I, for one, support this plan. It's a good spread of easy actions that should net us significant boosts if they crit. It might need to be re-evaluated once we see what the DC for the new actions are, but as is it's a great draft using what information is available to us now. It's got my vote. I had proposed something similar a couple of pages back, so it's nice to see that there's support for it.

I mean, it's risky certainly, but I don't see why it's indescirably-bad. It has a 62 or higher chance.
But now we're in a bullet-time where any failure becomes... catastrophic.

62 or higher ain't high enough.

EDIT:
Tobe, get outta here
Ya got ninja magic to learn

Spying on our Employees with the Dickens doesn't seem bad if we use Personal Attention:

(105-(55+17+10 (XP))) = 23 => 0.23 chances of failure

That with Personal Attention become 0.23**2 = 0.0529 that is 5% chances only, and it's not only to find disloyal employees or infiltrators but also:

(Reward: Discover if any of your employees are disloyal, potentially discover secrets of hero units)

Which seems like something we'd absolutely love since quite some of them have some secrets (Goofy, Russ, Janus...)

I think you should stick LOVEMUFFIN on the Space Program in there too, if it's the same as the Government's, it has a DC of 0.
Janna has better odds than Kitsune on occult research because of her non-practicing practitioner trait, and if her Bored trait kicks in, then she won't try and have a chance of critfail.
Consider having Wendy Wower Psychologically Profile a person, if her Posi-tive-tronic trait kicks in, she'll have a +98 before rolling.

I wouldn't mind at all if she had a Personal Action to look at Norm, though.

Thanks for the heads-up. I replaced Kitsune with Janna.

However I won't be risking the Space Program due to their unknown DC. I wouldn't want a disaster to taint the project in the future.

I might consider adding Wendy Wower on Psychologically Profile a person but I need word from @Made in Heaven to do so to ensure that the bonus kicks in.

With XP spent, it could be.
I don't think you grasp our place here.

72% ain't high enough either. Heck, I don't trust 80%.

The problem we face is if we hit it wrong, we break it. I get that Kat's a toxic part of DEI that needs REMOVED. LIKE. A. TUMOR. but if we fail on finding the bugger right now? He'll never leave.

You raise a good point.

If we manage to "force" a crit success by lobbing everything and the kitchen sink at "Spy on your Employees", we stand a good chance to learn the secret of Goofy and/or Russ - something those explicitly worried about that Dream Queen prophey would greatly appreciate.

As for the Dickens finding things that could sour our good rapport with them, I think they are professional enough to give us the benefit of the doubt.

You think...-sighs-...lobbing the Commodore Himself at it owuld be enough to secure things?

To add to this - if the DC drops by 5 or 10 as the heat dies down, that drops to either a 3% or 1.5% chance of critfailure, with a 97% or 98.5% chance of critically succeeding on a counterintel option we could never reasonably crit on otherwise.

Commodore + PA to spy on employees has my tentative support for the next turn, though that is obviously subject to change as we see what this quest, the rival reports, and all of the other interludes do.

(The Commodore is unlikely to give us personal secrets, mind, but that's not why I'm interested in taking the action. I'm far more interested in rooting out infiltrators.)

Do recall that commodore+pa requires all our personal actions. No working on the musical, talking with employees, tinkering with Inators or making potions for us.

This is a turn where our personals are more valuable than usual. Chat with Bossman and the Musical could both interact with the other personals of our heroes and I would rather not waste it.

I can understand chat with the Bossman, but why the Musical? that needs more than 100 to be completed.

Also although our personals may be more important I don't think that that justifies not using PA, especially when it can make an action that we'd have absolutely no chance of criting (except nat 100 + X) a crit.

Personally, I think he'd with a crit success. Actually, if he sees how we treat our employees and that we're not really evil this might be quite a good opportunity to gain points with him.

Yes, but it'd basically guarantee a crit on an action that we'd have no chances of critting other way. Which seems more important, especially on one so vital as Spying our Employees.

If we don't have Roddy doing anything next turn, we should have him build a lair for LOVEMUFFIN, give them big evil lab to get their science on. It's a personal action, so it shouldn't be affected by the Inator.

I mostly dislike it because of the interactions with our Employees that we could miss out on.

I think it comes down to if we want to reach out to shego with a personal. If we do, then we can't afford to run commodore + PA, and Commodore+2 personals is more valuable than personal attention in general imo. If we don't, then there's a strong argument for personal attention, but in turn the question then becomes if we want to spend that on spying on our employees in specific.
While unfortunate, we might not have a choice but to go for it, since Kat has proven to be a rather puptrid pain in our side.
Has he? He's, uh, done one bit of sabotage that we don't even know what was, I think that's it.

I swapped out Technor with Mirage. I checked the chances and Mirage has a better chance than Technor

To be completely obnoxious, it might be worth looking into personal actions. Even if it's worse odds, it might be worth a good Personal Action. So, say, Janna has much better PAs than Kitsune does, so even though I recommended that change, now I'm recommending putting it back the way it was.

