On Thread Etiquette:

I'm not going to weigh in on the logic of either side's arguments, but I will ask that everyone read over what they write and really consider if the words they used are polite and won't be inflammatory intentionally or not. You cant account for people's tolerances perfectly but at least try to say your piece without saying things that can be easily construed as overly dismissive of the other side of the argument, thank you.

Please endeavour to be cordial. :^)

hmm. Think our RIVAL Is there drinking his sorrows away?

Curses. does this mean he's got something big planned too but will be overshadowed by our Epic Chainforger contribution?

We'll never get rid of him now!
Beardling need to be able to overcome challenges, if this little bit stops him then he is obviously too lazy and needs to work harder

I'd say visit the throne because I'd like to see if Snorri thinks the rune is any less impossible now and that's where I bet we find Grungni again. Other than that, the bakery and tavern sounds fun. That's also where we might find some important dudes undercover again lol.

Next turn we have 2 free actions unless we get Yorri'd which I'd like to use and finish Odd Places.
If we are going to see Grungi again, it should be after we teach everyone how to make chain.

Glad to see Yorri is still around. We haven't seen him in person in 102 years. Though he did send Snorri that request to have each of his apprentices make 20 axes for him to study.
Not that I doubted he was alive. The guy looks set to live forever.

It makes me wonder if he has any other apprentices that he just never mentioned to us.

Well he had Joll. And considering the clues we had it seems likely one of his apprentices did a 'real' bad. Maybe the one that made radicals a naughty word.

Nah, the clues we got pointed to it being his master that did the bad stuff.

Hmm... What is she up to?

Probably something to do with the Rune of Forged Limb business, as she told us in Turn 35.

You calmly digest what Snerra has explained to you, drinking from your tankard as the fire roars beside you.

Glancing at her earnest stare, you simply sigh and drink another mug.

"So," you begin, "You want to take on the agreement with the Cult of Valaya over the Rune of Forged Limb as I have."

"Yes," she confirms.

"But moreover, you wish to expand your efforts to include the whole of the Far North."

"Aye."

Belatedly you realize you actually would have preferred it if she had come to you about broaching the subject of betrothal to her father instead of this. Ancestors preserve you, two tankards isn't enough to deal with this headache.

"Lass, I have no say in whether or not you decide to go ahead and follow through with this," you eventually reply, "While your sentiment is appreciated, I will not and cannot decide for you on this matter. Make an agreement with the Cult of Valaya as I have or not. You're a Master Runesmith now, the choice must be yours."

I doubt she is feeling much pressure to do that with Snorri teaching the runes far and wide. There is a good chance that within a century there will actually be enough limbs to meet demand. Without anyone needing to do any heroic effort.
