25
Janus Lee???

(This table was pulled from the Plan-Inator, by the by. You can find basically every character trait and stat in it if you poke around the non-user sheets enough.)

Are we going to wait until next turn before seeing our new heroes or have the QM's just not finished statting them yet?

New heroes and loyalty updates usually get added once all the interludes are done.

There's still at least one not updated from last turn. While it's unlikely to change anything mechanically, as it's very unlikely Cleave Together gives 25 loyalty and I'm not even sure loyalty bonuses are rolled on quests, it's something to note.

The Atlantis and Gargoyles crossover are a quiet, non-canon link of sorts. You could even tie Tarzan into that via the Waziri tribe and Opar. Really Gargoyles is in a unique position for it. However, remember our conversation about all of the other Atlantis cities due to the crossovers.

The original Ruse took place in another dimension with the other Crossgen stuff. So not that version if such was the case, but I'm not a fan of veering too hard into canon welding.

Thinking about the short-lived reboot under Disney, actually, which IIRC was pretty much like the original character-wise (unlike the Sigil and Mystic reboots), only set in Great Britain, rather than Generic Victorian Planet.

It was so close to the original because it had a consistent author. Mark Waid did Ruse before and after the transition until they stopped the series altogether.

Hego's loyalty is only five? We allowed this to happen?!
*throws book on the ground*
Unacceptable!
*cocks shotugn*
*someone screams*
