This is tangential as heck, but isn't the phrase
"standing for council" synonymous with "running for council" in the context of elections? Or is it a Briticism? What?

I mean, if you want a less active, but more serious, form of "I am a candidate, yes", for some reason.

Yeah, physical action verbs being blended over into social or operative verbs is interesting.

Since Godwinson and Redshirt Army are running for the Council now

Does that mean that Sabrina will be able to say to the Tokyo Gucas something like "As a fellow Councillor, I do not endorse your course of actions?"

Only to be asked what she's a councilor of and answer that she's obviously a councillor of the voices in her head.

I literally cannot think of anything more on brand than Sabrina proudly announcing she has a position of authority within her own mind. "Like, you don't understand, I never had a say in how it was run, before."

...okay, it definitely needs to be Redshirt and not me who gets on the Council, because that adds to the humor even more, because then Sabrina can make the joke about one of the voices in her head finally having a say in how her mind works... of course it's not the voice that's like her, no, it's the faceless horde of disposable extras who have a say.

"...why?"
"Democracy! They outvote the rest of me! send help"

you're glad that she's turning the anger on someone -something more worthy than the Pleiades- but that glitter of sheer hate on Airi's face and the way she's trying to burn a hole in the wall with her eyes alone are enough to worry you just a bit.
It won't be today, but we need to act on this soon. The Power of the Dark Side will keep her stable for a while. It's a valid result. But I think the side effects aren't too pretty. Maybe we can walk her through the Stages of Grief someday.
Anri is proving to have just enough EQ that I think we can pull off our plans, and that makes for happyz.
The basic mechanics there doesn't exactly explain the Kagoshima group's fear of grief controllers attacking other grief controllers. Thus it may be wise to look for something deeper.
"There can BE only ONE." Uh, no?

[X] With Yuki's team:
[X] Polite, relatable, regular Sabrina attitude. Bird is the word!
-[X] Clear the air. You'll be working together, so you need to wrinkle out any potential issues.
--[X] Especially in Tokyo, it'd be good to present a relatively united front.
--[X] You're... unhappy with the amount of collateral they caused in Sendai, but if they were desperate to recover their friends, some of the blame *is* yours.

--[X] We want to control the fight, even if they want collateral damage.

Regarding "what responsibility we acknowledge" at Sendai, it would be fair IMHO to say, once everyone has decided on fighting we all accept the risks.

I literally cannot think of anything more on brand than Sabrina proudly announcing she has a position of authority within her own mind. "Like, you don't understand, I never had a say in how it was run, before."
That's even the effect of our latest Enchantment.

Dang, maybe I should have run for the council after all.

"The witch inside me is also gaining a greater say in my mind."
"What?"
"No, not that witch, the other witch."

When a candidate runs for office, it's important to see how well they keep their promises. So let's look at my track record.

Are you tired of dull, repetitive arguments that ultimately go nowhere? Do you want your children, and your children's children, to have a better PMAS thread experience?

There is hope!

Ugolino and Lostdeviljho both want you to think that only Sayaka's say matters in this thread. For too long have the top 1% of posters dictated how this thread will behave.

For real change, you need to vote for someone who understands the little guys. Someone who isn't one of the fat-cat PMMM roleplayers. Someone who knows what it's like to be a background character.

Vote Redshirt Army for a brighter future, today!

An innovative campaign platform, filled with boundless potential!

[:V] Replacing our physical body with one made of grief!
[:V] Going to Asunaro!
[:V] Defeating Feathers by harnessing the limitless energy of morality debates!

Ugolino has proclaimed his support for Sayaka/Kyoko on multiple occasions. But he still refuses to finally admit his true feelings to Muramasa. Is he really committed to shipping Red/Blue, or is he just a flip-flopper? Can you trust someone like that with your vote?

Lostdeviljho claims to represent Sayaka in the midst of a mental breakdown, but has yet to contribute meaningfully to Sabrina's brain damage. Is Lostdeviljho... only pretending to be crazy? Can you trust someone sane to lead Sabrina's mind?

This election, vote for a candidate you can trust. Vote for someone who takes a stand on the important issues, and has a notable history of brain damage.

Vote Redshirt Army.

This message paid for by the International Coalition of Minor Characters.

Since that time, we have had:
:V Enormous progress on grief replacement bodies, with large time investments into chibi creation research.
:V A full scale expedition to Asunaro, where we encountered brain damage beyond our wildest dreams.
:V While Feathers has remained elusive, we've had morality debates far more intense and energetic than in any prior point in the thread's history.

I think it's safe to say that with that kind of track record, I'm definitely a candidate to trust.

So when you vote for councilor, remember who really puts in the work on all those Away Teams. Vote Redshirt Army.

I suddenly have an inexplicable urge for Sabrina to use witty one-liners in her fights

Like you know

"Roll initiative, bitches."
"Wha?-"
"TOO SLOW."

Timestop and everyone ends up as jewelry

... Can we reserve this phrase for future use?

If we're getting that serious it's too serious to waste time on a quip and hope it distracts the people who are dangerous enough to be worth surprise-gemming.

