Well, Hotel Meguca can't really function if the Witchbomb remains a secret.

All it'd take is one girl turning and then the whole thing would probably go up in flames.
I'm not so sure. How long do you think a person can stay consistently horrified at something like that, I wonder? Surely after an amount of time, you simply get numb? Once the news does eventually break, would keeping everyone in one area while Sabrina siphons grief continuously for a few days straight (sleeping in timestop) and others attempt therapy work? I think most girls would survive, under those circumstances. Seed usage would increase afterwards, but that's not a problem.

Still something I would rather avoid of course. I would rather not rush that day arriving.

So has anyone noticed that like step zero in this plan is make Firn make like a hundred OCs?
I'm assuming it'll grow slowly, one at a time as people overcome their disbelief of such a good thing being possible and not a trap. Then later on once there's too many we just don't bother talking to them all and let them run themselves mostly, interacting with the ones that are already characterised. It's a time honoured literary tradition.

I should probably reiterate at this time that Hotel Meguca will require more innovations in Grief Science in order for reliable and useful safeguards to be in place.

Inb4 Firn was serious when he claims he's planned for every contingency years in advance and already has the entire Hotel Meguca arc ready to go.

We should try and fix Akiko sooner or later.

Do damage control before the witchbomb ever seems likely to happen via ways we can predict (ie: put aside our distaste and work on fixing Akiko and keeping everyone's gems clean) and put more effort into the witch reversal than the random grief science. As it is, there really is nothing we can do about anyone encountering a random encounter witchbomb that won't make things worse.
Not really seeing how this makes her witchbombing anyone less likely? Catatonic, Akiko ain't gonna be telling nobody nothin'. She's also not going to be making life miserable for us or her victims.
Okay, it's vaguely plausible that she might recover without us, but it's less likely that she'll recover without optimal treatment than with it, no?

I want her to recover and not be a potential liability at all rather than trusting she'll stay catatonic in such a way as to never pose a threat. That'll mean interacting with her, either before or after we get an empath that can handle her. Does that mean a minor risk? Yes, but I'd rather take a risk with us on hand to deal with it than just trust that it won't potentially deteriorate with us ignoring it.

You detransform, longcoat and ever reliable pants fading away into the aether to be replaced with your simple pale gresn skirt and blouse.

Typo on clothing color.

Explain what possible purpose could telling her that Kyouko's on her last legs and probably wouldn't have lasted long without our help could possibly serve during a fucking lunch break designed to make Mami feel better?

If we spin it well, we can point out that it's making Kyouko more open to dealing with the likes of us, and thus get twinge Mami's Big Sis instincts and get her thinking about the possibility of Kyouko be willing to deal with her, too. The more we can get these two thinking about meeting each other again, the better.

The first time I read that, I read it as Firn "already hates the entire Hotel Meguca arc"... oh well, welcome to Hotel Manager Sim: The Quest. :V

"Sabrina! The crazy one with the tongue is asking for more blondes again!"
"Sabrina! The green one is trying to seduce Homura again!"
"Sabrina! That damn cat is sneaking around trying to get pictures of Mami again!"
"Sabrina! The American with the knife fetish is being creepy again!"

This will go swimmingly.

"Here's a wig. Have fun."

Homura can take care of herself.
"Sabrina! The American with the knife fetish is being creepy again!"
"It's nice that she has a hobby. If you don't like it you can get a new room."
"Sabrina! That damn cat is sneaking around trying to get pictures of Mami again!"
"Amy Percival Venticus Akemi! You get back to your own quest this instant!"
"But White Girl-"
"Now!"

No trust required. Not going out of our way to help her recover (because, among other reasons, any recovery - whether it leaves her a completely different person or not - still makes her more of a potential liability than she is catatonic) don't cut down our options should she show signs of recovery anyway.

Can't we just ask Oriko if she's ever likely to wake up? We interact with her infrequently enough that the visions should be clear.

Repairing her mind and finding out the cause- seriously, there's still a potential problem there if the situation's more complicated than we thought and we have a Suzune-style memory rewrite on our hands- seems like a better way to end it than just ignoring it and hoping for the best.

Yeah, just ask. If she's to snap out of it soonish, we'll know we'll likely need to intervene. If not... I don't know, we can let her be, though I don't like that Rin's got to put up with her.
