Ultimately, we're trying to be honest with our friends, so we'd have to actually convince Homura, or tell her and disregard her objections. Then there's also Sayaka to consider.
Maybe we bring Oriko and have Sayaka be her Guard? Not her 'Protection' Guard, that's Kirika, but her 'I'm ready to stab you if you even breathe suspiciously' Guard.
Then Sayaka would be helping in putting Oriko to do something useful to make up for her sins!
Oriko is dying because she can't possibly conceive that her destiny can be anything less grand than making Hard Decisions for the sake of the world, and if that's not her destiny, then better that she dies for the sake of the world than lives for sunbathing less important.
What's that word for an overly dramatic middle schooler with delusions of having special super powers?

The thought ocurred to me, but... well, there's also the possibility Mami got the name wrong, or that Firn hadn't thought about this particular meguca much back then, so I just went and assumed Yukariguca's not living up to her persona.
