Festivals entrench social values. You want to challenge social values. There is dissonance there.

No, I want to entrench new, better social values. Like iron being totally radical.

If you have a problem with specifically festivals (though I disagree with it), go for double Main GS or something; but, seeing as AN has called challenging 'very disruptive', it may well be worth a lot of Stability, and 0 might not be enough.

I wonder if Grand Palace boosts the legitimacy (and thus stability) cap?
Possibly. It might also just add diplo or a new action or something, however.

The Mountain seems utterly useless tbqh. Like if qi existed and we had immortal cultivators maybe, but otherwise??

My preferred set of actions is Dam -> Library -> PttS -> Temples -> Palace -> Mountain.

There's no real reason to rock the boat by challenging the belief when we can simply abandon it wholesale. We don't exactly have great stability, and i'm not keen on dealing with corruption again.
Idk why you expect this to automatically and immediately decrease stability. And evolving values is always a real reason.

1. The initial response that got you Lord's Loyalty began a process that is militarizing the People. Repeated aggression and mass swings made the idea of having large numbers of warriors more psychologically appealing than humility, especially with the elites trait and all of the chariot contruction being used. You'll have to ditch Honour of Elites first to make it possible to regain Humility.

2. Yes, expansion of armies is something that will be happening if not switched.
Informative and horrifying.

Iron Fisted sounds like it could've been very useful but in this day and age all we need to do is wait for some jacksss to poke us to cause a war.

[X] Challenge belief (Begins event chain)
[X][Main] Grand Sacrifice
[X][Secondary] Change Policy Balanced
[X][Secondary] Expand Forest - Stallion Tribes

Quite annoying. How do we ditch Honour of Elites?

Lets try and get our breath back before working on our mega-projects list/start another war.

Hmmm... take a shitload of mass recruitment options and ignore elite units entirely, even to the point of potentially disbanding one of your sacred warrior groups. Also piss off your noble classes repeatedly as well I suppose.
Would evolving honor of the elites in certain ways allow us to regain humility or our the two lines directly opposed to each other?

I'm ambivalent on expanding forests in the marches or getting more econ to pay for the sacrifice (and therefore leave us better off to do another sacrifice the following turn since the event chain is likely to cause stability hits).

Edit: Also, we should probably look into making a trading post, as the diplomacy overflow will increase the art we get even more.

Not to mention the information we'd get from it, since we don't really send a lot of trade missions.

I really wish the bandwagon didn't fixate on challenging the belief. It ia guranteed to start an event chain. Are ya feelin lucky? Well do ya punk!?

Okay, so it's time to go single-issue voter. For me that issue is Stability.

[X][Main] Restoration of Order
[X][Secondary] Grand Sacrifice
[X][Secondary] Grand Sacrificex2

Taking RoO without a [Main] action is asking for trouble. Instead of 1/16 chance of dropping by one stability overall it's 1/4, with 1/4 chance of no change. We can leave policy on Offense for one turn; since there is no target the provinces will instead repair our battered military.
You might want to switch those around, like so:
[X] Challenge belief (Begins event chain)
[X] [Main] Grand Sacrifice
[X] [Secondary] Restoration of Order
[X] [Secondary] Restoration of Order x2
Since main GS is already winning the vote.
(Also, i agree, at least for now; while i'd like to switch to balanced, getting more military actions in would be nice, and probably help weapon tech development...)

So, I was looking at things, and realized something:
We need 5 more stability, but we're at max legitimacy. Isn't this kinda perfectly what Policy - Restoration is great at?

[X] [Main] Expand Economy
[X] [Secondary] Change Policy - Restoration
[X] [Secondary] Enforce Law
Province actions: Unknown exactly, but almost certain to get +2 to +4 Stability.

A fair point; not likely we'd see Restoration of Order taken as a secondary...I'll edit it.

Again, I don't think we're out of the woods yet militarily. TH is set up to seriously challenge us. Spending a turn of province actions rebuilding Martial seems prudent to me.

This choice also provides the stability we need to handle the event chain, as efficiently and quickly as possible. Here's to upgrading observance!

Actually changed my mind balance might be better to do especially if redshore will do a survey which if it succeeds will give us another iron mine.

Would evolving honor of the elites in certain ways allow us to regain humility or our the two lines directly opposed to each other?

Possibly. They're not entirely opposed but they don't work well together.

Assuming the Nomad heroes don't come back, will we start seeing waves of immigrants again?

It depends. The lowlands are actually mostly stable right now, although the Thunder Horse and Thunder Speakers might have their fight spill out further.

I find it hilarious that we now have both the quality, and quantity honor trait.

[X] Challenge belief (Begins event chain)
[X] [Main] Grand Sacrifice
[X] [Secondary] Expand Forest - Stallion Tribes
[X] [Secondary] Change Policy - Defense

Stay on defense, Ensure this doesn't have a chance of happening soon.

Challange requires asking questions about our beliefs and why we think so. This leads to scientific thought.

X] Weapons (+2 Econ, +8 Martial, ???)

This is an easy choice

[X] Restore order (Main usage)

Main at least gives us good odds.

[X] Offensive (+1 Stability)

[X] No (-1 Stability, +1 Legitimacy)

These two cancel out so no loss.
Sorry, you were too late
[X] Challenge belief (Begins event chain)[X][Main] Grand Sacrifice
[X][Secondary] Change Policy Balanced

Look, just change policy to Balance and leave it there? Our subordinates have better strats than us.
Your vote is borked.
