Oh no we accidentally turned Mami into a narcissist
"Mami, if there's anybody in the world who couldn't be blamed for narcissism, it's you, but I still think you're spending a little way too much time watching extra-dimensional TV shows about yourself."

"..."

"Mami? Mami, are you listening to me? You're not thinking about the movie I told you about with you in it, are you?"

"..."

"Mami, please."

*Touches Mami's arm*

*Tilts backwards stiff as a board and falls to the ground*

"... She passed out after your first sentence."

"Why, what did I say- oh... Shit, you wouldn't think she'll forget about that, by chance?"

"Well, she hit her head pretty hard..."

"Yeah, that's good- wait, no! Mami!"

*Heals the Mami*

"Your brain damage is acting up again."

"... I shouldn't have shown you that."

Two ideas I had, though they aren't related. (Challenge: Find a way to make the two ideas related.)
The first is one that will have to wait until our next Witch fight, as it is a variation on Dissoluzione Bianca; instead of rending entire sections of the Witch, dissolve planes of the aforementioned former meguca, so that sections fall off. The idea is that this may result in less resistance, and as such may be useful against Walpurgisnacht.
The second is far less serious; troll Sayaka by saying that Kyubey only makes contracts with lesbians, and then tell her that it's alright, she can come out of the closet.

She wasn't really grief spiraling when she started to come to her conclusions on magical girls in general being evil. She was already well on her way to believing that before even contracting. She was even basing it largely on things Mami had told her. Now, it's true that grief-spiralling has an effect we should consider, but I think it's a mistake to dismiss those thoughts completely. I think their potential, at the very least, is locked in Sayaka. (Well, the all but one magical girl are incredibly evil part has already been prevented by us).
I was specifically responding to the part about her starting to question whether the world was worth saving. She was pretty far along by that point.

"Magical girls are dicks" is an opinion that she had pretty much as soon as she met Kyouko. :D

If we're going to make a grief anime for Mami, it should be about Mami. Show her how amazing she is by letting her watch herself.
Aside from being able to do adorable stuff like that, it has occurred to me in the past that if we're trying to reveal some secret truth we know to someone, the best way to convince them might be to Grief up a TV and play the appropriate clip from PMMM.

"Kyubey doesn't care if the human race goes extinct."
"You're making that up."
*plays the "She'll destroy the world in ten days. Well, it's humanity's problem now." clip.*
"Holy shit! Kyubey's a monster!"
"Told you so."

Well, clearly there's a correlation between magical potential and lesbianism. Sayaka being bisexual is why she has enough potential to make a contract but not enough to have much power. :p

The secret has been revealed: Kyuubey's Contract Power Meter™ is actually just an improved gaydar! :p
In other news, the Incubators are doing just fabulously at stopping entropy.

So this is how we can convince Sayaka about Magical Girls being turbolesbians.

"Is this... true?"

"You've seen it for yourself, Sayaka."

"Am I? Am I really?"

"I'm sorry, this must be really hard on you... But yes, this is what you are."

"... a Magical Girl in a Magical Girl show. Of course I'd turn to yuri. How could I not?"

"If it's of any consolation, Kyousuke's a typical oblivious boy, so you won't need to... break up with him, or anything like that."

"Oh, Kyousuke... Don't tell me, he-"

"Ends up with Hitomi, yes."

"Yes!"

"What was that?"

"I think that was the sound of my hopes and dreams being crushed."

"... Sure, let's go with that."

Oh thing about summoning up the anime is that it'll probably leave people wondering where Oriko and Kirika are.

Far too overbearing. Makes it obvious that something's wrong, and that'll make Sayaka worried.
Well, it's obvious that something is wrong, isn't it? Our carelessness almost got Sayaka killed yesterday; that's something we were really panicking about this morning. All the stuff with O+K isn't really relevant to why we'd be apologizing again; that's more of a side consideration.

What Sayaka doesn't know about the Empty Seed, is that we're not using her to test for side effects, we've got Oriko and Masami for that. No, what we're testing with Sayaka is whether an average meguca will accidentally hatch the Empty Seed out of carelessness. :V

"Careless" is not a word I'd use to describe Sayaka. "Easily distracted", "elsewhere", "preoccupied", "reckless", "impatient" or "lost" maybe, but not careless. She accepts burdens and treats them seriously.

Maybe we should conduct an IC survey in order to find out whether Potential = means Potential Lesbianism.

There's actually quite a few things to cover after the spar, so I'm writing it out now in hopes of ensuring we don't miss anything.

We need to:

• Ask Sayaka if we should make arrangements to take her to visit the out-of-town girls tommorow. Does she have the time to come, tommorow, and is she interested? This should mollify her a bit after Homu refuses to let her copy her power.

• Tell Sayaka about Walpurgisnacht, the future coalition we're hoping to put together to help handle it, and about Homura's activities with the meteorological network to preserve lives.

• Offer Sayaka those cupcakes we baked, to cement our apology from this morning. Hopefully we'll set our bag aside so it doesn't get hit during the spar.

• Encourage her to play dressup to maintain Halloween thematic congruence. Try and rope Mami and Homura into it too. :V
