Guys, just put the Chibis in a Grief Safety Cube with transparent grief-glass, give them grief popcorn, and have them give commentary for the fight. Duh.

Chibi's by meguca, for meguca shall not perish from this earth.
- Lincoln

Homura: Thats not what he said
Sabrina: It totally is.
Mami: Sabrina....

We don't need to WITCH WITCH WITCH poor sayaka during the spar with our chibi T_T
New meguca don't really have that problem. The Witch feeling is a problem to veteran meguca with their instincts honed by months, or even years of fighting Witches.

It was Mami and Homura who were always on edge around our Grief stuff; Oriko wasn't ever really bothered and Kirika straight up said it was cool.

Eh, Sayaka was unnerved by it. If I recall, she said it felt 'evil'.

Yeah, everybody's unnerved by it, but I think we're letting Mami and Homura colour our opinion of how bad it is.

I believe it's not a problem for new meguca. At most, I'd ask Sayaka if she wanted us to get rid of the Chibi before the spar.

Disagreed. Mami keeping her chibi up will definitely impede her performance, Sabrina keeping hers up leads to questions about alternative vantage points being an unfair advantage, and the whole thing makes it seem like Sabrina doesn't care to take her training seriously to Sayaka.

We're training with restricted abilities. You're understimaing Mami and her ability to stomp us by a lot. That and Mami will get rid of her Chibi if she feels like it, that's not our decision to make.

If anybody's bothered by the Chibi, we can then get rid of the Chibi. You're deciding it's gonna be a problem for others here.

I don't think so.

Sayaka might feel bothered by the Chibi for reasons. In that case, we should get rid of it for training.

EDIT said:
[x] When Sayaka arrives, show her the Chibis.
-[X] Once that's done, set up for training.
--[X] If Sayaka's bothered by the Chibis, get rid of your own; else, make sure the Chibis will be safe during training.

Well I didn't intend to make that typo but now that I did...

In light of the rising frequency of Redshirt/Unstoppable Space Monstrosity conflicts, the Federation Department of Extraterrestrial Wildlife is advising Redshirts to take extra precautions and keep alert for Space Monstrosities while in the field. We advise that Redshirts wear Extra-Visible Bright Red Clothing so as not to startle the Space Monstrosities that aren't expecting them. We also advise Redshirts to carry phasers with them in case of an encounter with a Space Monstrosity.

It is also a good idea to watch out for fresh signs of Space Monstrosity activity. Redshirts should recognize the difference between Stoppable Space Monstrosity and Unstoppable Space Monstrosity poop. Stoppable Space Monstrosity poop is smaller and contains a lot of berry seeds and squirrel fur. Unstoppable Space Monstrosity poop has scraps of red cloth in it and smells like phaser battery acid.

Didn't we decide that we need every possible within-the-rules advantage we can possibly get to last more than a couple seconds against Mami and Homura together?

Yes, and if remote piloted bodies are allowed within the rules and provide a sufficient advantage for the situation we'll reform them. But starting the match with them already made when they take concentration to form, or using them even when they're against the rules, is cheating.

I keep seeing it brought up but where in the chapter does it actually give the rules for the spar? Other than Homura stealing Mami as a teammate nothing has been decided on yet, so how are the Chibis against the rules?

The spar will almost certainly restrict magic usage, if only because otherwise Sayaka has to deal with ribbon bullshit and timestop in addition to everything else.

Even if the magic is restricted asymmetrically, Sabrina needs to stay near Sayaka's level, otherwise she's just carrying the team, and Sayaka will both resent us and not gain much value from the experience.

As such, the most likely scenario is overt magic use being heavily restricted or banned, with only maybe limited wing usage for us, simple ribbons for Mami, hammer space inventory for Homura, and magical platforms for Sayaka being allowed.
