I like the finishing of the Minato chain seals and the visit to the Uchiha and Hyuuga estate. Might end up unintentionally making a statement here by who we go to first. Still gonna be fun though. Sasuke did say he'd take us under his wing. That'll be interesting.

Don't really care too much about appealing to Kei to be honest. I would like to emphasize the large economic benefits of lower tier EM. Ice products are pretty useful and could be a godsend to Suna and Med-nin. Tsunade would surely appreciate it. I would consider it more useful this way than as a weapon. It'd definitely matter to Akane as well.

She did outright tell Kei that she was hoping Hazou would figure something out.

EM shouldn't be used in any context.

If we want ice, just have Hazo invent an AC seal that won't be a EM nuke tool.

It's really up to Asuma at this point. In the event that he does, I still think it's important not to think of it as just a doomsday weapon when set to max. It could save lives at lower thresholds. Could do alot of good.

It's important to provide him options and not just the most shitty extreme.

Y'all know that Kagome's gonna take way longer to finish this shit than Hazou would right? Hazou's got higher Sealing, and more willingness to make faster rolls. If we're gonna speedrun getting J out so as to save Akane, the only way to do that is to level Calligraphy.

But we're trying to figure out how to bring the dead back to life?

And the path to that requires sealing. Which requires calligraphy, so we don't kill ourselves in the process.

The fact that Kagome's working on it too is nice and all but he's slow and safe about it.
It also requires 3D sealing (and thus Earthshaping), unless our plan is to kill someone in front of the portal in the hopes that they can open it from the other side.

Actually, whatever happened to the plan of outsourcing the "make a design to open the portal from one side" to civilians?

It's a distraction from Detour 0, we need to finish that up ASAP and get back on the FOOM train. We'll get to it eventually. It'll take a year to work through the sealing chain anyway, and we can't neglect our other projects entirely.

Wait how does 3D sealing avoid the problem of getting a seal to the other side of the rift?
My guess on 3D sealing is that it works through multiple dimensions, based on our admittedly limited information on the Great Seal and Summoning Scrolls [citation needed].

Also, I really don't want to kill someone to open the rift.

Isn't the theory that enough of Minato's notes would let us open the Rift from one side via the injection of a chakra construct?

Killing someone won't work without a way to communicate and we don't have that.

Seems very doubtful to work without knowing more about the chakra draining properties of the afterlife. If dead!Hazou has no chakra, how can he infuse seals?

This was also my understanding. Minato's notes provide us the ability to make seals that produce designer chakra constructs.

This makes the assumption that ES 50 unlocks 3D sealing, in addition to the assumption that 3D sealing is necessary for multi-dimensional seals, rather than, say, Minato's sealing, as has been proven in-story by Naruto's seal.

Well, nobody has ever unlocked Minato's sealing method with 3D sealing ever before. Think of the synergy! We'll be building on the shoulder of giants.

Also, we need a better name for Minato's sealing.

I don't think we know enough about it to put a name to it, yet.

@eaglejarl @Paperclipped @Velorien have Kagome or Hazo come across anything like a name for Minato's seals in his notes? Do they regard it as a new paradigm (object-oriented programming vs. functional) or more a subset of what they know (standard design patterns...which weren't always standard, naturally)?

Namikaze style might be appropriate, unless they're an extant clan and they'd get pissed.
