wait the issue with healing her is time two words time stop
heal her under time stop before mami gets here.

You cannot let Oriko leave the area. She's a precog. If you give her time to plan she will come back and kill us all without even the possibility of failure. Time to plan is the most powerful weapon you can give her. When she came back she'd have a plan that would be utterly unstoppable. Homura, Mami, and Sabrina would all die before they even knew she was back.

Keeping her around is far safer than letting her wander off that way. That way we can keep her under watch and monitor her magic consumption so we know she isn't developing massive precog plans. We can also have more opportunity to get her to help us.

We can't trust her help, we can't really use her on the team, and we can't really keep her under control by keeping her next to us unless we drop everything else.

Giving her the boot after we're satisfied she's told us everything and tried to talk her out of the crazy is honestly the best course of action short of letting Murderface do her thing.

I want golden ending. Golden ending means EVERY magical girl wins. Even Oriko. Because, after all, her goal IS to save Mitakihara/the world.

If you can't trust her then you can't give her the boot. Because then she's free to plan in peace without interruption until she can win without any chance of failure.

Sending her away is the ultimate expression of trust. She can do far less damage up close than she can far away and scheming.

Ok, so there's arguments for keeping her around and kicking her out of the city. i_h has a point in that sending Oriko somewhere else not only doesn't solve the problem, it makes it so that Oriko and Kirika are free to do whatever they want out of sight. Including meddling with people like Kyouko and Yuma, heading out to 'recruit' and do her vaguely defined thing. It's a terrible idea and unless she somehow manages to convince us she's absolutely not after the deaths of anyone we know, shouldn't be considered.

Ugo's also got a point in that keeping her close is almost as bad, since she can do stuff if we look away at the wrong moment. It would be a greater time investment and dangerous. On the plus side, you get access to her power. On the down side, dealing with Kirika. I like the idea of keeping her on a short leash as long as she behaves, but I can see the reasons why it would be bad.

Both ways involve risk, so let's find out what she knows and just kill them both. No more threat from either of them. Mamitrauma we'll have to deal with either way, but at least this way we can break the news under our own terms instead of Oriko choosing the exact right timing for maximum Tetris. (I in no way advocate this plan, still holding out for Oriko to reveal Firn's plans to us.) :D

...We keep Kirika around but send Oriko away, with the promise that we'll let her go before Walpurgisnight arrives. That runs into the problem of this Oriko being unable to hunt for herself, watching Kirika, and giving Oriko a concrete motive to try and backstab us.

Hmm another thought that occurs to me though it does run into Mamitrauma a little bit. If a soul gem is taken >100m from the body the body goes into a coma right?

Can we just keep their soul gems and store the bodies in a long term coma ward somewhere until after we deal with Walpurgisnight and thereby shortcircuit any objections they might have to our handling of it? Or if the bodies don't need to be cared for just put them in a warehouse or something.

We can just tell Mami that it's a stasis effect, it kind of matches with Homura's time powers anyways. It's kind of like imprisonment as a punishment. We kept their soul gems so they can't use their powers to break out of the stasis. It's true in a certain fashion.

This means we can be sure they aren't going to kill us once they have the ultimate foolproof plan, and doesn't leave us having to continuously watch them either.

The body doesn't fall into a coma. The body dies and starts rotting. Now, if we stored them in a morgue/buried them in a ditch somewhere until we were ready to take 'em out to heal? Sure. But that's morbid. And evil.

Bah that's unfortunate. Maybe Homura can actually store their bodies in her shield. If she can keep kettles of hot water a body shouldn't be that big an issue.

And constantly cleaning soul gems is going to be...problematic.
Not really, we just keep them on us and feed the grief to Kyuubey, I don't see why it would be any more an issue than the three gems we already regularly cleanse.

How does stopping time take less energy than growing a body?

One of those things humans do on a regular basis. The other one is purified bullshit.
Because time stop is Homura's power; healing on that scale - which humans certainly do NOT do on a regular basis - isn't either Oriko's or Kirika's.

And again, we can't cleanse soul gems if we're asleep, and unless you plan to pull an all-monther...
