Would putting juniper in a heroball mean she can add some of her teammate's dance skills to the dc reduction?

Not sure if it would work but Malf + Juniper could be a great occult duo.

Malf is hindered by the fact "his own choices lead to his undoing." Juniper acting as a retainer might mitigate that.

The same could be said for malf+felldrake as well: Felldrake has tons of experience being an evil wizard and can set malf on the right path

Since Juniper should have some Martial that could be helpful for Malf. She's not an amazing unit Stat-wise, but she should have a lot of growth potential.

Can Malf hold Felldrake?

He's more evil and more Occult than Janna. Absolutely.

Problem? He's one of our most evil and most Occulty units. Once we give him Felldrake, there's no going back.

I feel Janna should continue holding onto Felldrake at least until she is able to cast spells without him. Even once that time comes, though, I feel we should be very careful in deciding whether or not to let our Grunkle hold onto Felldrake, because they will not want to let each other go.

Doof's Bizarre Adventure Monster Mash Arc (Part 2)
Doof's Bizarre Adventure
Monster Mash Arc (Part 2)

Narrator Voice:
Der Kinderlumper, a hideous monster of Drusselsteinian folklore with two very different and conflicting tales. In one version of the myth Der Kinderlumper is a kind and loving creature that gives gifts to children, however this was not the version Heinz Doofenshmirtz was told as a child. The version he is familiar with is of a supernatural troll who comes for any child he deems bad, as well as an extremely strict criteria by which he judges children.

"Der Kinderlumper!" Heinz thought to himself as the creature finished forming. "His Stand transformed into Der Kinderlumper, but how? This must be his Stand's ability."

"I see, a childhood tale then? How predictable," Kalabar says as the creature scrapes against the ceiling of the large office with its head. "Now Dr. Doofenshmirtz, you'll feel the wrath of my「Monster Mash」!"

With that the enemy Stand rush forward, swinging its cane downward at Heinz, who quickly recalled his stand to block. However「Monster Mash」 was much stronger than before, and he was forced to dodge out of the way and recall his Stand before he was crushed. The cane crashed into his desk, splintering and destroying it completely.

"That's right Doctor, panic!" Kalabar yells out as his Stand stretched out the end of his cane and bats shot out, a copy of one of Der Kinderlumper's abilities in the legend. "Your fear only makes「Monster Mash」 stronger!"

"I was right! His stand is based on fear, it empowers it." Doof thought to himself as his stand began to knock away the bats and charged in to strike at Der Kinderlumper. "I need to find a way to catch myself, calm down, there's no way I can beat this thing when I'm afraid!"

「Daft Punk」 striked at「Monster Mash」, but the speedy green half didn't seem to be able to strike with enough force to deal much damage.「Monster Mash」 followed up with another swing of its cane that「Daft Punk」 dodged out of the way of before Doof had an idea.「Daft Punk」 once more charged forward, dodging around the Stand's guard and preparing for a strike to the Stand's head.

"A desperate play from a desperate man, these humans never learn do they?" Kalbar thought to himself before there was a flash, and「Daft Punk」 turned purple. "What?"

The purple Stand struck like a cannon, and both Kalabar and「Monster Mash」 were knocked away by the blow, blood oozed from Kalabar's mouth and he spat out a tooth before wiping his mouth.

"A transforming Stand then?" His grin somehow got even wider. "So this will be interesting after all."

With that the fight resumed, while the Purple「Daft Punk」 was strong enough to break though「Monster Mash」's defenses it was to slow to be able to effectively dodge, all the while Dr. Doofenshmirtz was doing everything he could to calm his emotions despite his childhood nightmare standing before him. He was forced to switch between the two of them regularly to avoid taking too many blows while still being able to fight back.

"This is going nowhere fast." Kalabar thought to himself. "I can feel「Monster Mash」 growing weaker, he has a better lid on his emotions that I thought. Time to stop playing around then."

「Monster Mash」 knocked the green「Daft Punk」 aside, reaching out a long arm to hold it in place before it readied its cane to strike at its real target, the user.

"It's done Doctor, give up and take the deal."Kalabar told the man. "Or I'll strike you down with your own nightmares here and now."

"Over? We've hardly just begun!" Doof says with a grin and far too much confidence for someone in his position. "And since you've been so kind as to show me what your Stand does... I might as well return the favor!"

Kalabar couldn't respond before he felt a large surge of pain shoot though his back, looking to see the purple「Daft Punk」 struck while his guard was down, hitting his Stand directly in the back.

