Thoughts:
  • Firstly, where I agree at least partially or wholly
    • I'm somewhat open to the idea of putting Tobe on active infiltration of Sycorax instead of Mezmerella on inactive or even active infiltration.
    • I'm also somewhat open to the idea of putting Mezmerella as a temporary BO leader while Technor finishes his mech.
  • Second, where I disagree
    • I really think Goofy should check in on Pete's house of villains. Sounds like a good way to get a hero unit and is a brand-new action, plus it really fits our brand.
    • I think Norm should do his hangout with Doof action.
    • I think it's better for Monogram to do Split Second instead of the retreat this turn.
  1. We only have one hero slot left (I counted; the 25/30 thing is a typo). As such, I'd rather Goofy focus on improving himself and save that slot for Fredzilla or something
  2. I can switch if people really think that's a better idea; I was just trying to do more than improve Doof & Norm's relationship
  3. I don't see the necessity of Split/Second, especially when we can do a lot more with the retreat, considering at least three of our hero units are in a funk
But shadow war with the lobby Ninjas!
The ninjas are infiltrating Sycorax. You can't have a war with only one player.
You have an extra slot, may as well get rid of steal nukes, just in case
...Your logic is sound.

[ ] Restore Zootopian Climate Systems
DC 125 (increased by Kitsune)
Special Requirement: Must attempt research of Greco-Roman Terraforming in the same turn.

The massive climate systems that control the various divisions of Zootopia are beginning to break down. They need to be mended, and Bellwether has decided you're the ocelot for the job.
Wanted to check, but is this considered a collab action with Zootopia (I.e. Do we get a bonus from Bellweather?)

-[] National Actions:
--[] [Martial] Form a black ops group (Technor, Juniper (+10 Duet Act), Gomez)

--[] [Diplomacy] Guard against hats: Mandate Company Dress Codes (Cruella)
--[] [Diplomacy] Establish the Titans Wrestling Federation (Kermit)

--[] [Stewardship] Restore Zootopia Climate Systems (Roddy)
--[] [Stewardship] Develop Civilian AI (Alan)
--[] [Monogram] Sponsor SPLIT/SECOND

--[] [Intrigue] Seed corporate sleeper agents (Active Infiltration): Sycorax (Mezmerella)
--[] [Intrigue -> Nemesis Action] Reclaim the Odd Object (Agent Russ)

--[] [Learning] Greco-Roman Terraforming (Lizzy)
--[] [Learning] Research Large Carnivore Domestication (Jumba)

--[] [Occult] Repair the Avatar of Felldrake (Janna)
--[] [Occult] Search for Magical Individuals (Kitsune)

--[] [Corporate Action] Establish a Corporate Court (Funds)
Here are the CoS before Inator

Kermit and Roddy are at 100% do to the King Bonuses (102/108 depending on Winston or Sinatron, 125 exactly from Bellwether) Jumba don't give a shit bout the Inator, his bonus of +132 for genetics is over 20 above the DC so no XP will be needed. If Inator does still lower crit success and raise crit failure by 10 instead of 1 do to changes in crit mechanics, then no XP needed for the first 2, and either way no XP needed for Jumba.

Alan has a 66% Chance without XP, 76% with. Cruella has an 89% Before XP, 99% with (Still has crit fail chance). Russ has a 59 before XP, 69 (nice) after. If neither of her traits apply Mez is a 77% before XP, if it counts as Supervillainy its an 87, if its infosec its an 82%, and if both its a 92% before XP. Worst case Scenario Martial is a 83% Success Chance, best case its guaranteed before XP. Lizzy is a 95% success chance before XP, but is a non-specialist so the XP will just prevent her from getting the -10 if it hits her. Finally for Occult we got 73%/83% for Janna without/with xp, and Kitsune at 62%/72% without/with XP.

Any of these success chances has an 1/11 chance of having its success chance go down by 10.

EDIT:
Er... messed up Roddy, he has a +115 not +125, so a 90% and should get XP

[ ] Sabotage Doomtown Cog Factories
DC 110

Doom's ongoing opposition to us by dint of doing things we don't like has gone on long enough. Shut down the factories putting out his metallic enforcers and watch his machine start to groan. Of course, if we get caught that may be the fuel Doom needs to actively pursue us, and he has a lot of resources he could potentially leverage, especially if we're caught in an act of domestic terrorism.