Personally, I'd prefer to roll the Mirage Gacha, but TECHNOR's personal actions aren't bad. If we recruit someone really opposed to our corporate culture, we'll find a way to deal with it.

@Made in Heaven has said in the Discord:
[8:55 AM] C-Moon: Space program is like a DC 0, so a higher number means higher success.
[8:55 AM] googlyeyesultra: ...do we crit succeed space program next turn?
[8:55 AM] C-Moon: So if you fail, you'll start off with a really really shitty space program. Like a booster rocket strapped to a trash can shitty.
[8:55 AM] Grub: no dc, no crit
[8:55 AM] C-Moon: No, that would be too easy.
I think the only way to critfail would be rolling a 1, but it apparently isn't one of those options that turn into a Crit Success upon Success.

Edit: RE: Personal Actions, I really want to have a talk with Inquinator. See what he has to say about the Wastes.

Sure, but missing a turn of pas in order to crit a DC ~100 action seems like a fair trade to me.

Plus, I'm hoping to hire the Commodore for something and spend PA on some high-ish DC action to score more crits this turn anyway, so it doesn't matter to me if those personals are spent in the same place.

Personal Attention lets us get crits on some actions we would never crit otherwise with <5% chances of failure. It just feels like such a waste to not go for it.

Are there more actions that could offer us similar benefits? I'm genuinely asking since I haven't checked.

We might have an action to look for Star now that we've found Marco; critting that could be huge, if it's in range. If we need to send Wile out with Russ on a nemesis action, then it would be a good way to guarentee a crit on the retreat if we get it. In terms of actions we know we have, there's also the option to use it to let Jumba crit Sublight Drives, since we'd never be able to crit that normally, or if Wendy's trait applies it would give us a 83% to crit decode odd transmissions.

Here's a plan I have being preparing to ensure we clear as many actions as possible. If any of them fail then it must be an act of god. I present to you my masterplan

[] Plan Absolute success
-[][Martial] Perform Supervillainy DC 85
--[] Genghis Khan (CoS 98%)
-[][Diplomacy] Reach out to Shere Khan DC 55
--[] Goofy (CoS 97%)
-[][Diplomacy] Reach out to Evelyn Deavor DC 65
--[] Mirage (CoS 81%. Willing to swap with Recruit Villainous capes)
-[][Stewardship] Dinosaur Entertainment DC 75
--[] Roddy Blair, King of Lairs (Cos 96%)
-[][Stewardship] Collaborate with Smart Mart DC 70
--[] Alan Bradley (Cos 83.03%. Willing to swap out with Janus Lee)
-[][Stewardship] Improve Recycling Programs DC 45
--[] L.O.V.E.M.U.F.F.I.N. (CoS 87%)
-[][Intrigue] Infiltrate a Hotspot
--[] Las Vegas DC 75
---[] Dickens Detective Agency (CoS 97%)
--[] Zootopia DC 70
---[] Agent Russ (CoS 90%)
--[] Cape Suzette DC 65
---[] Mirage (CoS 84%)
-[][Learning] Study the SHV 20905 Plans DC 90
--[] Ludivine Von Drake (Cos 93%)
-[][Learning] Research Silphium DC 90
--[] Dr. Jumba Joobika (CoS 98%)
-[][Occult] Study the Crystal Key
--[] Janna (Cos 82%)

I'm going to add the personal results and quest lineups after this turn is finished.
...You have Mirage in there twice, by the way. Somehow.

Thanks for the quick list! Here are my thoughts about them:

We might have an action to look for Star now that we've found Marco; critting that could be huge, if it's in range.

I doubt we'd get it, at least with a DC that isn't impossible or ???, but yeah if it's in range we should totally go for it.

If we need to send Wile out with Russ on a nemesis action, then it would be a good way to guarentee a crit on the retreat if we get it.

Why this? The Company Retreat is a Stewardship action and Wile adds 22 + 4 (Loyalty) + 5 (ACME unlimited) = 31 however Alan and Janus rolls very similarly to him, just 3 points behind. Like I think the chances of failing it would only go up from 10% to 13% which doesn't seem too bad, at least not enough to require PA with 13% but not with 10%

In terms of actions we know we have, there's also the option to use it to let Jumba crit Sublight Drives

It's a valid target but I feel like putting Jumba there would be a pity since Jumba could just crit on a high DC Genetics* actions easily without PA (this turn), and we could spare PA to guarantee a critic on another high DC (normally impossible to crit) action.

*ie Domestication and animal uplinking come to my mind.

or if Wendy's trait applies it would give us a 83% to crit decode odd transmissions.

This could be excellent if it was possible, 83% chances seem a bit too low to have spent PA imo. But the rewards, the loot, the chances of a quest where the main challenge would come from being able to communicate with the other party...

More profitable, at the very least.

I was thinking more about reinforcing our diplomatic ties instead of just profitability, though yeah it'd also be.
