In conclusion, Fred is another human who channels the Toon Force, if unknowingly. It's a perfectly valid Crack Theory, in actuality... He was right because it was funny.

"Riiiiiight, right, I gotcha. You're undercover. Probably pretending to work for a villain while slowly turning them to the side of good in a dramatic twist-reveal."

No, he is working for a villain and Doof is Evil4Life. Unless it's between Vanessa and Evil, in which case Evil takes a hike. Besides, trying to subvert Doof isn't particularly dramatic or reveal worthy. Plus good is bad while bad is good, simple.

The funny thing about working in Cartoon land is that Genre-Savvy goes both ways. Three ways. Four Walls. 7 DeMensIons..

Oh, I'm sorry, what? Haha, Funny Fujita's working for money

Well... that is indeed an application of toonforce assisted divination. Not causing the world to warp, but instinctively following the narrativium and discerning a proper shape out of all of that mess.

Someone trained like Russ can see a couple steps ahead and know how to make it dance to his fiddle. Sometimes literally. Fred just reads reality like a book, even if he can't properly reality warp.

Seems appropriate? He's pretty much just doing the divination side of the cthulhubird's schtick, which might be something that comes naturally from being a human going that road. Being physically grounded doesn't mean you are in any way mentally grounded.

New Personal Action for Max unlocked!
Alright...so now during Rival reports, we'll get more information on what happens in Sanfransokyo. Good to hear, that'll probably give us.a much better picture of big moves that occur.
We'll probably have some new Intrigue actions of investigating things like the Yokai or Bakeomono's ties too the criminal underground (but I repeat myself), or maybe we'll get the option to do a bot fight!
Well...at least Reaching out to Fredzilla isn't a National Action.
Good to see Max is making progress, and who else thinks his new personal action will be finishing off the comedy training?

Just as a warning, we started tonight's omake and just never wanted to stop writing it. So prepare for it to be rambly and er, a bit... long.
It's true, this much awesomeness does need a warning.
"No, no." Russ said, a faint smile creeping up the edges of his face. "This is Von Steamer. Boss Awesome's eternal nemesis. This will be good practice for for you in turning Toonforce to your advantage."
Wait. Von Steamer is known as Boss Awesome's nemesis here? I'm so proud of him!
"You need to understand Max." Russ said, now openly grinning. "Steamer plays by the rules."

"BEHOLD, MY GRAND MALEVOLENT PLOT! WITH THIS INCURSION INTO UNDERGROUND CRIME, I SHALL GRIND ALL OF THESE SILICA-LADEN BOTS BETWIXT MY GEARS! THE YOUTH WILL SOON GAIN A FINER UNDERSTANDING OF HOW THINGS WERE BUILT IN THE OLD DAYS!"

"A dastardly plot, Baron, but one you'll not get away with!" Russ proclaimed with more enthusiasm than Max had been expecting. Max stared at him.

"MUAHAHAHA, YESSS! THE HEROES OF THIS FINE CITY ARE HELPLESS BEFORE ME, FOR YOU SEE… I HAVE THE ONE THING ALL HEROES ARE HELPLESS AGAINST!"

With an overly dramatic flourish, Von Steamer stood aside to reveal three girls in punk geisha outfits standing behind him. "I HAVE HOSTAGES!"

"Hiya!" one of the geishas waved. The other two didn't look to be very concerned. Max's expression of confusion grew more pronounced.

"You fiend! To place lives in the balance?!" Russ crowed.

"HAHA YES! Devilish, isn't it?" Von Steamer declared.

"The angels of our better nature will prevail!"

"Ah, but angels can fall! What say you to that?!"

Russ nudged Max gently. "Well come on, say something."

Max blinked. "Uhhh… you won't get away with this?" He said uncertainly.

"Hmm." the Baron rubbed his chin. "You have the right sort of idea, but I don't think your heart is in it."