Council Outlook: 3/4 (Pass)
Coyote: Finally! Let's stick it to 'im. (Pass)
Goofy: There's one fella I don't mind giving a kick in the keister. (Pass)
Janus Lee: Doctor, this is a complete waste of resources and an active provocation of someone we have no practical reason to be in conflict with. (Veto)
Mirage: While I see no reason to further escalate our feud with Doom, I do not trust the man. Every report we've heard on him suggests that at best he is an untrustworthy actor and at worst a potential threat. (Abstain)
Ludivine: No prohblems heah. (Pass)
Malifishmirtz: His name is Doom. Are we sure we shouldn't be friends? (Abstain)

Outcome: Doom will take a -20 malus to Martial and Stewardship actions for at least a turn and until a DC 100 action is undertaken to repair the Factories. Increased success chances for Red Car activities. Doom will become more attentive to sabotage.
Looks like the outcome went from a -10 malus to a -20 malus.

Outcome: Contact established with ENCOM, DC for ENCOM infiltration reduced by 20
DC went from unknown to reduced by 20.

[ ] Research the market
DC 90, 120 for Underworld

DEI's corporate restructuring has uprooted a lot of inefficiencies in the system and brought us around to functionality once again. Unfortunately this means that various acts of crucial market research have long been overlooked, requiring further investigation to understand our rivals' standings and our comparison to them.

Choose one:

-[ ] East Coast
-[ ] West Coast
-[ ] Underworld

Council Outlook: 3/5 (Pass)
Coyote: Know thy enemy! (Pass)
Goofy: Uhhhhh… (Abstain)
Janus Lee: Yes, a likely necessary step if we are to direct our attention efficiently. (Pass)
Mirage: When we have the time, doctor. Certainly before a major expansion of any kind, lest we run headfirst into a monopoly. (Pass)
Ludivine: Back! Back! Keep doze spreadsheets away from me! (Veto)
Malifishmirtz: Just use divination! (Veto)

Outcome: Gain knowledge of all industry factions in the relevant region. Refreshes available companies to purchase.
We should do the Market research actions next turn. Being able to purchase more can help us expand, perhaps that one security company in San Fran? Could also help in conjunction with the infiltration of the Zaibatsu.

[ ] Clear the name of Bonkers Bobcat
DC 140
DC went down by 10

Outcome: Slight income improvement, potential for further growth in [Advanced Robotics]. Major investors are likely anticipating competition from us in this field. We should expect pushback of some sort.

Outcome: Slight income improvement, significant increase to standing in [Advanced Robotics]. Major investors are likely anticipating competition from us in this field. We should expect pushback of some sort.
Outcome clarified to increase our standing in Robotics significantly. I think we should try this ASAP as well.

[ ] Investigate Negaduck's plan
DC 160
Fallback Martial DC 200
Fallback DC included

[ ] Research Dinosaur Weapons Platforms
Outcome: Dinosaurs with weapons developed, +1 funds from limited run action figures, Gomez Opinion increase
Updated to include Gomez

[ ] Sequence crop genomes
DC 110
Outcome: Implement genemod crops corporate option unlocked, investment into [Food & Agriculture] slightly increases. Competitors are likely to react to our further investments in this field very strongly.
Updated to reflect that implementing the genemod crops would be a corporate action, not a stewardship one

[ ] Summon Celena the Shy
DC 100
Outcome: Celena the Shy performs another Mewberty Spread, Unlocked Occult Action to Stabilize Haunting

Stablizing the haunting could be used to unlock Celena as a hero unit like Malf is.

[] Plan: Star Hunt Part Two - v2
Thought of a few changes to the plan. I'll describe them below

--[] Marion Moseby (Keep up with London)
--[] Tobe (Train ''''''your ninja'''''' some more)
--[] Assign an Item
---[] Ruby Wings: Cruella

I have swapped the 2nd occult action from recruiting mages to Summoning Celena the Shy, assigning Tom to the action which frees up Kitsune to do a personal. Also swapped chatting with Russ to a chat with Kitsune.

