We need to tell all of our allies about this and potentially make some new ones. As always there's way too many fires in the world.

Using hats for evil! The fiends! We must put a stop to this!

Incidentally, I vote that we hire Goob as a hero unit. Then, whenever we run across someone that we find irritating, we send Goob to follow them.

I ant to wait until Doof is active again to interrogate Goob, that way he could take a good hard look at what is essentially a version of him without any of the skills to fall back on and realize how he could have turned out.

I don't think that's a good description of Goob. Or if it is, we could say the same of several other 'kings.'

Goob is what Xanatos would be without his cunning, resourcefulness, charisma, and general not-being-an-idiot-ism.

Goob is what Shego would be without her superpowers, wits, ruthlessness, and general not-being-an-idiot-ism.

And so it goes.

It turns out that if you take away every useful talent someone possesses, you get a rather helpless sad sack of a person.

No it's rather accurate to compare him to Doof. They're both petty and delusional bumblers who refuse to acknowledge their own personal faults and failings. Both allow the negatives of their past to heavily influence their present and future even to their own detriment and don't seem to realize the effect they have on others.

Doof just found something he was good at and allowed himself to open up to people, Goob literally shut himself in and hid away from the world. Goob is very much like the worst version of Doof, all of his problems with none of the progress or help. If Doof didn't have Perry or the family he created for himself he very much could have turned out much like Goob. The same can't be said for Xanatos or Shego.

The Goob-version of Xanatos would probably not be so hyper focused on the past and instead focused on the future: future plots and schemes. Except his schemes wouldn't be contained to his one object of revenge like Doof/Goob. "Goobtos" would be creating enemies left and right and would probably be somehow worse off than Goob.

Goob-inator: Choose a target king to turn them into the Goob version of themselves.

You have gained a basic understanding that the hat craze in the southeast hides a sinister mind-controlling secret! You're not quite sure as to the extent of it, or who's behind it, but you're going to feel a lot more suspicious of headwear from now on.

'Interrogate Michael Yagoobian' action unlocked!

Martial: 2 (Goob is malnourished and never got in a serious scrap in his life.)
Diplomacy: -7 (Goob is deeply, exceedingly unpleasant to be around.)
Stewardship: 0 (Goob flunked out of the third grade.)
Intrigue: 4 (Goob, technically, has a general idea of how to sneak around and stuff.)
Learning: 1 (Goob is mostly illiterate.)
Goob did not become a hero unit! (Thank god.)

well we knew it would be bad down there, but god damn.

Hat have gone to work, yet another thing that probably should be dealt with before it gets to big.... how many is that now?

Yeah, we *definitely* need to warn both Shego and David, since iirc the "turfs" of both of them are bordering Dor-15 and her hellscape of a "domain".

Sure, I expect David to already know or at least suspect what´s going on, but just like with us "warning him" of Toffee when he already knew it would have the benefit of showing him/them that we are in on another big threat by ourselves already - more credibility for us and maybe a way to finally get that Alliance idea going on.

As for Interrogating Goob, we´ll just have to see the particulars of the Action to decide how to tackle it and if we have to wait until its completition before it would be time to tell Shego and David.

Wow, Goob really sucks XD

He is *worse* than Dennis the Duck, our memetically "sucky" Operative - heck, he´s got a *negative* stat, which no one else has.

I do want to point out, that the Drakktech/Encom Collab was raised for the second time in this quest. It might be important.

Well, this was pretty interesting but I can't help but wonder what it would have been like if we had rolled just one higher and got a regualr success instead of a bare one.

This website needs a "pure evil" reaction

Random thought, failing this investigation or worse Crit Failing it would have basically resulted in the Hats getting a high level hero unit.

We wanted a security upgrade anyways, and doof is paranoid/has a tragic backstory for about everything.

....now I wanna see Fredzilla and Doof bond over stories, fictional and real ones both.