"But how? I swore I had his Stand held down..." Kalabar thought as he began to fall to his knees, then he spots the green「Daft Punk」 slip out of his Stand's grip. "I did! But... that means his Stand doesn't transform... his stand's ability is..."

"There's two of them?" He choked out as he began to recover. "I've been fighting two Stands this entire time!"

"That's right Kalabar, allow me to introduce the greatest power duo to ever exist!" Doof stands straight and gestures out with his hands as his Stands manifest to either side of him. "My Stand...「Daft Punk」!"

Kalabar struggled to his feet and prepared to attack when he noticed something horrible...

"「Monster Mash」 is too weak to fight back, his fear has been replaced with confidence!" He thought as he began to panic himself. "I need to get away, find someone else to feed off of or I won't stand a chance!"

As he began to try and form a plan both instances of「Daft Punk」 rushed forward, the green one grabbed the gundersack and wrapped it around「Monster Mash」's eyes while the purple one smashed its cane in two. When 'Der Kinderlumper' fell to the ground both of them unleashed a volley of attacks that send it flying upwards, through the ceiling and towards the roof along with its user.

Janna looked out on the expense of Danville, taking in the sights for what she is afraid would be the last time.

"He's probably going to take the deal, why wouldn't he?" She thought to herself as she fell deeper and deeper into her own spiral of anxiety. "And I thought I might have been safe."

Before she could think any more on it something crashed through the roof near where she was, after ducking down to avoid any rubble she cautiously looked out to see what it was...

Only to be met with a giant pumpkin flying directly at her! She ducked and swung at it with Feldrake when the damn thing turned and lept at her again, as it smashed into several different pieces the fire it contained began to move on its own.

"Tell me little girl..." Came a voice from somewhere behind her, she turned to see Kalabar, heavily injured and bleeding but still smiling. "What do you fear?"

Doofenshmirtz rushed to the roof the moment he heard the scream, only to find「Monster Mash」 in the middle of a second transformation, becoming a much smaller form than Der Kinderlumper, eventually forming into a familiar suit wearing lizard with a positively murderous look in his eyes.

"Now isn't that interesting..." Kalabar said as the transformation finished. "Who exactly are you? And how do you know my boss?"

As Kalabar observed Janna both instances of「Daft Punk」 charged forward only to be stopped in their tracks by the newly empowered「Monster Mash」, it easily knocked them both aside, causing Doof to let out a blood filled cough as they crashed into a pile of rubble.

"Now this is something special ! I haven't felt fear like this in a long time, I dare say I don't think「Monster Mash」 has ever been this powerful!" Kalabar said as he turned from the seemingly catatonic Janna. "As for you Doctor... you've proven to be more trouble than you're worth, Lord Toffee will understand..."

"Janna!" Doof thought, unable to speak from the pain. "I need to get her away from him, but how?"

He looked around, thinking about what could be done until he had an idea.

"I don't know if this will work..." He thought as he began to move his Stands into position. "But I don't have any other options."

The Stand wearing Toffee's face stepped down on Doof's belly, forcing him to the ground as he prepared another attack.

"DIE DOOFENSHMIRTZ!" Just as the attack was about to happen Kalabar himself was knocked aside by a heavily damaged purple as the green one rushed over to Janna." IT DOSEN'T MATTER, YOUR STANDS ARE TOO WEAK TO STOP ME! YOU'RE STILL GOING TO DIE!"

"Is that so?" Doof says with a grin...

Then vanishes in a flash of light, replaced by the green「Daft Punk」 who dodged out of the way of the attack.

"WHAT?" Kalabar turned to see Dr. D had somehow swapped places with his stand. "NOT JUST EACH OTHER, BUT THE USER AS WELL?"

Before his Stand to rush over he was blocked by both instances of「Daft Punk」, who stood in defencive positions to stop its approach.

"It doesn't matter." Kalabar thought to himself. "With that girl's fear「Monster Mash」 is more than a match for his half dead Stands, I can still win th- wh- what?"

As he watched on he could see his Stand grow weaker and weaker at a rapid rate.

"How is this possible?" Kalabar screamed. "She should still be terrified!"

Kalabar looked behind himself to see Dr. Doofenshmirtz holding Janna close, assuring her that everything is ok and he isn't going to take the deal. She's still crying, but calming down, beginning to ignore Kalabar and his Stand altogether!

"Damn it, she was terrified just a second ago!" Kalabar thought to himself, time seeming to stand still as he realized what happened. "Doofenshmirtz used his Stand to get to the girl and swapped places, now he's comforting her like a father when his kid had a nightmare!"

