Of course that's no protection against it melting his face afterwards, so careful with those gamma-HOWS(R)!
we really messed up the naming convention: if Lithoseals (or Lithoruneseals) had won, a three dimensional gamma HOWS could become a HOWL

alas and alack

@Sir Stompy Can you add something to the following effect? General feedback and WC optimization both welcome.

  • (Optional) Tweak HOWS a Hazopilot-reasonable amount more celestine to see what it does when pointed at stuff.
  • Set up the latest HOWS to shine on some mold etc for several hours.
  • Study the results, hopefully establishing IC that celestine light can hurt.
  • "Hey Kagome, the last bluer-blue seal melted some moss and I just turned it up even more. I think we should build an underground MEW bunker for this and research using SCs only."
  • (Can we justify making a radiation-proof suit out of leather and gold/lead for the SC?)
  • Develop a seal based on JADL that focuses light to a pinpoint to blind targets (any light or specifically UV?).

To summarize some discord math we did- a UV lamp drawing 36 watts of input power can kill 99.9% of mold in a few hours. UV lights of this type tend to be up to 40% efficient in converting electricity to light. We know HOWS create 4 watts of output power. Conservatively, this means one HOWS seal is equivalent to one UV lamp drawing 10 watts of input. (Realistically, up to 40% means that they could often be lower, perhaps averaging 25% but keep assumptions about HOWS power conservative for now.) We could slap four on the same patch of mold to test, or just accept weaker results since we just want to prove the concept IC that this type of light can indeed hurt stuff.

Currently figuring out what level of protection is sufficient, esp for eyes. At the moment, Hazo/whoever should be fine unless he spends a lot of time staring into the HOWS, the output we have right now is comparable to (and lower than) consumer-grade UV lamps. They get used to cure nail polish, so brief to moderate skin exposure poses no real risk in ninja contexts. He just needs to not stare into HOWS. But of course we want to start working with bigger and scarier lights, so I prefer to have Hazo figure out and start using protection early. Given sealmaster caution and Kagome paranoia, it should be easy to justify IC.

Okay, after some thought and research (math/engineering details complicated and not freely available) the most reasonable solution is to go "Hey Kagome, the last bluer-blue seal melted some moss and I just turned it up even more. I think we should build an underground MEW bunker for this and research using SCs only."

I would still like to figure out some lead or gold-based suit even for SCs- they have something in them that takes Mental consequences and passes it back to Prime, and I would really rather avoid finding out if gamma can mess with that.

What's the leading theory on what's ami up to/why she left?
That [why Ami left] is to [Forbidden Lore as known by Clan Heads of the Five] is like [Ami's sociopolitical schemes] are to [sociopolitical schemes as done by the Kages of major villages]. I. e., she realized some eldritch truth that made her foresee some impending or ongoing eldritch disaster that only she can stop, and that truth is as far beyond what anyone else knows as her political schemes are beyond those of normal politicians.

Which means we have no hope of figuring the details of it at all, given our current state of knowledge where we don't even know as much as Shikamaru knows about eldritch topics.

And something eldritch, I think, is the only thing that fits the picture. Notably:
In the instant of [Singularity's] birth, she made some deduction. Some insight far beyond even Ami's reach. Some realisation of transcendent importance. Ami insisted that she needed to depart at once. She needed to act before the insight faded because Singularity might not be able to recover it.
An insight that only Singularity, i. e. a FS-free!Ami, can produce? And which she can't legibly write down/transfer to others? And which even Singularity may not be able to recover (presumably if she were dispelled and then re-created again)? That's so preposterous! What kind of information could have such properties?

My hunch (which I'm not confident in!) is that it's some knowledge the Mori Voice is actively suppressing, to the point of making Thinkers unable to think of it, to the point that the Voice may exert the effort to manually edit Ami's brain to make later instances of Singularity unable to conceive of it again.

Or something like that. Something antimemetic, maybe, which Singularity only glimpsed the edges of...

Mm, I guess an antimemetically cloaked Color Cabal would also fit.

@Sir Stompy, could we put a prep day on Pyrophoric Goo Bombs rather than Goo Grenades. We're trying to make better / deadlier weaponry, not the same stuff but easier to target.

Personally I suspect Ami can't get her clones under control or trust them and she left to isolate herself while she figures out how to make them behave.

I imagine that Ami clones would act with literally no regard for long-term consequences and do whatever they wanted which was obviously problematic for Ami Prime.

That or the clone memories caused some sort of mental breakdown and she's recovering from posessing a non-Frozen Skein perspective.

If anyone knows the current IC date, please let me know. A plan/fragment thereof for our OOC curiosity:

  • Chat with Snowflake for a while about current interests and bring up the shape of the world.
  • If that produces no conclusive answer, then Noburi passes instructions to Gaku via 7th Path:
  • All following measurements are to be done as precisely as possible.
  • Get a pole 12 feet long.
  • Early morning on June 20th, have a hole dug for the pole, two feet deep.
  • Insert the pole.
  • Wait for the sun to be at its zenith.
  • Measure the length of the shadow.
  • Report results.
  • Hazo performs the same procedure at the same time.
Even if Hazo has no access to trigonometry, seeing whether or not the shadows are the same length should answer some questions.

