Gadjo, we can just stomp the Witch if we're not holding back (Griefblender, the works...) and talk to Kyouko. I don't want to delay much. Get the Witch out of the way fast, superspeed over, and diplomacy the Kyouko.

And we'd talk to her alone when we lichbomb her, yeah.
I was thinking it might take us awhile to find the glass witch, given how little information we have on it. I think we should leave a 2 hour gap to ensure we don't run out of time while we're BS'ing with and lichbombing Kyoko if we do go after the witch and Kyoko before lunch.

Honestly, I suspect this'll be a waste of time or end in us just finding the Witch. And the lichbomb is a bit uncertain right now since building bridges with Kyouko should take priority...

[x]Investigate the glass Witch based on what little you have to go on.
[x]If you find a Witch, just kill it as fast as possible. You have other priorities today. If it takes too long (less than 2 hours remaining before lunch), just have lunch with Mami first.
[x]Ping Masami and Oriko.
[x]Go to Kasamino at top speed, and ping Kyouko once you're on the outskirts. Ask her where she wants to meet up.
[x]Be civil. Update her on recent events. Everything from what happened with Oriko, to the way things ended in Sendai, and offer a cleanse. Hold off on Masami and the lichbomb for the moment. Ask her how things are.

There is the question of how she'll react to a acquaintance blithely dropping a cosmic horror truth on her.

So to brainstorm some options for Kyoko payments:
-Rumor mill informant
-Sparring teacher
-On-call skirmisher
-Venting buddy
-Guard
-Science assistant w/ Yuma
-Unaffiliated infiltrator
-Robbery teacher
-Captain Obvious advisor

She feels uncomfortable if she's not returning favors. We should make efforts to use her as she likes. And if she doesn't have a set schedule, there's no reason using her as an assistant would be a problem, pay her for her time and all.

Also, another thing we should try doing is covering ourselves in decoy Soul Gems. We're still vulnerable to snipers and ambush and that improves our chances.

Given that it's roughly 8:00 now (start of school), if we want to set aside a couple hours on the glass witch, we can ask about meeting Kyouko around 9:30 to 10:00? That will give us an hour or two before we head back for lunch with Mami.

[] Let Kyouko know you want to do a little investigation of something first, but will head over to meet her at about 9:30 to 10:00 (barring anything unusual happening).
[] Begin search for the glass witch/magical girl, starting from Homura's recorded location.
-[] Use Gauntlet to boost scan range to speed things up (determine new max range)
-[] Check nearest school (assuming it's not MMS)
-[] If it's found as a witch, just do a quick kill
-[] If unable to find anything within 30-40 minutes, check in with Oriko
--[] Good morning! I'm searching for something, and wondered if you could give me any pointers. (Do we want to be oblique over telepathy, or head to Oriko's place and do the Interdiction Box?)
-[] If we find the magical girl, put further plans on hold while we deal with this
[] Give Kyouko warning when we're about to head out. Should be there in a few minutes. SAL002 on its way.
[] Talking with Kyouko:
-[] Standard cleanses. Want to get brunch?
-[] Status update on the war and Oriko and such
-[] What we're actually here to talk to her about...

What we talk to Kyouko about.... Throwing an idea out:

Introduce the idea that we trust her because she's an old friend of Mami's. We're not asking her to come back and make up or anything; we understand that there are some sensitive issues between them, and we're not trying to get involved in that.

However we need help for things we can't do on our own. Grief cleansing is a thing, and it's a thing that a lot of people are going to want. While we're happy to provide the service, and are working on ways to make it more accessible to more magical girls, from the Sendai war we understand that personal desires can trump egalitarian sharing.

In other words, there is likely to be issues of people making this a "problem" as word spreads — either trying to control it, or afraid of how it affects them and their power — causing conflict in Mitakihara, and by extension nearby areas.

This is a long term thing, not an immediate threat. We're not asking Kyouko to help fight these threats off, should they show up; that's not something you can just ask of someone. Rather, we're asking for something much simpler: Information. Kasamino is her territory, and obviously she's going to be keeping watch on anything going on in here. We just want to know anytime she finds threats that might relate to a larger threat pointed at Mitakihara.

What we want... we want a better world; a safer and healthier place for magical girls to live. Building towards that ideal is going to ruffle feathers, and said ruffling could be a danger to our friends. So yes, this is a selfish request, but we're asking because we feel we can trust Kyouko.

This isn't in exchange for the grief cleansing; that's always available whenever she needs. All we can offer is our own information in exchange, and a personal favor — we'll do whatever we can to help her out with any trouble she herself has, if she needs to call it in.

That approach fails at the line about "old friend of Mamis". That isn't a wound we want to poke at again at this point. The rest isn't going to get through to her, and the way that asks her for information is going to backfire.

It's not like she's going to forget who we're living with, Ugo. It's gonna come up.

Debatable, though I think a certain amount of dealing with our connection with Mami is fundamentally necessary for us to have any real conversation with Kyouko. The exact approach may need adjustment (which needs debate, as the above is only a first draft), but the two fundamental barriers in dealing with Kyouko are, "What do you really want from me?" and "Is Mami putting you up to this?". Those have come up in some way each time we've talked with her. So, if we want to actually start developing any sort of working relationship with her, we need to have some sort of answers for those questions on the table.

The plan isn't going to work at all. The rest of it's just a verbose version of the existing vote with an Oriko consultation thrown in for reasons.

She's a precog, not path to victory.

I'd say it's best not to poke at it, though. Maybe the angle we should work is that we're trying to get help because of the impending Walpurgisnacht. Tell her that we need all the help we can get to save the city, and everyone who lives there.

You know that there's room between those two, right?

At the very least, we should try to come up with an answer for her if she asks.
Yes, but not as the first thing and with us bringing it up out of the blue. We got kicked out for that last time. We shouldn't lie, and we might even bring up that Mami's not doing well if the conversation heads in that direction, but we shouldn't say our reason for wanting to talk to her is that she's Mami's old friend, let alone as the first thing we say.