Before he could act he felt pain as his Stand was attacked and knocked to his feet, a broken and bleeding form resembling Toffee burned itself into his eyes.

"I think that's enough tricks Mr. Kalabar." The purple Stand told him as they approached. "You've caused enough trouble for today."

"That's right, we've had enough of your ugly face." The green one said as the got ready to attack. "And tell your boss this for us..."

They began to attack him, breaking near every bone in his body and sending him flying away from DEI headquarters to the streets below.

"NO DEAL!"

Doof simply watched the falling form of Kalabar with a smile, then went beck to comforting Janna.

"And stay out!"

Thankfully, you chose not to fling your proto-AI into a digital warzone.

Probably a good choice, that.
Following basic game theory,

Crit Succeed CybersecurityCrit Fail Cybersecurity
CJ Rolls WellIf this happened, it would be outrageous for the opposition to win. It also isn't likely. Enemy action may be focused on CJ.
CJ Rolls BadlySomething bad could have happened with CJ. This is an outrageously bad outcome.
On one hand, I am kinda curious on what might have happened if that personal action had like a natural 100, but on the other hand, we probably would have rolled what we did with Shego... which was a 52... yeah, that probably wouldn't have been a good outcome.

The Count’s Been Off
The Count's Been Off

It was as Terry opened the T cabinet in the 13th century A.D. section of the records that they thought that maybe the Jerries had been right. Maybe they had just got high on the thrill of catching Joe Gardner and putting a stop to his attempts to cheat the system.

After all, Terry noticed that the count was off again nearly two years ago and yet they had found nothing. Normally they would have stopped when it turned out they every single individual, human, animal, or miscellaneous that had died in the last century was still accounted for, but they were right last time so they thought they had to be right this time. So they kept looking.

By the time they reached the file they were looking for they had almost talked themselves into giving up, they even almost passed the file by but, even as distracted as they were, Terry was a professional and with only the slightest of delays the file was in their grasp, an achievement that they celebrated with the appropriate restraint.

"HA! I told them so! I am the greatest!"

XXX

Terry made their way to the Great Before, mostly so they could take joy in the fact that they were right. Again.

They accosted the first Jerry they saw and exclaimed, "Guess what! I figured out why the count was off! Again!"

The Jerry looked at them and replied, "The count was off?"

"Yes! I came here and told you about it two years ago! Remember?"

"Two years ago? You really need to take better care of yourself Terry. All this stress can't be good for you."

"Never mind that. What matters is that I did it! I found the missing soul and now I'm going to go get him back."

"But how did they get out in the first place. The security measures we put in place after Joe Gardner should have stopped this."

"Doesn't matter," Terry grimaced, they couldn't help but take that as an attack on them considering they were the one who recommended those security measures. It didn't help that they couldn't blame it on the Jerries this time. The cheating soul had been in the Great Beyond for quite a while before they suddenly wound up back on Earth. "Anyway, I'm going down there to clean up this mess. Again."

"Well then. Good luck. Make sure you're not seen."

"Pft. Don't worry about it," Terry said as they opened their portal to Earth. After all, they caught Joe Gardner easily enough, they would certainly be able to handle this Temujin fellow.

Your omake was so amazing, it inspired me to design stands for our hero units. I only could make some, but I hope that other people could build off of what I created.
DoofQuest JOJO Stands
Off the top of my head for Tom, Ring of Fire by Johnny Cash.

For Malf, I will Survive by Gloria Gaynor. Because irony.

For Hego, either Holding out for a Hero by Bonnie Tyler, or Short Change Hero by The Heavy.

Been trying to come up with ideas for Heroballs, here's what I got. They're all gonna be four people because that's the one sure-fire way we know how to make them, and I've got no clue if Marcnificent Few will schlorp themselves up into one unit once Star is found or not. I'd guess probably not, just because Tom has prior commitments. Feel free to disregard, this is just me spitballing.

Build 1: "Chrono Trigger Featuring Lizzy" [Temujin+Malifishmertz+Kitsune+Lizzy]
-Martial: Has Temujin. That's all that needs to be said.
-Diplomacy: Kitsune contributes, but definitely not this Unit's strong suit.
-Stewardship: Probably close to Diplo
-Intrigue: Surprisingly strong. Khan, Lizzy, and Malf all have an 18, while Kitsune has a 20.
-Learning: Lizzy carries, so they should at least be decent, but not super strong.
-Occult: You've got Kitsune and Malf who bring some serious Occult mojo, and Khan contributes a bit.

