I'm still kinda disappointed we aren't taking anything bigger. Yeah, I understand "acquiring" a tank, jet fighter, or battlecruiser would be... noticeable, but I want my military vehicles, damn it.

Would it be feasible to build Homu a tank, though?

Not that we'd want her inside the tank, but she could use it with her vehicle manipulation ability, I think.

Alright, time to actually make a vote.

[x] Ask if you can vent a bit. You just want someone to hear you out, and you trust her more than anyone else.
-[x] Vent. Express your frustrations, recurring problems, and fears about helping magical girls, dealing with secrets, going too far and generally everything.
--[x] Don't overwhelm her or make this all about you. Ask her if she wants to talk/vent too. If she does, comfort her appropriately.
--[x] Thank Homura for the trip; it's fun, doing this with her, and you enjoy her company.
[x] Meet up with the others and head to school.
--[x] Have fun with your friends. Joke around, be silly.
--[x] Hug Mami. Mention that you're approaching 400 hugs, and you'll have to throw a celebration once you reach 500.
--[x] Don't prompt Sayaka about her witchbombing decision. Don't mention it unless she brings it up.
---[x] If she does, talk to her privately and cut to voting
[x] Once that's done:
--[x] Meet with Oriko. Discuss Homura and the potentialbomb in private. Ask if there was a reason she was so against Homura learning it, something other then Homura's regular reaction.
--[x] Ask if Oriko has any clue what happened the previous loop.

[ ] Things to do for later:
--[ ] Meet with Oriko. Discuss Homura and the potentialbomb in privacy.
--[ ] Contact Yuki and discuss Airi's mental state and a potential visit.
--[ ] Check with Kyouko to see how she and Yuma are doing.
--[ ] Ask the University group if they know of any groups that need help.

has been changed to

--[x] Meet with Oriko. Discuss Homura and the potentialbomb in private. Ask if there was a reason she was so against Homura learning it, something other then Homura's regular reaction.
--[x] Ask if Oriko has any clue what happened the previous loop.
as that will probably be its own update. Also, looking back, I found this.
"I have a suggestion," Oriko announces blandly, eyes sliding aside to glance at the time traveller. "You should ask Akemi Homura how the last time loop went, though you should probably be careful about it."

In the timestop, without other noise, you can hear metal creak as Homura's hand tightens on the pistol grip, now pointing directly at Oriko's Soul Gem. Violet eyes set between furrowed brows and a fierce scowl meet yours, a silent question handing in the air.
It seems like Oriko might know what happened last loop, or have some idea, so if we want to learn without any of the consequences asking Homura will entail, Oriko may be able to give us some insight. Though, upon further re-reading, she did say she didn't know what happened last loop, but that may have changed.

I was considering adding
--[ ] If it looks like you're going to arrive at Mitakihara before the conversation's over, slow down.
But I'm not entirely sure it needs to, you know, exist. As @Onmur pointed out, it probably won't take that long to talk, but we never actually got a number for how long it took to get from Mitakihara to Vladivostok, and even if we do arrive before we're done with the conversation we can just continue at Mitakihara.

Thoughts?

I'm iffy on having the vent thing right now, though. Homu's emotional digestive system's still busy. :thonk:
--[x] Hug Mami. Mention that you're approaching 400 hugs, and you'll have to throw a celebration once you reach 500.
This though. Yes.

What else did I want to do of worth? I think just telling O&K that they're our friends. Just know, formalizing it, not leaving such thing unspoken.

And Phoenixian wanted to make a thing to scan the feather. We kind of have to do something about the feather, can't keep putting it off. I was hoping to try and get something out of Riona about it, but while I can't complain about how we handled her, we still got no progress featherwise.

:V Ideally, I'd like to examine the Feather after having a touching moment with O&K about friendship, so maybe we would be able to read some guilt in Kirika's face if the Feather was a completely mundane feather Oriko threw on the wind to ratch up our paranoia, right agter having such a moment. :V

Breakdown down below.

[X] Make sure you both take all the money this time.
[X] Ask Homura if she's got another mop. Debate the merits of being a calling card dropping anti-Yakuza vigilante.

[X] After the raid:

[X] Back to your friends.
-[X] 'Seriously' ask Sayaka if she stayed out of trouble all of the twenty seconds you were gone.
-[X] Hug Mami. Mention that you're approaching 400 hugs, and you'll have to throw a celebration once you reach 500.
-[X] Kiss Mami goodbye.

[X] Meet up with the Kures.
-[X] Tell O&K they're your friends.
-[X] Discuss Homura and the Potentialbomb.
--[X] How does it affect her?
---[X] Share thoughts without breaching Homura's privacy too much:
----[X] Guilt.
----[X] Losing faith in victory.
--[X] Is there any way to break it gently to her?
-[X] Make an enchanted Griefhax psychometer for The Feather at some point during the meeting.

- Make sure you both take all the money this time.

Last time we burned up a lot of money alongside the drugs, so just making sure we don't do that this time. We both need the money and we both have unlimited storage space now.

- Ask Homura if she's got another mop. Debate the merits of being a calling card dropping anti-Yakuza vigilante.

So I don't want us to vent to Homu, but silly thought, what if we did the katana -> mop thing again? :V It's probably a terrible a idea but I feel so tempted.

At any rate, it's something nice and silly to wind down talking about.

- 'Seriously' ask Sayaka if she stayed out of trouble all of the twenty seconds you were gone.
:V Because:
Firnagzen said:
"We will," you say, and let the smile turn into a grin you direct at everyone. "Stay out of trouble, OK? That means you, Sayaka."

- Hug Mami. Mention that you're approaching 400 hugs, and you'll have to throw a celebration once you reach 500.

Blatantly stolen. Preaching the word of Milord.

