On Thread Etiquette:

I'm not going to weigh in on the logic of either side's arguments, but I will ask that everyone read over what they write and really consider if the words they used are polite and won't be inflammatory intentionally or not. You cant account for people's tolerances perfectly but at least try to say your piece without saying things that can be easily construed as overly dismissive of the other side of the argument, thank you.

Please endeavour to be cordial. :^)

So, how much of the other cities can we destroy? We already did one, and we know we can hit another, possibly both of them, but does that mean we can only go after the blood god after all the rest? Or do we go home after destroying the Nurgle and Slaanesh cities?
It depends on how well the army does. If the army stays intact enough we'll smash all three of the known cities one at a time then the turn ends.

Is that in addition to the one we already did? Or is it just the ones already listed?
In addition to the one we just did I think given the wording of this:

[ ] [Campaign:] Continue the offensive. Campaign goes high level and my rolls will solely be for how things generally play out + Snorri fighting any heroes/big bads, because man am I tired. After a city falls/retreat, a similar vote will happen until you return home or all three cities are rubble.

The three cities that the vote seems to refer to is the Nurglite, Slaaneshi, and Khornish cities. We haven't seen the Tzeentch city yet so that will have to wait till next turn.

Alright, thank you for explaining that to me. So, we got a minimum of two maybe three cities to take down next year. Depending on the layout of the cities, we might have six to seven cities in total. Four for each of the Chaos gods, one for chaos undivided, another for possibly being the newest city to be built (that being the one we fought and destroyed), and a final one with a shard of Hashut, and probably, dedicated to Balor.

We get to attack 4 cities in 10 years. We'll get a vote after each one if we want to continue.

Hello, hello its time for a #DiscordDump.

does repeating a Combo used before but using different Regents enough to not break the Rule of Pride?
Technically this does not break the Rule of Pride as changing reagents results in an entirely "new," Rune, but fiddling with reagents also introduces the potential of messing up the Combo. Further, the point about Snorri being reverent of Master Runes still applies even if you change reagents. Its not reusing the Rune, per se so you feel less bad but you still feel bad. #Runes #Crafting

What will happen to the human bodies?
They will be buried most likely. Putting them in a jar of preservatives wasn't on Snorri's list of ideas.

Wait so was the sword the crit roll??
No. I had two separate loot tables. The first three rolls, of which two crit, got you the eggs. The fourth roll was the sword. Part of my decision to do this was because I had separate upper bounds for the best possible thing you could get from each table, and the eggs were for the first set and the second set for the human loot. Yes, that means the sword is a 70-something, you would have gotten a lesser version of a mystical stew pot that could feed an army and revive the recently dead/dying if you had crit on the second loot table. Yes, I feel comfortable saying that. #Loot #Magic

What did we need to hit on the survival roll for the human captives to have survived?
Not telling.

Feel free to ask questions

[X] [Campaign:] Continue the offensive.

[X] [Blade] Give it to Karstah to study.

[X] [Corpse] Give some to Karstah.

How so? With magic it doesn't seem beyond their power. Or it might be an illusionary mountain
Weight, time, mastery, and cost of slaves. While no sorcerer will shed a tear, they are also not stupid. If it costs more souls then they have to make and maintain an illusory mountain, then why not with those same slaves, just make traps, and finding and bringing in demons and Greater Demons of Tzeentch? Especially because, no Dwarf is not going to notice a mountain that just appears in one place, with nothing to show for it besides looks.

I want to give more stuff to Karstah, but the blade is just too tempting to pass up

@soulcake Can we hatch the dragon eggs and raise them as part of the hearthwardens?

I must admit I'm lost here, I think I sort of get the idea but the name is confusing me. Whats it in reference to? That may make it easier to explain.
It's a reference to the (in)famous Drill and Spiral memes from Gurren Lagann. As well as a number of songs and videos that reference spinning, the ancient og Wonder Woman live action TV series where she dons her costume by spinning, and the old martial arts concepts of "circle defeats line, line defeats circle". And the whole "spiral make arrow/bolt/bullet hit harder/more accurately".

Basically, all the references where spinning very fast makes cool and or awesome and or ridiculous things happen.

Hang on a bit while I go back through the runes and come up with some bullshit thematic soundbites now that I've had time to think and am not split between that and an omake that won't leave me alone:

<><><><><><><><><><><><><>

Weapon / Master Weapon; surrounds the rune with a slow-flowing current of magic, similar in behavior to air. When swung, the current speeds up and aids the strike. More runes increases the power - three runes produces a grinding screech as a miniature mana whirlwind adds great speed to the blow and bites into the target. / The effects of three runes are combined and amplified, as is typical of master runes. The mana warp-twist effect seems particularly injurious to creatures and constructs of the Aether.

Armor / Master Armor: same as the weapon, but the spin speeds up in reaction to incoming blows instead. / The spinning effect strengthens to the point where nearby enemies are constantly hindered and incoming blows are torn to shreds.

Banner / Master Banner: diffuses the effect, trading the raw power of the magic-spinning effect for a greater area to aid groups of allies. / This master rune starts directly interfering with luck and fate on a large scale, to the benefit of the Dawi and the detriment of their enemies.

Engineering / Master Engineering: same effect as weapon, but it applies to the ammunition. It is unknown why three runes seems to suddenly change the effect from raw damage enhancement to having an effect on luck - presumably the greater mass of the item and size of the rune has something to do with it. / Not only does the shot spin furiously, the spinning actively directs it to where it can deal the most damage. Bolts and boulders have been observed actively changing direction mid-flight in order to cause the greatest quantity of carnage.

Talismanic / Master Talismanic: This is weird shit. Nothing right now.

Structural: No idea. The spinning thing seems both more diffuse than the banner while being more potent, but shit got weird enough that Yorri stopped exploring it after two runes.
