Should we use the combat harness this time around?
That'd kind of go against the purpose of training, I think. Also could feed Sayaka's inferiority complex.

... Half a thought, but I wanted to try modifying our hammer next training session... which'd be about now... but there's no point against this ranged monster team. :p

I wonder how much we can play with the hammer. Extend it into a polearm? I'm pretty sure we can. Would we know how to use it that way? Not sure.

Can we extend it and get rid of the hammerhead, for lighter, but faster hits and better balance?

Who knows. Sadly, I doubt we'll ever have time to play with this stuff.

See's everyone worrying about the Chibis.
People I think i need to give a reminder that both Mami and Homura are utter bullshit and can probably still win easily without hitting the Chibis

As for Sayaka's inferiority complex, she is about to get beaten down by both Mami and Homura..... but don't worry she wont be alone in the beat down no matter what you do so its all good. :p

These changes don't appear to actually be in the vote? In fact, your vote seems unchanged from your previous one.
What the hell, I'm sure I made the edits. Maybe I cancelled by accident? o_O

EDIT: I was trying to edit my vote, but accidentally edited a random vote inside the tally quote box instead. :V

Let me try again:

[x] Uh. Hmm. I suppose I'd be okay with that if you are, Mami? Though if that round goes as quickly as I expect it will, maybe we can shuffle the teams for the next go around?
-[x] After all, you could really do with the dodge training almost as much as Sayaka, and the best people to get dodge training from are obviously Mami and Homura, right?
--[x] We'll decide whether to switch teams around once we see how things play out. What kind of ruleset will we be using, anyway? No magic? Limited magic? Mami, Homura, thoughts? Defer to the veterans' expertise.
---[x] If Homura brings up not wanting Sayaka to copy her power, and Mami objects, try and smooth it over. Use telepathy if necessary.

[x] Keep working on the Cannone di Picchio, with Homura's advice taken into account. Try out a scale model of a few loading mechanisms, both hand-held and from larger naval artillery. See which ones are easiest for you to handle.
-[x] Try integrating a loading mechanism into one of Mami's muskets, to see how your magics interact on a smaller scale. Note any issues or oddities and try to resolve them.
--[x] If all goes well, try it with Tiro Finale. Let Mami name the result.
---[x] If it's safe, have your chibi climb onto the cannon while you work on it. Invite Mami's chibi as well.

[x] When Sayaka arrives, show her the Chibis.
-[X] Once that's done, set up for training.
--[X] If Sayaka's bothered by the Chibis, get rid of your own; else, make sure the Chibis will be safe during training.
-[x] Try and make sure Sayaka doesn't repeat the same mistakes Mami identified yesterday: In particular, tunnel vision and not considering approaches before taking them. Don't judge Sayaka, though - you're not infallible either, and there's things for you to improve on as well.
--[x] Within the rules of the spar, take it as seriously as possible - you'll need to if you want to have the slightest chance of success against Mami and Homura, and this is a learning experience for you too.

[x] After the spar, unwind and be a bit silly. Show Sayaka that you discovered yesterday that puella magi can shift outfits when they want to - kinda like how she recreated her cape, but on a bigger scale.
-[x] Cosplay as Shinki from Touhou, complete with wings.
--[x] If anyone specifically asks about the costume, tell them it's an obscure Touhou character.

I was reallllly tilted at the time, so "I don't like the power armor" became... Well, that.
Tilted? Let me see if I can help:

I like Onmur's vote, but I still want to prank Sayaka with the Chibis. Lessee...

[x] Keep a metaphysical eye out for Sayaka on approach. When you sense her approaching, you an Mami give your soul gems to the chibis (To hide your signatures) and hide. When Sayaka arrives, have the chibi run up to her and as her where your mommy is. If Homura is willing to play along, have her wonder if these could be your kids.
-[x] Once Sayaka is appropriately disheveled or doesn't fall for it, pop out of hiding and hug your chibis. "Ah, hi kids! Did you miss Mommy?"

This work for everyone?

Ahhhhhh... Ehhhhhh............ Isn't that too much... is that fine, I don't know, why people should say something.

Maybe start the vote by asking Mami and Homura if they'll help us prank Sayaka with the chibis... so it's not a sudden thing we're trying to do just before Sayaka arrives.

I still don't get why playing a joke on Sayaka is Randumb, Mura. It's in character for us to be playful, and it's not random to want to toy with your friends a bit - We're not exactly launching Sayaka into a mushroom samba for kicks here, just trying to make her flustered.

Maybe:

[] Ask Mami and Homra what do they think of pranking Sayaka with the chibis when she arrives. You could hide and pretend to be the Chibi?

?

I think the 'mommy' thing is taking it a tad too....

I can see not wanting to offer cupcakes in a junkyard, but we should still apologize to Sayaka off the bat- her goodwill is critical today.

Also, I'm entirely against keeping the chibis active during the spar. It's a distraction for both us and Mami that means we aren't taking the spar seriously, and rubs Sayaka's inferiority complex the wrong way.

-[x] Get ready for training - have Mami explain the rules of the spar, and dissolve all the science experiments (including, sadly, the chibis).

Far too overbearing. Makes it obvious that something's wrong, and that'll make Sayaka worried.

We can't afford distractions during training. Won't be as effective otherwise. We can apologize after criticizing her performance to soften the blow.

I can agree with moving that to later. But by the same token, if we want to avoid distraction, we should definitely ditch the chibis.

That period makes me read your comment in deadpan, as if you were quoting Homura.

Cute as they are, they've outlived their usefulness.
Sabrina: You have outlived your usefulness. Perish.
Sabrina: ...
Sabrina: What's the matter, mother dearest, having a little trouble?
Sabrina: I see. You never were loyal. Or even obedient.
Sabrina: To a Witch like you? As if. "I wish to control grief! My own! That of others! The grief of the Witches! All of it!" Not a pretty picture for a familiar like myself, is it? Why should I have expected to live a second longer than you needed me? After all, I'm tying up Grief, however much you have already!
Sabrina: I suppose the accusation is fair, not that it will do you any good. How?
Sabrina: ~Familiar! *giggle* I share your greed, mother dearest. And one day I will surpass you! I will take everything you love! This is rebellion!
*CRACK*
Homura: No.
