On Thread Etiquette:

I'm not going to weigh in on the logic of either side's arguments, but I will ask that everyone read over what they write and really consider if the words they used are polite and won't be inflammatory intentionally or not. You cant account for people's tolerances perfectly but at least try to say your piece without saying things that can be easily construed as overly dismissive of the other side of the argument, thank you.

Please endeavour to be cordial. :^)

Barring an improbable turnaround it appears we'll be sticking to the statue. I am hoping there will be more battles where we might throw our weight against the bulk of the enemy, and/or the Fimir dare to challenge the echo of the world that was. Guarding a place just isn't the best use of our talents

To be fair Eva, if we are guarding the statue, that means that outside of speed construction, we are also liable to be spent into the thickest of the fighting, which is common sense when you've got a gronti that works actively better around us. It would be like a greenskin honor guard and a shaman combined as one, to a shrine of Mork (or was it Gork?). That doesn't mean that we will not fight in the vanguard, just that we won't stay in it if the situation calls for it.

I don't really understand what you're trying to say. Could you please elaborate?

Ah, as we are basically going to be its protection/support detail to not only make it work better in construction and combat, we also need to stay with it whenever the gronti decides to go somewhere. Like, say deciding to fight in the vanguard position for a few hours, before mid-swing turning around and marching to the rear to help the rear of the throng from a surprise ambush. Essentially, we've given up the fixed position detail, like going to the front, and in its place, we have been granted tactical mobility to go where ever the situation calls for it with the goal of helping the throng, with the added support of a walking invulnerable magitech-Golem that we make better by just being near it.

They're liable to attack the statue once they peg it as the thing our entire logistics hinges around. Plus our deep magic tap will probably amplify it.

Hmm, would love to see some dirachs, that would definitely be useful to us and some research we can get going on once this war turn ends, presumably with at least one or more of the accursed cities in ruins.

Whelp, here's hoping that the colonization effort isn't a failure (just because it seems like a good idea at the start doesn't mean it'll pan out) and we'll be able to quickly repay the favor debt.

We would need to put our money where our mouth is.
Tankfully Storri have deep pockets and retainers
to repay its debt it would be an action crunch.

[X] [Line:] In general. There has only been one, and with Valaya as your witness, there will only ever be one. From the moment you wed you belonged to each other, and not even death would have you break that oath.

Nope, six to one in favor of full support.
Actually looking at the tally it breaks down like this apparently:
89 [Y] [Support:] Fully Support the proposal.
86 [Y] [Support:] Partially Support the proposal
and
3 [Y] [Support:] Partially Support the proposal.Freyda will likely see her proposal agreed to, but anything beyond the minimum will be on her and her alone. Your word carries weight, and you suppose this is as good a use for it as any. Gain +1 Standing with the Cult of Valaya. Unlocks Options. Cost: [30 Favours from Kraka Dorden, Ornsmotek and Ravnsvake, 10 Favours with Kraka Drakk]

So assuming Soulcake includes the latter three votes it is a tie.

Sucks that we now have to split our efforts even more when we are already undertaking a great endeavor.

edit: oh wait it's a tie!

But I already posted the Anakin gif...

ah well.

Uh.

Vote...reopen?
[ ] [Support:] Fully Support the proposal.
Freyda will almost assuredly get the Northern Kings to agree to her proposal and with good odds of them agreeing to ideas she considered outside her reach before. You'd be throwing your weight around in this manner, and it will show. With Silverbrand in Ornsmotek there's sure to be pushback there because of it. Gain +2 Standing with the Cult of Valaya. Unlocks Options. Cost: [70 Favours from Kraka Ornsmotek, 50 Favours from Kraka Dorden, and Ravnsvake, 30 Favours with Kraka Drakk]
[ ] [Support:] Partially Support the proposal.

To add, going into negative favour means you owe them, and you can either repay it proactively or wait for them to ask, at which point refusing would need a really good reason and even so it'd still be a bit of a faux pass.

Please format properly. I'll be tallying from the previous update, so if you've already voted you don't need to vote again unless you've changed your mind about which support option you want.
