So we should probably set up the internal security group and search for moles while we can. I don't see these opportunities returning anytime soon.

] Work with Janus on ???
Inexplicably, human Janus has proven insightful and personable! This has never happened before! Perhaps humanity is not mere country bumpkin race. Some of these ideas he is having could be collaborated into major project..

[ ] Work on ??? with Jumba
It's a little hard to believe that you've made a friend in your alien coworker, and he's even better at genetics than you are! Maybe it's time to bring that up...
I don't see any way this could go horribly wrong

We can only do one, Wile E's locked into one of our intrigue actions this turn.

I *Really* want to Sell Corp shares for that *Huge* Income boost.

To offset other Kings getting the option to Hostile Takeover us, maybe Restructure Company Structure as well?

[ ] Train ''''''your ninja'''''' some more
Yep, just training the Vagabond Ninja. No other ninja at all. You're definitely not training anyone else secretly because if the boss finds out their heads could explode. Nope.

[ ] Talk to Trevor
Trevor seemed really upset the last time you talked. Maybe if you spoke with him again, you could get through to him on something?

Some very interesting personals this time.

Look... I know these are probably a bad idea.

But I really want to do them anyway.

😈

Do not to the Janus one, his project is bad. Very bad.
Judging solely by the text colors, whatever is going on with Trevor is even worse.

Anyways, those sound interesting, but I really think we should let TECHNOR, THE MECHANICAL MAN work on his robot body. His therapist skills have been incredibly helpful, but we should really give him some personal time, you know? Let him indulge himself a little.

For context, for those who don't know anything about A.T.O.M., Janus Lee is a transhumanist. He wants to create an uplift where people can genetically improve themselves into a superior species, better capacity for thinking, learning, physical improvements, the works. His plan was that it would be voluntary, but because the uplift would be so much better than being a normal human it'd eventually lead to humanity's replacement with its created superior. He then tested it on himself. As it turns out, he screwed the pooch somewhere and turned into a crazy person. Also a lizard, but that was already in the design so it doesn't really count. Jumba being added onto the project would be something. At the very least, he's a better geneticist than Lee ever was or will be, so mistakes aren't as likely. In theory.

Send him on the Quest. He's a robot, hypnosis probably won't work.

What's wrong with training the Dakota army?

It says the bosses won't like it.

Admittedly it's nowhere near as risky as the other ones.

Do not to the Janus one, his project is bad. Very bad.

I recall it being discussed that it was transforming people into reptiles or something?

It does bring up a question.

Are these trap options?

I don't think for a second that we would be given choices that only hurt us so there must be a benefit to doing them.

Maybe they are more risky options but there must be something to them and reasons for us to pick them otherwise they will just sit there forever.

Hmm… I wonder if it would be worth losing a turn of Maximum Technor to apply his vast processing power to A Platter of Sweetmeats. Bump Malifishmertz from the comparatively disappointing "Respectable Sorcerer" to "Centuries Old Master". Or all the way to the big leagues if we're willing to risk letting Feldrake near him.

[ ] Attempt a hostile corporate takeover
DC varies depending on the corporation. Olympia Corp DC 310, DrakkTech DC 325, Xanatos Enterprises DC ???, Khan Industries DC 300, Glomgold Enterprises 425, Sycorax DC 200, Funtelligence DC 270, Gen-U-Tech DC 200, Bakaemono Corporation DC 200, Cloverleaf Industries DC 300)

The other corporations aren't coming to the table? No problem! Do things the underhanded way and gain control of them for yourself! While this is technically legal it's not likely to make you many friends in the business world. Also, some of the owners of these companies are criminally insane, and managing to cheat them out of their whole company might have consequences.

(Reward: Varies, Weakens controller of relevant corp, possible new research or technology options obtained)

[ ] Buy out a rival corporation
DC varies

There are some corporations that aren't rich enough to ignore you and lack the legal chops to fight a takeover, so you can just cut straight to the point and buy them out. Perfectly legal and on the level, and it won't even make you enemies aside from whatever fanboys are upset that you now own their favorite brand. Descriptions provided for companies as needed.

Beware that rival conglomerates will also have the chance to pounce on opportunities you don't.

Choose One:

-[ ] Hopper Food Group - Fast food conglomerate with multiple smaller restaurants under their North American banner. Cost: 8 Income

Yearly Income: +3
DC 95

-[ ] WyndComm Enterprises - Civilian aeronautics company that constructs and launches satellites for commercial use. Has worked on contracts with government and private space programs in years prior. It might be a good way to jump-start any plans you might have. Cost: 5 Income

Yearly Income: +1

DC 80

I am sorry, but shouldn´t Minversal be somewhere in this list since they just went bankrupt? Or did SK already gobble them up?

@Made in Heaven does Doof are only one who can speak with Princess CJ for her further development?
Would something like this work as Mirage personal ?
[] Speak with Princess CJ about finer points of corporation and Kingdom management.

For those of you who skimmed, Janus Lee did not turn himself into a crazy lizard man in DoofQuest. It's just something that could theoretically occur since it happened in the show. He also toyed around with replacing key politicans and heads of industry with New Man but never got around to it either.

Anyway, good luck to the plan makers this turn. Looks like there are a lot of interesting things to pick from. And a quest it seems.

My highest priority this turn is doing Decode Transmissions. Only 110 dc, and first contact with a King.

Honestly, we should probably introduce her to Xanatos first thing after meeting her.

Well, specifically, it should be Decode, meet up via Wendy or maybe Norm or Technor, then introduce Drossel to Xanatos, and maybe the government. They are still technically the sovereign power of the nation, and are the main AI research faction since Trevor's a fraud and ENCOM is more interested in production and control than understanding, though I'm kind of wondering how they might change things if they had proper access to the research we're doing? Morbid curiosity really.

Also, Omake fodder, what if Omake where Janna's Demon Summoning summons Charlie from Hazbin Hotel from Earth Hell. Pretty sure the Devil interlude in response to Janna grabbing the Necronomicon means that would definitely not be how it works even if non-Disney properties were eligible, but the idea of summoning the Princess of Earth Hell as a counterpart to the Prince of Mewman Hell is pleasing to my sense of balance and seems like an interesting contrast. I'd do it myself, but I'm writing this on my phone.

"Huh, maaaaybe? That sounds like, at least six months of work. But I could do!"
Now we know what the time sink for a less than 50 positive(?) inator. Good to know.

Vanessa Learning roll: Get into a Good College
Yay.

"What made you decide you wanted to study psychology?"

She looks at you for a moment.
Rejoining the government will be a lot easier in about 36 turns.

We need Heinz's sane stewardship skill so we can get some of this extra PA goodness.

[X] Investigate the theft of the Declaration of Independence
Drat.

-[] With CJ?

[ ] Work with Janus on ???
Let the man do his reverse lizardmen conspiracy. So long as he understands he can't escape this corporate hellscape we'll be fine.

No, I don't think so. It's the height of bad questing to put trap options, and we are not led by a bad QM.

I think it's a case of these options coming with some obvious and severe consequences should we fail (or lack preparation in Wendy's case). But the benefits are a mystery box right now.