Reasoning:
  • We do need to figure where Kitsune stands or how we can affect that because the only thing really keeping her here is her interest in Janna. And that interest has been fading over time with her recent issues. And we're sending her away to find other mages... Kitsune might take the opportunity to leave with one the mages she was supposed to recruit. Her marcnificent few trait bonus dropped from +3 to +2!
  • Russ seems stable enough to be able to chat with him next turn. Plus, chatting with him after his next encounter with the Phantom Blot means we can do some proper nemesis gossip after they have a proper nemesis interaction
  • Summoning Celena the Shy. While it's more difficult than recruiting mages, the prophecy can be useful especially with the Dream Queen stuff out there and finding star, also unlocks the potential action to stabilize the ghost which could make her a hero unit, and she has a great occult score based on her card: 5 stars!

--[] [Stewardship -> Monogram] Sponsor SPLIT/SECOND
This is something I don't see as being worth it. Sure, we'll get two additional income (and Funds next turn), but we have a bunch of other personals that would be really nice to have completed. I'd like to have Kermit calling in a friend of his this turn rather than some turn in the future. There's also the fact that if we do it now, our Black Ops heroes will have a free personal.

I'm not sure if Mez would get a free personal, but if she does it'd be the only one from her for a while and getting some extra hypnosis practice in would be a good idea.

If possible I'd also like to get the mutants completed as soon as possible.

I'm of two minds regarding Mirage's personal. We're at least six turns away from finishing it, assuming we don't get a bunch of potions of haste or whatever. That estimate is definitely a low end, I'd guess we're going to take twelve turns to finish it, unless we take Mirage off the Council.

Split Second has more than just the income but also PR and random event roll, plus our councilors really want to do it.

IIRC I asked QM if a hero unit doing active infiltration on the same turn as the retreat would get an extra personal right before they leave, so Mez would.

I think fair on the Mirage thing. If we are really going full force on San Fran, then having her recruit in SFIT could be useful. Winston will be sacrificed.

We can get the PR and income later, fairly easily. It's more difficult to get more personals from the black op heroes and Mez.

I'm not sure if it still has the RER for that matter. It's not in the benefits. Guess it could be a typo.
Outcome: SPLIT/SECOND show established, +2 income, moderate public opinion increase

We've been putting off clearing Bonkers' name for a comically long time already, and this turn, we FINALLY have enough Stewardship actions to do it.

Additionally, since the option is still available, I suspect that the interlude showing that the Devil accepted the case is indicating that this is the very last chance for us to do it. The optics of the Devil clearing Bonkers' name are pretty bad, and I'd like to actually make some headway against Doom instead of letting the entire Bonkers quest and Russ's dissapearance be for nothing.

Can we please get it over with already instead of finding another excuse to procrastinate?

Err...

Poor Malf, less than a few years and we're already moving on to the next magical ghost adviser

Honestly I think Malf is my favorite council advisor.

I like all of it but putting Mez on active infiltration (which can't be helped I guess) and this. Tobe's not doing a nation action in your plan LET ME HAVE MY LOBBY WAR!

London Tipton is the heiress to some serious big bucks and a major hotel chain. Checking up on her might very well lead to some profitable business opportunities for us.

Who do you propose we put on that action? The DC is still pretty high, even with the -10
Moseby. The company retreat is a low enough DC that it seems wasteful to put him on it, and he's good at dealing with comical shenanigans, which is going to be valuable in a courtroom that's probably going to have a lot of Toons involved. He's also above average at Intrigue, which is probably a good idea when dealing with a courtroom that Doom controls.

If I did my math right, he gets a +83 to the roll with XP, which means we succeed on a 57 or better. Not perfect, but it's looking like we're in the position where it's that or give up completely, and excessive risk avoidance has been kind of shooting us in the foot at times. I also think it's likely that a failure is going to just mean the court case drags on and the option stays open.

Id rather wait til next turn, mostly since Coyote might lower the DC through his personal this turn.

Another reason to do the retreat; it lets Lizzy do Greco-Roman Terraforming and a personal that lowers that DC simultaneously. Plus, doing Talk with the Bossman along with Kitsune's Find Someone to Talk To might give us some better results
