Well.
You poke around in your dwindling collection of Soul Gems. Just three left - Sasami, Atsuko, and Akiko. That mad girl from Asunaro would probably be impressed by your collecting skills. Probably think you're rather odd for returning them, tho- why are you thinking about Asunaro
Oh this is quite Sabrina indeed :)

"And I'm still going to offer you a deal, the same one I've been offering every group I've come across. It's up to you whether you want to hear it. Oh, and..."

Sasami blinks, and a moment passes before she speaks. "We... thank you, Miss Sabrina, but we would prefer to leave, with our payment, if that's acceptable?"

Well.

Have we cleansed Rin's gem after she did all that healing? If we haven't we can do it now, just so the Fukushima girls see it. Understand what our 'offer' means.

@Onmur: That's not what our offer means, but we did not. Again ><. Forgot that it wasn't included in winning vote.

Simplifying above vote to simpler for less details and more points:

[X] Cleanse?
[X] Agree, leave how?
[X] @Sendai & UG: Full seed merits a trip.
[X] Penultimate: @Ueda: Fukushima done, leave?
[X] Final: @Sendai: Akiko/Ishinomaki mismatch. Solve/rest?

And everyone's wary of us again because we just had a major mood swing.
That includes Kirika and Mami.
That's why I didn't want to chew them out.
Mami's hand on your shoulder shifts to your hand, which she holds tightly. You look at her, and she smiles at you, a trace of worry visible in the lines of her face. You smile back, trying to put reassurance into the expression. Mami ducks her head a little.
:(

As for the cleaning offer show them a soul gem cleanse (Rin for example) and if they still want to go home, they know where to find us if they change their mind.

That's not a bad idea. A casual display to show what we can do without being all, "But if you act now, we'll throw in these special gifts for only $19.95!"

And everyone's wary of us again because we just had a major mood swing.
I think this one is pretty justifiable. Righteous indignation instead of crazy nutjob.

"Soul gem cleansing is free."
Hesitantly, and very nervously, the shadow controller plucks one from the air, pinching it between two fingers and looking as if she expects it to explode in her hands. When it doesn't, she carefully collects the others.
I don't think she noticed we cleansed one of her seeds. :(

@Kinematics: Really? Aw. I thought the point was to avoid voting fatigue?

[X] Before they go, offer cleanses all around.
[X] Tell them that there's nothing more right now, but ask how are they leaving?
[X] Telepathy Sendai & UG: Whenever a grief seed has to be filled up, call Sabrina. It is not like Mitakihara is far.
[X] After Fukushima has been finalized with, inform Ueda on it. How is she (leaving)?
[X] Finally, telepathy to Yumi the inconsistency in Akiko and Ishinomaki stories about Kato. Mention how you'd like to get to the bottom of that, but if they want they can handle it entirely internally.

There's a fairly large gulf between excessively gregarious micromanaging and something that looks like it was an entry for an obfuscated Perl contest.

On a less crazy note, things to progress on:

Casual demonstration of cleansing power just to be sure Fukushima is aware of what we can do. Then they can be off.

Brainstorm for how to approach Akiko. UG might be about ready to go home by this point, and Ueda certainly is (have Sakura drop her off). Then can go somewhere private, where this is just between us and Sendai. Because frankly, it's unfair to parade their insane leader in front of too many other strange groups.

And then it's a matter of how to wake her up and calm her down. (I don't expect to get any actual information from her until the update after, at best.)

I think everybody's clean except maybe for Rin.

Why telepathy? Isn't it better if the Fukushima hear everything about this grief cleansing business?

I assume Sakura's teleporting her? We've already trusted hwe to teleport out to grab the seeds.

What does this mean? We need to address the Setsuko issue with Akiko, right? Witchbomb might be involved, so better to not drag everybody else in.

Regarding Akiko, it's preferable to avoid telling Rin the secret that she was lied to, since we quite recently told Sakura that she won't hear it from us.

Beyond that, if we leave now she'll still see us on weekly trips, but won't wake up facing Sabrina.

@Onmur: At least Kuvira probably isn't, since I think the cleansing of captured gems was brought up before she went down.

Because UG isn't here....But we can multitask. Point.