Basically, built around 3 of our Hero Units are from different time periods and have experienced history differently. You've got Khan, who was literally dead and has to learn about everything from scratch. You've got Malf, who was stuck in a castle for the last several hundred years and thus doesn't really get technology or most things about the modern day very well. And then you've got Kitsune, who's poised to offer a unique perspective on those things by dint of having watched them grow and develop over the last several hundred years. And Lizzy is just Kitsune's +1, because we need a group of 4. I don't see any obvious personality problems, at least. A group we can use for Assaulting Rivals or other things in that vein, given their high Martial, Occult, fairly good Intrigue, and neutral-to-villainous natures.

Build 2: "Punching Villains Every Day" [Hego+Norm+Dennis+"Fourth Member"]
-Martial: Super Brick+Weaponry+Kung Fool = Opponents beaten black and blue.
-Diplomacy: Not with Norm+Dennis.
-Stewardship: Hego tries, but norm and Dennis are Norm and Dennis
-Intrigue: Hah! No.
-Learning: Still nothing good
-Occult: Zilch

Basically, put together a group who's really good at punching villains in the face. Hego shouldn't have any problems with Dennis, given his kind and chipper nature, and should hopefully empathize with Norm "All I ever wanted is validation from my father figure" Prime. Likewise, Dennis' reluctance to cause permanent harm should gel well with Hego's superheroics, and while Norm might technically be evil right now, he's not married to the ideology like other villains on our payroll are. The goal here is to create a group that can respond to Supervillain stuff like the whole Stanley vs Lizzy thing that happened a while back. That way, Hego gets to feel like he's actually doing things. Ideally, the fourth member would be another martial-heavy character from Recruit Heroic Capes. Our DEI Hero Team.

Build 3: "Find that Blot... and put a stop to it!" [Russ+Monogram+Tobe+Wile]
-Martial: Decent
-Diplo: Middling-to-decent
-Stewardship: Decent
-Intrigue: Pretty good, I'd say
-Learning: Decent
-Occult: Technically not zero

At first I didn't know what to do with Russ, but then I remembered that OWCA is technically a government organization. So I figured I'd throw him and Monogram together. And then I put our two Hero Units who have Nemesis traits in there as well, in the hopes of them synergizing with Russ' incoming conflict with the Phantom Blot. Also, Tobe's ninja goons can help bolster OWCA's ranks of animal mooks and Wile's Toon Force synergizes well with Russ' ability to use the Toon Force to his advantage. Intrigue team up to focus on combating the Phantom Blot.

Build 4: "If you want to be a villain number one..." [TECHN0R+Juniper+LOVEMUFFIN+Gomez] *Yes I know we haven't recruited Gomez yet
-Martial: Decent. Juniper's powers are cunterbalanced by LOVEMUFFIN's uselessness here, and Gomez doesn't seem like much of a fighter while TECHNOR can kind of hold his own thanks to goons and a metal body.
-Diplomacy: Low-to-decent.
-Stewardship: Low-to-decent.
-Intrigue: Probably low. Just not really sneaky types.
-Learning: Probably at least decent, given LOVEMUFFIN actually somewhat pull their weight here.
-Occult: With Juniper's dance magic and Gomez's experience, they should be respectable here.

TECHNOR and Juniper have already shown that they can work well together. Juniper can connect with LOVEMUFFIN through a shared love of music and dance numbers, Gomez can connect with LOVEMUFFIN through a shared interest in mad science, and TECHNOR can connect with them through shared megalomania. Also, TECHNOR can help curb the worst of LOVEMUFFIN's egos and other issues when they flare up. The goal here is to try and raise the totals used for LOVEMUFFIN's extra action. A supervillainy and research group.

I dunno, just figured I'd throw some stuff out there. Not sure if I support forming Heroballs, given some units have unique traits/personals that I'd rather they not lose, but at the same time some higher scores to hit DCs would be nice.

Anyway, in the spirit of speculation, here's something else: If we made Malf a Robo-Doppelganger body, do you think he could possess/bind himself to it, thus negating his Spellbound trait and allowing him to move freely? Because while Occult 18 on Nationals is decent, Occult 38 on Quests is amazing. And given how Quests function as character development tools, that'd probably lead to his Sweetmeats Trait eventually being mitigated/removed, if he's able to adventure with a group of people and learn the True Meaning of Friendship.

Maybe try a human puppet. Magic runs on metaphor, yes, but it also runs on knowledge when you aren't doing stuff on the level of Wish granting. Malf... would frankly suck at working his magic like that.

Fan stands are a fun pasttime for me. If I had to do some theorycrafting...