If the QMs want OOC justification for the answer:
  1. Artillery. I already have a map of the ENs, as soon as I know what curvature to use for the equations none of these bastards are safe.
  2. The behavior of rifts and runic drag and etc. They remain stationary with regards to the earth, going along with any rotation (or lack thereof). If the ENs are flat, this means something even fuckier than before is up.
  3. This question drives the playerbase insane and has done so for literal years.

Goo bomb variants seem like a weird research front for us. The sharply bounded attack numbers are trivial for Akatsuki to dodge, even before you factor in their sub, buffs, ect.

And pyrophoric goo bombs are weird. A goo-ed ninja already is helpless, and trivial to stab. Why would we want to spend research time on a making a good bomb be more deadly if it hits?

Sure why not

You get a prep day

And you get a prep day

We all get prep days

Everybody gets a prep day
Please don't remove the Goo Grenade prep dya

Imagine a Pyrophoric Goo Mine. Lethality can be good.

@Paperclipped spent a minute or six figuring out the amount of time and chakra that is getting put into Gōketsu training. Behold!

WHOOSH Training Schedules

  • Hazou goes to the Forest of Death early in the morning with Noburi.
    • Hazou tops off from Noburi (+15 CP), and makes 6 Shadow Clones (each with 2 CP, leaving Hazou with 3 CP).
    • Noburi tops off each of the 6 Shadow Clones to 240 CP (1428 CP)
    • Noburi tops off Hazou to half (147 CP).
    • Noburi CP spent: 1590.
  • Noburi returns to the Gouketsu estate and fully taps the koi pond (which holds around 1600 CP), leaving Noburi full.
  • Kei comes to the Gouketsu estate.
    • She drops off Snowflake, leaving her with 63 CP and Snowflake with 62 CP.
    • Noburi and Kei go to the Forest of Death.
    • Noburi tops off Kei to 315 CP (252 CP).
    • Kei creates 6 Shadow Clones (each with 2 CP, leaving Kei with 3 CP).
    • Noburi tops off each of the 6 Shadow Clones to 240 CP, except for one which is only topped off to 160 CP (1348 CP).
    • Noburi tops off Kei to half (147 CP).
    • Noburi CP spent: 1747 CP.
  • The team trains together for a bit (Noburi is so low on chakra that he cannot train effectively here), then comes home with their real bodies, leaving the SCs in the Forest of Death to SC train for the rest of the day.
  • Noburi hires a mission for a dozen genin to drain, in order to refill his chakra reserves.
  • Noburi does his own training, making sure to end with at least 400 CP in his barrel.
  • In the early evening, Noburi taps the koi pond again, filling his reserves up.
  • Noburi and Mari go out to the Forest of Death.
    • Mari makes an unknown number of clones (Noburi is sworn to secrecy) and Noburi fills them up.
    • Noburi returns home almost dry.
  • Noburi hires a mission for a dozen genin to drain, in order to refill his chakra reserves.
Alright, now to convert this into something that can take advantage of the time chamber.

What can we do with a 25% modifier? That is, with a Rune that will have Prime experience 15 hours if he spends 12 hours inside it from the perspective of someone outside.

How much chakra is this going to take? Can we just have a single clone training outside continue for a training block longer? Is that the procedure for what we do when we buy an additional three levels of resolve?

I guess? But Jounin and Essies will still dodge trivially, and we already have explosives for lethal traps.

In general goo bombs don't improve our existing capabilities, the are a fixed-power alternative to attacking.
Great way for a top sealmaster to support some genin/chunin, but they don't actually improve our key skills, and won't help our long-term combat build.

For boosting uplift's personal combat, we want more buffs, debuffs, multiplyers, ect. CATEARS, Force Weapons, Homing kunai, Army of One, improved strobelights, and RRB are much better candidates and they all stack with each other.

Kei is continuing her shadow clone training in Toad while hostilities between Pangolin and Hyena remain suspended. We'll let you know if that changes.
Thank you! I'll update my post accordingly.
I'm not sure what you mean, but let's say the answer is no. His free block is going to training ACE until you vote otherwise
Please explain how you got this number in more detail.
Pinging also @eaglejarl @Paperclipped
This is better explained by the Schedule infographic linked at the bottom of my plan.

The red blocks during the SSA rest days are the ones I'm talking WRT respect to Sealing notes. Ordinarily, we're working on Sealing w/ Prime, but on those rest days we work on TH. Since it doesn't take quite as long to do TH, we potentially have an extra block to read notes.

As for the math, it's fairly simple as complex things go. First I divided 46/11 to give the base rate per diem.

Then each day gets a different number of FOOM blocks depending on what Hazou was doing that day. So for the first 8 days of the cycle Hazou had an effective FOOM multiplier of 0.8x, so I multiply that by the number of days at that multiplier.

In total, we got 8 days at 0.8x, 1 day at 1.0x and 2 days at 1.4x. Unless I have calculated the SSA rest blocks incorrectly. Since on the infusion day it wasn't clear if Hazou would have to Summon and dismiss clones a couple times to get refills for runic infusion I gave him an additional 2 rest blocks that he wouldn't ordinarily get.

Let me know if you have more questions! And I'll try to make this more clear in the future.

I think we should give Kagome the choice as to whether we read him in on stuff. Tell him there's a chance that it could leak to [disastrous/dangerous/whatever] end, depending on things that happen and we can't tell him more without giving him too much information, but that he should at least have the chance to decide for himself.
