Those stats...
Yikes.
Yikes.
Just because other people crit fail around him it doesn't make Goob great at Intrigue. You think Goob Intrigue would be better because he did fool a few people.
I don't think that's a good description of Goob. Or if it is, we could say the same of several other 'kings.'I ant to wait until Doof is active again to interrogate Goob, that way he could take a good hard look at what is essentially a version of him without any of the skills to fall back on and realize how he could have turned out.
No it's rather accurate to compare him to Doof. They're both petty and delusional bumblers who refuse to acknowledge their own personal faults and failings. Both allow the negatives of their past to heavily influence their present and future even to their own detriment and don't seem to realize the effect they have on others.I don't think that's a good description of Goob. This would only make Doom worse.Goob-inator: Choose a target king to turn them into the Goob version of themselves.
Eh…It would at least reduce his competence.
You have gained a basic understanding that the hat craze in the southeast hides a sinister mind-controlling secret! You're not quite sure as to the extent of it, or who's behind it, but you're going to feel a lot more suspicious of headwear from now on.
'Interrogate Michael Yagoobian' action unlocked!
Martial: 2 (Goob is malnourished and never got in a serious scrap in his life.)
Diplomacy: -7 (Goob is deeply, exceedingly unpleasant to be around.)
Stewardship: 0 (Goob flunked out of the third grade.)
Intrigue: 4 (Goob, technically, has a general idea of how to sneak around and stuff.)
Learning: 1 (Goob is mostly illiterate.)
Goob did not become a hero unit! (Thank god.)
well we knew it would be bad down there, but god damn.
Hat have gone to work, yet another thing that probably should be dealt with before it gets to big.... how many is that now?
We need to tell all of our allies about this and potentially make some new ones. As always there's way too many fires in the world.
Incidentally, I vote that we hire Goob as a hero unit. Then, whenever we run across someone that we find irritating, we send Goob to follow them.
Lizzy had -1 diplomacy when we first got her. and Dennis had - intrigue, but both manuvered out of it (with utterly absurd luck in dennis's case)He is *worse* than Dennis the Duck, our memetically "sucky" Operative - heck, he´s got a *negative* stat, which no one else has.
I thought Lizzy had positive diplomacy, it was just single digit?Lizzy had -1 diplomacy when we first got her. and Dennis had - intrigue, but both manuvered out of it (with utterly absurd luck in dennis's case)

Sure, but i'm just pointing out that negative stats aren't "once in a blue moon, this almost never happens" rare, they're just uncommon.
Well thank fuck that didn't happen.Random thought, failing this investigation or worse Crit Failing it would have basically resulted in the Hats getting a high level hero unit.
Oh I 100% agree with you, but as such we need to keep in mind that whenever dealing with the Hats that we will need to have contingencies in place to make sure our people aren't mind controlled.
if i learned anything from super mario odyssey it's that the awnser to mind controlling hats is to be alreaddy wearing a normal hat of your ownOh I 100% agree with you, but as such we need to keep in mind that whenever dealing with the Hats that we will need to have contingencies in place to make sure our people aren't mind controlled.
I think mind control would be reserved for a crit fail, a regular fail, she'd just fail to get anything useful.Random thought, failing this investigation or worse Crit Failing it would have basically resulted in the Hats getting a high level hero unit.
