Almost all of the plans I've seen so far tend to neglect investigating Akane's death or the likelihood of a tower leak.
Also, getting Sasori working with us on the Great Seal advances our Dragonwar and A-Day plans, we should include it.
I suggest plan-writers to include bringing both of these up with Asuma.
(if nothing else, there are a lot of plans *I'd* like to vote for, that are missing these. change it to get a vote!)

Almost all of the plans I've seen so far tend to agree(often verbatim) on Hagoromo/Ruka, and consulting Asuma about ES iron/gems, and being cooperative while still making profit.
It's really cool that we're all on the same page about this. I'm proud of us, and the togetherness feels good. <3

Remaining disagreement about plans seems to be mostly about Hazo's training, and whether or not to beseech Asuma about SC for Yuno/Kagome/Noburi.

  • "withoutbreaking" should be 2 words. Italics tends to break the space, and I have found that just avoiding them saves me a lot of headache.
  • I would also suggest "economic warfare against Iwa" as an option, which is Mari's entire plan for how Leaf takes over the world. Iwa is the mining capital of the world, but it's still poor because its internal policy has led to export inconsistency. We should strike at this while the iron is hot and outcompete Iwa in literally every meaningful way.

OK, I'm all for reflection on personal failings, but I don't agree with Kei sneaking the Consort Proposal (and it doesn't have anything to do with Ritsuo being a fuck anyway). Maybe just get rid of the details here and in the next section, and just have it be "Ritsuo is a vile bigot...but we're tired" or something like that.

    • We've experimented with ES, and our results are:
      • That it solves all metal/gemstone/glass shortages forever.
      • We think levelling it high enough enables 3D sealing.
      • It gave Cannai a weird feeling in his Boss-to-land sense.
    • Hagoromo: Don't want to involve them in our schools, possible sabotage, fundamental difference in ideas. Collaboration on Till n Fills preferred, maybe tutoring, like TH for Reo, joint lessons, etc..
    • We'd like to request SC for Kagome and Yuno. Kagome, so he can work faster on Dragonwar, Yuno because she's a combat specjonin.
    • Idea: R&D missions. You hire a ninja to research something for you as a mission via the tower. That thing is considered non-secret property of the client -- if people other than client/people they designate mod/hack/are-known-to-publically-use it then they're required to pay a fee (like how sealmasters need to pay to sell mods of someone else's seal).
      • Generates tax, encourages innovation, doesn't seem to cause significant problems in the process.

    • Commission a microscope. Hire Aburame glassworkers for R&D mission if applicable.

Can you swap the word 'short-sighted' for something that is less overtly critical of Asuma's leadership? He knows this puts Leaf down a ninja and he made that decision with that knowledge.

I prefer framing it as an initial Goketsu attempt at Hagoromo reconciliation. It dovetails nicely with being tired of the cycle of hate. I (obviously) like the word harsh: effective death for what she did does seem harsh.

I think that requesting that the meeting with Goketsu be put off-screen would be smart as it's a meeting about a meeting (EJ is quite likely writing) and we can see relevant portions in flashbacks.

Can we request permission to speak freely before calling Ritsuo a vile bigot? Can we say we think he's a vile bigot? Can we talk about wanting to have a more open mind about his clan in general at the same time?

I might take a pass at this plan, but I broadly like the bones.

Hm. "Harsh" seems to carry a bit of our modern day sensibilities (though I do agree), and I-the-player wonder how true it would be to Hazou-pilot's characterization (he threatened clan war, after all, and began to slide into PotO).

I'm a bit leery of Hazou-pilot, who may elect to ignore us (after all, Hazou-pilot didn't catch two different opsec breaches, and had to rely on Kei to catch the first, to escort him out for the second).

What do you think of "rash," instead of "shortsighted?" It carry the same inherent meaning, but with a much less accusatory connotative feel to it.

What do you think of openly framing it this way. Maybe "As a Goketsu olive branch to the Hagoromo, replace exile with..."

It shows that Hazou is tired and weary of the infighting, and is willing to make the first move towards peace.

Clarification: I meant something like, 'we think Ritsuo is a vile bigot who doesn't appreciate Harumitsu and pointlessly scorned our brother, but at the same time, we acknowledge that we just don't know his clan'. Getting that in there right away softens the blow of 'Ritsuo is a vile bigot'.

I'd (personally) rather have it be a "tone: a Goketsu olive branch, making the first move" rather than being explicit with Asuma. He's a sharp guy and he'll catch on. If he says 'lol no I'm all-too-aware that I'm sentencing her to eternal damnation' then we haven't lost anything, and our requesting that he modify a punishment isn't quite an olive branch.

16th century microscopes could achieve ~10x. We're in roughly the 13th century but with improved materials, chakra bullshit, etc. I think we can probably skip a few hundred years.

It's not immediately obvious to me what we'd do with a 10x microscope. What are you thinking about?

The topics presented are weighty enough that, imo, they merit their own scene, and that the QMs would look unfavorably upon trying to offscreen them.

Hopefully the current plans have something like this in them. We have a golden opportunity here and I would hate to waste it

They'll be maintained at roughly parity. @Noumero, @Egg Shavings, @RandomOTP, and maybe @faflec. @Black King I think you were also keen on getting spice/scent samples as well as pursuing Tower leaks. @Iris-Iven-Ibis and @Aodyssey, you also seemed interested in the mirror idea.

Burning Sand Macerators:
A seal meant to be used as a reloadable flamethrower so that genin can used them as much as needed and potentially have multiple (spook target with explosive seal and then spray target until it dies becomes SOP against chakra beasts).

Definition:
1. A protective plate is added to a macerator (metal if it won't interfere, ceramic otherwise). Since the inlet point is displaced 2 cm from the seal, it is possible to have a protective plate over it.
2. A extremely hot substance, such as lava or sand that has been placed in a kiln (~1000 C) is loaded into the macerator.
3. The macerator is used in typical fashion while keeping the protective plate, discharging a cloud of extremely hot material at speeds somewhat greater than a traditional flamethrower. This does not explode due to a lack of combustible material to detonate and the degree of spread can be modified by changing the grain of sand used.
4. This cloud hits the target and causes severe burns across its entire body and potentially sets it on fire (should be plenty of free oxygen). Historically, much smaller amounts than 100 kg were consider quite effective and armor penetrating.

Test procedure:
1. Place sand in kiln in a brittle ceramic container and heat.
2. Apply cover to macerator.
3. Load sand into macerator.
4. Apply MARS to macerator.
5. Place macerator on test stand pointed at target.
6. Trigger MARS from a safe distance and observer. Modify as needed until safe to use in combat.

I'll make mostly the same comments I did to ROTP's plan:
  • Put the Hagoromo section first
  • Get rid of the details of why we're tired
Also, I think your original plan lost the mirror.