"Er. You won't get away with this!" Max declared in a much louder, put-upon gruff voice.

"Eahhh." The Baron hummed uncertainly. "Well that's a little better, I suppose. I'm not going to scald you for the same thing twice. Is this your first time lad?"

"Y-yes????" Max replied, more confused than ever.

"Well, we all start somewhere. Tell me, are you feeling up to this? You're looking a bit dogged."
Man, seeing how Russ interacts with Von Steamer really makes it clear exactly why Russ was the obvious choice to send to work with Doof. Also, good on Von Steamer to help the next generation flourish!
Von Steamer blocked the fist with his own enormous prosthetic. "Not bad! I will admit, you possess some small degree of skill. But you will find I do not go over easy!"

"Not a problem." Russ replied. "I'm hard boiled."

Von Steamer flipped open the cap on his steam cannon and prepped his reservoir. "Then prepare to be poached."
Russ is really egging him on here, huh.
"That's his theme! He's like some sort of James Bond spy guy! Is that your hero name? Spy Guy?"

Russ blinked. "What- no?"

"Alright we gotta think of something better then, hold on."

Von Steamer nodded sagely. "I can't very well scream your name to the heavens and swear vengeance if you don't have a fitting moniker."

"Secret agents don't need names!" Russ replied, flustered enough to admit he worked for the government.

Fredzilla gasped again, louder this time. "AAAAAAAAA. I've got it! Secrets agents don't need a name, perfect. You're Agent Unknown."

"Oh no."
Wow, Fred really is good at this. I was a bit nervous at Spy Guy but when given a do-over he really came through for us. I will now refer to Bob Russ as Agent Unknown for the foreseeable future.
"They're hostages! They don't count."

"It's true." Fredzilla agreed. "Hostages don't count."
Well, obviously.
"Oh, you're talking about the Sands thing? I saw that live!" Fredzilla piped up. "I know I'm a hero and all but I really don't feel all that bad about Syndrome kicking it. He was kind of a scumbag."

"How-" Russ asked before he cut himself off and composed himself. "Syndrome has retired following the publicity stunt at the Sands Gala. He's fine."

"No, no, that's just what he wanted you to think! Look at that video clip of his retirement announcement! His cheek keeps on twitching throughout the entire thing and his eyes get unfocused a couple times. He's clearly a robot doppelganger meant to keep the public from knowing who the true mastermind was: none other than Frank Sinatra!"

Agent Russ' mouth fell open.

"It's just like what happened in Captain Fancy number three hundred and twelve! Except you know, it was actually robot Elvis. You better watch out by the way, if they go rogue once they usually go rogue again. CF #532."

"Are you real?" Russ asked.
Speaking of which, we really need to make doppelganger Elvis! Also, Fred's knowledge of tropes is not to be pecked.
"Listen." Fredzilla said quietly. "There's a lot of stuff in this city too big for one hero to take down. I'm trying to put together… a team."

"I'm not a superhero." Russ replied.

"Riiiiiight, right, I gotcha. You're undercover. Probably pretending to work for a villain while slowly turning them to the side of good in a dramatic twist-reveal."

Russ stared.
Agent Unknown, I'm afraid it's true. You have a superhero vehicle, a mysterious backstory, a firm grasp of heroic repartee, and a nemesis. You've fought supervillains, and even done your first superhero team up! It's official, Agent Unknown is now a cape.

Agent Unknown has a new personal action! Toos bad it has to compete with his Nemesis actions and national actions. At least we (hopefully) have the retreat next turn, and Tobe is now more capable of taking over in intrigue actions + we now have enough stewardship/diplo heroes to free up Mirage for intrigue full time.

.... Is the mask or alvin and the chipmunks associated with disney at all? Because I remember there being a Toonification serum in an alvin and the chipmunks animated movie and the Mask being.... Well, mask of toonification basically I kind of want to see us get either at some point... Toon Russ would be terrifying.
