As a light fog rolls into the outskirts of the staff's sanctum, you see the hulls of war-torn viking longships that had been dashed against the cliffs in centuries past. The relics of some forgotten naval battle that could have happened before or after Felldrake set up shop. An archeologist might have made a fuss about the out-of-place siege weapons and strange mechanisms that poured out of the shipwrecks, but a layman, and you, would be more concerned with the fact that the boats were beached 200 feet above the fjord's waterline and scattered against the sides.

Odd. You cannot recall the Valkyries using ships.

"Genuine air vikings! Don't get much more weird or magic than that!" Feldrake declares happily, in a tone that implies he would be marching forward if he had legs.
ah, so thats where the boat tags come from! :V
on a more serious note, could they grab one on the way home?

Isn't it canon that she can do it so fast because she watched so much FMA?
I don't know about that, but they very deliberately set her up as an artist, so they could explain her proficiency in quickly drawing things.
I hope I don't get big spoiled on Owl House anytime soon here. I'm not finished with season 1. >.>
Oh, uh... How far are you? That Luz likes drawing manga-style art shouldn't be a surprise, though.

Given that the show takes place in a entirely different dimension, I think it an be included without affecting anything major. Obviously until the show is over we probably won't be seeing the Boiling Isles.

Well, this does seem like a group that will be fun to see interact and it's great to have more from Kitsune's POV.

"Guys, I dunno what it is but… it just feels like Donald was here. I think we're on the right track." Dennis says.

"Uh-huh." Janna replies.

Dennis trips over a rock and falls into a very distinct duck-shaped hole in the ground. Hat and all.

"I knew it! We're clothe!" Dennis' muffled speech issues from the hole as he chews and then spits a clump of dirt out of his mouth. "I can almotht tathe it!"

Also nice to have proper confirmation that Donald was here... will Dennis pass it on as a free action or would we need to use a Personal next turn for him to update Della and co?

One wonders, why not just carry a compass? The geometer's kind of compass, that is. Two quick strategically aligned tugs on the paper and BAM, instant perfect circle.
Limits the size you can make. Hard to get a compass big enough to turn an entire wall into a sigil.

Of course the real Big Brain move is to carry a holo-projector and make sigils out of light rather than ink. I'm sure someone on staff could throw one together.

That sounds like a job for Wasabi, might even get him an Occult score.

So, Miragequest won.

sigh

This is gonna suck so bad.

In other news, Felldrake Temple!

Kitsune is a really interesting character to read, and I'm sad that we don't see more of her POV in this. So, the fact that we get to do so now is awesome!

Janna improving on her magical abilities even without the use of Felldrake! Heck yeah!

Question: what are Air Vikings?

Presumably, Air Vikings are to ordinary vikings as Air Pirates are to ordinary pirates.

We've seen air pirates such as the infamous Don Karnage, so it stands to reason (for certain values of "reason" involving flying longboats being a thing somehow) that there would also be air vikings.

Stats mostly I think. Mirage loses out on a lot of martial and learning, meanwhile the stats she had over the Doctor weren't quite as big as a difference as you'd expect.
The main benefit of Mirage is that she isn't a self-deluding moron, she'll give us a much better idea on how the world of DoofQuest works. I cannot put into words how valuable peeling back the curtains of Doof's delusions would be.