- Kiss Mami goodbye.

Self explanatory.

- Tell O&K they're your friends.

Because they are. But we've never told them! I don't like this ambiguity.

- Discuss Homura and the Potentialbomb.
-- How does it affect her?
--- Share thoughts without breaching Homura's privacy too much:
---- Guilt.
---- Losing faith in victory.
-- Is there any way to break it gently to her?

Oriko's memories of her futuresight are hazy. Don't want to go into details, but Oriko should be able to help us better if she's got more info to work with, both in order to make better sense of her visions, and just for general advice.

Without going into details, I'd consider sharing ideas about how the Potentialbomb would affect Homura:

1 - She would feel guilty of putting all those Madokas in danger, whether it makes sense or not.

2 - She would lose faith about her chances to win, being confronted with the Potentialbomb, since it puts a cost to her looping she didn't know about. Without that cost, victory was assured (in Homura's mind) with unlimited tries.

Between the discussion and her futureglimpses, Oriko might be able to help us think how to break the bomb gently to Homu.

If we do this again, we need to make a cape with a mop symbol on it for whenever we're flying.
KB: 'I thought we had agreed that you would be less conspicuous while flying, Sabrina.'

Sabrina: "Excuse moi? I do not know who you are talking about, I know of no 'Sabrina', though that's a pretty cool name. I am THE MOPING BANDIT!"

KB: 'You are not the first Magical Girl to pull such antics. I had thought you were above this.'

Sabrina The Moping Bandit: "I am certain I do not know what you are talking about. Magical Girls? Bah, that's for children. I'm a real supervillain, cool and edgy and fighting against the unjust system-"

KB: 'Moping Bandit! The Yakuza have learned of your guise, and are watching the skies in order to not get taken by surprise again! Perhaps you should consider a more stealthy approach? After all, while fighting for justice is good and edgy and cool, staying alive is paramount if you are to help the world become a better place!'

The Moping Bandit Sabrina: "... It's no fun if you play along."

KB: 'I know. May I remind you of your agreement to visit Hideyoshi Nao and requesting a stealth enchantment?'

Sabrina: *Kicks KB off a building*

Honestly, I think we should stil "vent" (is it even really venting if you're not worked up into a rage or crying your eyes out:thonk:). This is probably the best time to do it, seeing as how we're alone with Homira in timestop for an extended period of time, and as several people said Sabrina will get less and less focused on said issues as time goes on.

The biggest reason for not venting is that the conversation about Sayaka was emotionally draining/taxing/hard to proccess for Homu and venting would put too much pressure on Homura, but... I just don't see that.

We talked about some heavy-ish stuff, sure, but Homura never really got super emotional. The most emotional she got was when we discussed telling Sayaka about the time-loops. And even then, she didn't get emotional, she got contemplative and quiet. She needed a bit to think afterwards, but she got it.

The coversation stopped, and then we got a whole bunch of things while Homura thought. She's had what, maybe half an hour to proccess? I think she'll be able to handle us complaining about our problems.

I could see waiting a few minutes, but not venting at all just seems like a bit of an overreaction. I've got some edits I want to make to my vote once I'm rested and have access to a keyboard, but I think the first line is important.

[ ] Ask if you can vent a bit.

I'm going to add a bit more to this, something along the lines of "If you're not ready that's fine, just say so. It's fine if you're not, I can wait a while." If Homura's still reeling from the Sayaka chat, she can just say no and that's the end of that.

I'm definitely stealing the "calling O&K our friends" bit though. Think of it as... positive payback:D

Well, then... It seems you and I are enemies on this battlefield.

We agree on many things, many important things, like shipping and friendship and who should be hugging who, so very important... but we disagree on something small, so obviously we should attempt to kill each other.

Youspeed, Lord Chungus.

*evil laugh intensify*

Can't wait for the next update.
Not being able to wait should pose a problem, as it seems likely it'll take around 5 days and a half until next update. :V

We should get a nuke. Nukes are cool.*

*Actually hot enough to reduce you to a charred skeleton from a mile away.

I mean I could see a nuke being useful if someone else starts a crossover quest like the one with A Practical Guide to Evil, depending on the setting, so we should take one now so we have it for any crossover quests that start from this point on. :V

I have PTSD from Nukes in PMMM quests. Don't.

Oh come on, we're not that braindamaged. That decision was an artefact of a quest just starting out, not having attracted many people and thus being run by the few people who just happened to be there.

Don't miss out on something super cool like owning a nuke because of something like that.

????
What happened, and which quest(s)?

I wasn't actually there for this, but...

Basically, there was a Homura Quest (actually a Clara Doll that thought she was Homura, but details), and the QM gave "Homura" access to a pretty substantial armory; par for the course, really, except this armory included a trio of Russian nuclear weapons.

Anyway, Homu was in Tokyo, recovering from heart surgery and the last loop, and decided to go hunt a witch. The local meguca didn't take kindly to that, and the players voted to the threaten the locals with dropping one of the aforementioned nukes in the middle of Tokyo. This scared off the magical girls, and Homura made it to Mitakihara. About a week later, a strike force from the Tokyo Meguca Mafia rolls in and starts wrecking shit.

It was a clusterfuck.

So I added a line to the very first bit, and with emphasis on that if Homura isn't ready to hear us she should just say so. The two lines in the middle are shamelessly stolen recaptured from Onmur's cote, to give some flavor to the picking up pocket change sequence. I also added a line after them, for moar fluff.

Asking O&K about what happened last loop got changed to telling them they're our friends. I thought it over, and asking Oriko is rather pointless, seeing as we asked her a looong time ago and she had nothing. Likewise, telling them they're out friends is good. It's fluffy and it's true. How can Kirika be Best Buddy when she isn't even our Friend? It just doesn't work!
