I don't think this conversation benefits from asking him for stuff. It's one thing if he asks how he can help, but he hasn't.

… on the one hand that's pretty fair, It might be a good idea to bring up in a follow up conversation, but on the other he seems pretty concerned about the small amount of adults in the know. Instead of asking about if he can help with it, instead we could continue the current conversation by saying something like "Besides Hitomi's parents, we are trying to look into bringing some therapists into the know, as well as legal consultants to help, because you are right, things shouldn't be left to only teenagers." If he offers any help after that, great! Otherwise it would be at least help alleviate the worry that he might have currently of teenagers having to run everything. Edited my vote to better reflect that.

Might want to warn him that witches can cause suicides. New cases of severe depression or sleepwalking should be investigated by a magical girl.
Could combine this with the Walpurgisnacht warning. Lead with witches being a potential danger to everybody, general symptoms to watch out for. All MGs can sense them, but our team is unusually good (though not perfect) at long-range detection, which is how we know there's a really bad, as in kaiju-equivalent, one due to arrive on the 30th.

What locations has Walpurgisnacht destroyed before?
Let's not.

I know my vote's gotten a lot of funnies, but I did put thought into it. Shin doesn't need the gory details of Walpurgisnacht. He just needs to know that it hits on the 30th and that he and Nagisa should be elsewhere when it does. And so far, everyone we've spoken to about Walpurgisnacht has benefited from our confidence in our ability to kill it. So let's just lead with that this time instead of talking up how scary she is and then backtracking. Treat Walpurgisnacht as a known quantity that will be doing some damage but that we will be dealing with.

Yeah, I definitely think we need to come off as if we know what we are doing when it comes to the city destroying witch, pointing out all the other city's she's successfully destroyed definitely won't do that.

I so do love moments when magic is revealed to regular people (Hitomi and her parents being moments that I reread frequently). Was very much looking forward for this one and it did not disappoint.

So, on the list of what to tell him, we have a warning of Walpurgisnacht (and maybe witches in general), advice for anti-incubator, and a note of Nakano Mika. I don't think we told him about the lichbomb yet, so maybe include that? What about the witchbomb? Leaning towards yes to both but I would like a second opinion now we're halfway(?) through the dinner.

Also can we include a review of Shion Cafe we haven't gotten back to him on that yet.

The main thing about the Lichbomb is that our souls are literally on the line, I'd say, and he seems to have cottoned on to that fact already ("Fighting for basic sustenance" and all that); the Witchbomb...well, Mami is right there.
I also don't want to completely overwhelm the man; unlike the Shizukis he has neither prior if half-forgotten knowledge nor someone else to process the knowledgebomb we dropped on him with.
At some point down the line it'd be beneficial for the adults in the know to start talking with each other, but considering that pool consists of the Shizuki family, Shin, and an unknown, presumably existent pool of isolated parents around the world whose daughters aren't good enough at sneaking out quietly...eeeyeah.

Perhaps a "we can discuss what we're actually doing to help later", but better worded. Just something to reinforce that we're not going it alone, though at least he already knows we have adults on our side. That it's just two adults at present is the kind of detail that might lead him to offering to help on his own. I know Japanese culture is big on, "Don't ask for help. Show you need it." There is a big stigma when it comes to therapy in Japan, but I think the plight of meguca may be enough to push past that, even if Shin holds some of that reservation.

Sabrina did an excellent job of doing the politeness dance here, when she allowed Shin to 'win' when he would likely be ordering more than he would and let him pay half the bill. They are teenagers after all, and ones who don't need to worry about gaining weight at that.

Agreed. We shouldn't give details beyond, "Be out of town, with Nagisa, on the 30th. Invite others to a party or something so they're safe, too".