Maaaybe this would belong in a sparring session. Except we are not the fastest one! lol.
Training should make friends, and we can enjoy it! Actual fighting, going to side with Qwertystop. Sabrina isn't supposed to risk failure for frivolous reasons. Serious conflict is not a happy event, either.

#####
Shinobu has some sort of Create Item magic, not sure if that is basic, or an application of something else. She might enjoy sharing notes with us, as we use a manufacturing based approach. Both of us could find some improvements?

#####
Setting up a supervised trip to heal random folks at the hospital is the best idea I could offer at present.

Anri is not a Healer - but trying that out for a while can let her feel self esteem, and make memories Arzt Kochen is certain to resonate with. I think reinforcing the ideals of what her friend chose is positive. Wishing to be Yuuri is something we have to help her deal with. Aspiring to be best version of yourself has to be right, and letting your friend show you the way is fine. For the immediate life of Anri Airi, it should let her realize her magic can do other things.... If she can magic up knockout gas, or an animal, could she also train herself as a legitimate pharmacist? It would be within her power to modify existing organic chemicals as well? If she doesn't want to stick with health care, she can do other sorts of good by understanding herself better. Ultimately, the anger will not be there to help her forever (excepting that Kuubey has a lifetime pass to her dark side...) Purpose is helpful. Deciding upon Love is even moreso.

The rate of Hope infusion progress, and future limit for Anri's life is, as far as I can see, all about having her find positive interactions with external reality.
Iron bars do not a prison make.

--[X] Especially in Tokyo, it'll be important to present a united front.

[X] Shinobu:
-[X] Yuki claimed Shinobu *wasn't* a mountain spirit, but looking at her that was clearly a lie. :V

[X] Your Upcoming Schedule:
-[X] Do they know anything about the Murasaki Shrine Maidens? You've heard good things from Nadia and wanted to fit them in on Saturday.
-[X] You're planning Tokyo for around Tuesday afternoon. You'll keep them in the loop once it's confirmed.

[X] Break to voting to raise other topics (Soujus, Iowa, etc.).

You know what we need?

We need to gather all the characters voiced by Aoi Yuuki from the different universes
And have them teach Madoka how to be fucking badass
No Wish involved
Madoka just learns how to swear in German, dropkick her enemies from orbit, use guns, knives, bows, staves and FRIENDSHIP to murder her enemies
... Aoi Yuuki really likes to voice dark characters, apparently

Ah

Wait,
@AuraTwilight, want some help on Japanese customs, if you please

If you refer to someone by a honorific they are not entitled to, does it make people pissed? I'm obviously not referring to gendered honorifics, but the stuff like -sama, -dono, that sort of thing

Cuz I really want to have Sabrina say Shinobu-dono

See, dono is a bit weaker than sama, and gods and spirits are usually referred by sama
But since this is all a joke, and our parents are two lesbian goddesses from another timeline, we technically have roughly the same rank as Shinobu, which means she commands our respect, but not reverence and fealty
Hence Shinobu-dono

This time I spent browsing Japanese honorifics could be spent on Hearts of Iron 4, or writing a waffy omake
Mmm

The first two lines, and the points here on still being unhappy about the collateral in Sendai and them striving to be better feels a bit inauthentic to me: Bringing their actions into it like this, after we've spoken about them before feels more like re-litigating an old argument than an effort to clear the air. Instead I feel that when making amends in this way the focus should be on one's own efforts to improve.

[X] Clear the air.

-[X] You don't know them personally enough yet to offer something specific but you'll do what's needed to settle any lingering grievances.
-[X] With that in mind, what are *their* concerns?

Revamped Tokyo visit talk a bit for a couple reasons.
1: We are at the wrong stage of the process to start talking about specific days of the week.
2: Tuesday is enchantment practice. I see skipping out on it as something that would set us back much more than being absent from one of Sayaka's training days.

Fair enough. Wednesday, then? Because Monday is the expected arrival date of the Soujus...
Wednesday at the latest, yeah. If Tokyo feels the need to delay longer than that we can ask if it would be alright to show up, offer cleanses as a stopgap, and postpone the finalizing until later.

On which note I think we should open talks with Chidoya and any other groups soon. Possible over the weekend if we can get our hands on a smartphone. (...Or just make one outright. Part of me still wants to see if we can intercept, decipher, and send radio signals with our fog and a grief-mechanical computer.)

EDIT: Doing it this was will of course mean that when Sabrina puts her pinky and her thumb to her mouth and ear, she actually calls people. And vice versa. Which just seems perfectly dork-y and in keeping with Sabrina doesn't it?

They will proooobably think Sabrina's being either sarcastic or an idiot, considering she's Caucasian. Let's not.

This.

That's been bugging me for a while
Homura is Japanese
Madoka is Japanese
Auntie Sayaka is Japanese
How come Sabrina is European?
Is it because she's SV? Walpurgisnacht? Adopted?!

...

Hell, why not?

Oh, hm... Might be a security concern...
