I see why the UG might want to be present, but that's going to be nothing but a royal pain and we all know it. We can't investigate Akiko's problems with anything but a private conversation, and if we invite their presence and then cut them out later...

Can we very gently suggest they leave, maybe, instead of implying they can stay?

Edit: alternately, frame it as a private conversation and an internal matter from the start, and say that they can stay for the resolution while not implying they can be present for the conversation itself. Which I think is our general intent anyway, but we should spell it out

That's fine. I was thinking they could be present for the more relevant and official part of the meeting and then ask the UG to leave once the topics we're of a more private nature and no longer relevant to them.

If you have a way to word that line I'm listening.

Also, if possible, I would really like to be able to have the talk with Akiko alone. Apart from the risk of the witchbomb coming out, I kinda do want to have a private talk with her without outside interference. I know it's kind of a tall measure given, well, everything, but it's something I'd like to accomplish, if possible.

That would be a bit tricky to do, Cannon. Mostly from part of Sendai who will refuse to leave her alone considering how unstable she was before disconnection.

[] While Sakura is doing that, talk to the UG. Next step is dealing with Akiko but we should wait for Sakura to come back first.
-[] Because the discussion can dip into some rather private matters, I would 'prefer' to have it within closed doors.
-[] However the UG can be present for the resolution of that meeting, or you can just leave now and I can inform you of the relevant details by telepathy. It's up to you.

So something like this then?

I know it's difficult to do, which is why I stated it as a suggestion instead of a vote, because I had no workable idea of how to accomplish that.

Well, I, personally, don't see an issue with that, but I think it has been well established that I'm not exactly an ace when it comes to social votes. Lets see what they others have to say first.

[x] After Fukushima is gone:
-[x] Note corruption levels. Rin probably needs a cleanse after healing Moe. Offer cleanses to any that may want them.
[x] Next step is sending Miss Ueda home if she's ready.
-[x] When she is, ask Sakura to take her home. You can refresh her grief seeds to cover travel costs afterwards.

-[x] Anyway that's not something they have to be present for so if they want to leave, they can.

For dismissing Fukushima, I'd suggest 'when we meet again, I hope it's under happier circumstances'.

Might be best to hammer out the when and where of the regular cleansings with UG and Sendai before we wake up Akiko?

Echoing CG - I'd really like to see Akiko alone (actually, I'd like to wake her up in a week or two, to let the change of leadership sink in, but *shrug*) - but if we have to do this in front of Sendai, do we plan on breaking, or at least seriously stretching, that promise not to let Rin know she's been lied to? We aren't going to get anywhere without acknowledging that the version of events she's told her group is inaccurate.

It's doable. Ask for a private word with her. The thing is we can't and shouldn't mention the witchbomb unless we need to- since Kyubey'd probably be listening to everything we said.

Point that out to Sakura?

And Limpet Mami won't want to leave our side, and specially won't want ot leave us alone with Akiko. Unless Mami's limpeting us so hard we're not counting her as 'other people' when we say we want to speak with Akiko alone.

Honestly, it might be good if she does leave for that. I'd like to discourage the limpetting.

We could wake Akiko up and get down to the discussion then just ask her if she'd prefer to talk one-on-one if she seems reluctant to talk about it in front of Sendai. If she says yes then Sendai doesn't really have a way to say no since it was Akiko's decision.

Gonna wait another half hour for comments. Barring any objections, I'll change my vote to this.

@Muramasa The way I see it, about all the UG could reasonably want is an assurance that Akiko won't cause them trouble in the future. They could ask for more, but if Haru asks us to, say, bring up that she drove their friend to death, can we really agree to in good conscience?

And I can't see us taking in another project, so responsibility for those assurances is going to fall on the rest of Sendai, whether they or we like it or not.

Maybe we should ask them if they're satisfied with things, resolve what they're not, and then say that we need to discuss private matters about Akiko with Sendai, and treat it as a dismissal.

E: Ugo has a point too

What I mean is whether anyone likes it or not, Sendai are the ones who will end up responsible for controlling Akiko. And for providing her with long term help. If the UG want assurances about Akiko's future actions, they're going to have to work that out with Yumi & co. Anything else they might want, we'd probably have to veto.
