You take your chosen gift and thank Goofy for his consideration. As you leave, you see Wile E. Coyote taking the first gift into his hands. Deft, precise rips see the wrapping discarded to reveal a prototype Peter Pan playset, currently being developed by Disney's marketing divisions for future release. It's a plastic model of the Hangman's Tree, complete with figures for Peter Pan, Captain Hook, Wendy, John, and Michael. It even has a tiny little Tinkerbell, albeit with no articulation. One figure, however, seems to be missing from the set.

And as the city recovers from the attack, I am here now to interview the brave Cartoon who selflessly risked his life to protect innocent civilians. His miraculous survival has seen him hailed as a national hero, raising the profile of Toons everywhere at a time some are calling ripe for their resurgence-

It seems these things are going fast. You barely get around the corner before a small and excited whirlwind resolves itself into Dennis. "Aw, I missed the Duck gift!" He says dejectedly, before Goofy comforts him with the remaining gift. He tears off the wrapping to reveal a top of the line, state of the art personal computer, one of the few not manufactured directly by ENCOM, and lifts it into his arms. It completely covers his physical form, making him little more than a pair of monochrome hands behind the three foot box.
"Alan helped me pick it out!" Goofy explains happily.
"Huh." Dennis says. "Tell him thank you." He moves the computer off to the side and then sets it down. "Well, I better get back to the South Pacific. I have one more interlude to be in!"

You wonder if Goofy has any more gifts lined up. Well, not your concern, you suppose. Curious, you tear open the packaging and find a comic, as you'd expected.
It's the first issue of DARKwing Duck, a proud 'tie-in to the soon to be hit movie' that to your knowledge never existed. You take a second to look it up on FindIt, and confirm that the film was in development when poor Darkwing kicked the bucket. What follows was what Big Ol' Wiki describes euphemistically as 'a brief copyright conflict' that left the producers too afraid to continue.
The comic features the terror that flaps in the night himself, standing on what appears to be a Duckburg office building's stormy rooftop. A flash of lightning colors his dark cloak half purple, half yellow in the glare. It seems it was designed as a grimmer, gritter reboot for a darker age, promising PG-13 action and such-like. The back cover also proclaims 'a new, secret origin story you'll never believe!' which seems interesting. This isn't normally your cup of tea, but it seems interesting enough you might just give it a read.

Aw. Well, either way, a new Darkwing is a great present in its own right. You guys didn't have to do this, but you did. Now, Nega? I have three words. Let's. Get. DANGEROUS. Merry Christmas you filthy animal. Also, I for sure want to invest more in the Grid now. And release Pan. Even if it won't get us that first gift, (and it won't), it'd be nice to start bringing Toons back and get a better foothold in entertainment.
@Made in Heaven @Arathnorn @Argidoll I'd just like to say, thank you. We don't say it often enough around here, but the amount of effort you invest in this quest is truly awe-inspiring. Huh, wonder who this could be. My knee jerk guess is TRON given the current nebulous question mark area of DoofOS grid right now if I'm being honest.
Given that we know the third gift CAN still happen unlike the other two (it'll just take longer), i'm thinking we have a Quest in the near-future...Not next turn though. We have a declaration to look for.
I mean, we just unlocked the digitizer quest and Alan might finally tell us something useful to advance his plotline.
Indeed. As I said, probably not in the TOO near future, we have a declaration to find, and whatever that pugnacious poultry is planning, but, if we get through those, well...
