Why are we seriously suggesting reparations of some sort? That sounds like a great way to torpedo any settlement long term before it even begins. The true issue is how they share the city together. Anything else is just appeasing one of the groups. That is counterproductive, and our solution should not be punitive

We can leave such a big seed stockpile in Sendai's hands, after all the shit they've pulled. Parts of the UG also won't be happy without reparations.

We could leave it for a later vote, though.

Maybe...Grief seeds aren't going to be quite as vital, the crazy girl who'd protest the loudest is down , and this is a good way to shut down any protests from the UG before they happen?

You aren't wrong though.

Changes:

[] We're afraid Akiko will have to wait for last. She was literally shrieking mad just now; we had to disconnect her. Once she wakes up and finds out that, she's gonna get even madder and more incoherent. There's also people who might be dying out there who need our help.

[] Ask Rin if she's OK and if she can come over, or tell us where she is so we can get her. There's a lot of injured people in the streets because of the fight, and we would really appreciate her help.

[] Took out the last line.

As much as we like Rin, some pressure is necessary, since we're dealing with people's lives, here.

Unless we put her on first aid duty, her power's not going to be of much help on the search and rescue, nor in restraining Sakura.
Even if her powers aren't geared for it, she is still superstrong and more agile than regular humans, meaning that she can get to places easier than EMS and help out with the S&R. Plus, she can also do first aid duty. Every little bit helps.

Seriously, leaving them on the roof does nothing except deprive us of someone who can help out. That person can be the difference between someone living and dying, and leaving someone out of the operation because

Paranoia that we might intimidate the thoroughly cowed Tokyo girl.

is just, I mean, what? Lives are literally on the line here. Concerns like that should be going out the bloody window when the stakes are this high.

There's no point to it.
Also, wut?

[] Try and talk with Sakura about Akiko's issues. Even after all this we still want to help them as long as they stop their extortion racket and other such business.

Changed from: Try and talk with Sakura about Akiko's issues. After all this, we'll require their group to make amendments to the UG, but despite everything we still want to help them as long as they stop their extortion racket and other such business.

I'de be OK with grief box. More if it's like our earlier transport, though.

We are really confident we can leave the bodies here and that they'll still be here when we come back.

Cannon, the issue is that the grief box of FUN makes no sense and does nothing that less...bizarre options wouldn't. Just leave them if you really want everyone for this little field trip.

...It is our earlier transport. We've been flying in what's essentially an open topped grief box. I mean, we made alot of jokes about oppression fortress and vimana and what not, but it is just a flying grief box. This is just one with a cover on top so we don't freak people out.

Wut?

The UG are however down to 3 grief seeds. I would like this addressed somehow. I'd prefer fining the Sendai group so that each UG member has 5 seeds. Sendai can afford it.

However I'd settle with giving the UG a clear seed or two.

We do need to get the UG in a better position to defend themselves. Three seeds isn't enough. Dropping what we're doing and rushing to the UG's aid is not an adequate response.

The problem with the grief box is less if we find it creepy, but rather how the others will react if we just dump all the bodies we pick up inside a box, like some kind of mass grave.

Wut?
Useless brain damaged vote. We don't need to carry a bunch of bodies everywhere since we can be reasonably sure they won't go anywhere.

That damn grief seed pile is a problem.

We can't let Sendai keep it.

We can't demand they give all of them to the UG. Hell, they know they don't really need them anymore, so they might not be content with getting seeds as reparation.

We can't take them ourselves without painting ourselves in a bad light.

Ideally, I'd have each Sendai meguca keep 2 seeds, each UG meguca keep 3 seeds, and the rest would magically disappear.

I actually agree with Cannongerbil here. If we're serious about saving lives we want to use all the resources at our disposal. Taking the bodies with us allows Rin to triage (Moe, for example, might require priority treatment even over some civilians) and lets us use everyone available to help civilians.

I'd hope we have more care about it than flail around and dump the bodies in a box. Ribbon stretchers on a roofed platform, for example

Even redistribution of everyone's grief seeds?

Moving on to another part of the vote... do we really have to personally bring Ueda back to Tokyo? I don't think we actually have an obligation on her. Why not just help her buy a train ticket?

It's been a really long day, and I don'tdon't want us, Sabrina and Mami (and possibly Kirika too) to end it with a several hour round trip across Japan and back.

I'd also like to be in the neighborhood in case the rest of the Fukushima group decides to check in.

Wouldn't gem and body separation makes them the lowest possible priority?

Also...we really could just leave them. No one's climbing a radio tower to fetch them any time soon, after all.

....That runs right into the punitive restoration issue again. I mean, we balked at 20 grief seeds back when the negotiations first took place, and that was before they expended a whole bunch of seeds in this battle. This will just piss them off, guaranteed.

Well, okay, what about a ribbon stretcher or something? I don't really mind what we carry them in, just so long as we bring them with us because, well, leaving a bunch of bodies just lying around when we want them doesn't sit right with me.

The discontent parts of the UG might not even settle for grief seeds as reparations, since they know they don't really need them anymore.
Then we point out we're not letting them go after Sendai either, and that we won't always be here to constantly cleanse- they'll still need a handful of seeds to be safe.

We should leave the bodies. It makes no sense to carry them everywhere and will just lead to pointless awkwardness. There's no good reason to cart them around.

Agreed. We should ask her how she intends to return to Tokyo, and make suggestions if she has no ideas, but transporting her ourselves is frankly, not our responsibility.

Wait, even distribution? That would leave Sendai with way too many seeds. THey can have two each, at most.

That's good, I guess. Tentatively editing.

I'm also gonna tentatively edit the grief oppression fortress in the vote, and we can see how it looks as part of the vote.