Probably, but we also did offer to transport her if needed, so confirmation is nice.
However, that is mostly a side benefit to opening talk channel after she has talked with UG.

It means we telepathy Yumi(I think she's the current leader, no?) how Akiko and Ishinomaki told you different stories on Setsuko and it is puzzling.

Also, not only witchbomb, but also inter-Sendai lies. I really want to fix Kato thing to avoid Akiko going on a revenge rampage motivated by her insanity/wish, but good point about exclusion of unawares. What would Mami do in meantime?

Because of this it might be better to leave it for next week.

Controversial opinion: I think we should witchbomb Yumi.

Not outright of course. We should tell her there's a second horrible secret, and that it's likely Akiko does what she does because of it. It's up to her if she wants to hear, but, the worst reaction that you know about was an attempted murder suicide. It's that bad.

Look, Yumi is going to have to deal with Akiko's issues after we're gone. We should at least let her the chance to do so with complete information, and the risk that she'll be witchbombed then anyway is high. I wouldn't mind done social backup for the Akiko encounter, either.

If she refuses, then we'll wake Akiko alone.

@SWB: Honestly, given she's a veteran mercenary and what we suspect about Kato + extortion racket, I'd be surprised if she doesn't know. How would, say, Akiko hide it from someone who predates her, or Kato at the time?

@Onmur: At least Kuvira probably isn't, since I think the cleansing of captured gems was brought up before she went down.
Hold on a second.
As Mami binds the girl, you pass Atsuko's Soul Gem to Moe, who recieves it with both hands. She hands it to Sasami, in turn.
Did the UG gave us this gem? I can't recall.
EDIT: A quick Ctrl+F for 'gem' doesn't find any mention of the UG handing us Kuvira's gem.
It means we telepathy Yumi(I think she's the current leader, no?) how Akiko and Ishinomaki told you different stories on Setsuko and it is puzzling.
That's a fine point. We need to know how much did Akiko share about the Setsuko issue with everybody else.
What would Mami do in meantime?
I've no clue.
Because of this it might be better to leave it for next week.
I hope we remember this in eight months, then. :p

Counterpoint: We replaced Sendai's leadership then we immediately proceeded to traumatize the new leader. Doesn't paint us in a good light.

According to Sakura Akiko left and went after Kato alone and came back alone and didn't tell anyone what exactly happened.
The only person in this whole business who is likely to know about witching out aside from us is Akiko.

Edit: The problem when talking to Akiko is that the witchbomb is very likely to come up.
We either have to talk to her alone, which will be difficult or risk exposing someone to the witchbomb.

Sendai, about Kato in specific? Sure

Everyone, about witching out in general? I doubt it. Why do you think so?

By not saying a word? Akiko ran off after Kato alone. According to Sakura, she didn't really say much about what happened.

@Onmur
That's why we give her the option. I think it's a worse undermining of her leadership to go deal with Akiko alone. We're going to have to thrust that responsibility on her anyway.

@Onmur: We could let her catch up with her old contacts under one guise or another, I guess. However, this doesn't work very well when we've asked her to bind everyone before.

@SWB: Given how girls have died and been ran out in extortion racket by a group where Yumi predates her Akiko couldn't possibly cover it up from her. As for not finding out...Didn't the UG nearly slip on it when talking about it? They wouldn't hold back against Sendai.

Then there is the fact that she knows the lichbomb, though that one can be found out much more easily.

That said, if she doesn't know, she can take it. She is a mercanery veteran.

OK. I guess the counterpoint that was proposed against offering Mami to choose whether to be told about the 'other secret' doesn't apply here? Something about knowledge and curiosity being too tempting.

In this case we can tell Yumi that this knowledge's killed people before, something maybe we couldn't say to Mami... This would maybe blow up in our faces if Yumi talks about it, though. We don't want one day in the future to have Mami asking just when and how did we learn some terrifying secret that kills people just by knowing it, and how do we specifically recall that people died for knowing it. Did we recover our memories or something? Can we pass it off as one of those things we just know? Why didn't we share it with her first?
Plenty of veteran MGs in canon who didn't know.
Like Mami. :V

And Kyouko.
