Kirika is awesome, no question. Both personally and for what she's done for us today.

But don't forget Oriko was the one who persuaded Kirika to even come. And despite precog, it was basically blind trust in us. We're damn lucky Kirika didn't end up getting hurt because of our request.

I don't think Sabrina and Oriko are ever going to be fast friends. But we can start small, maybe an alliance of sorts? I think ultimately, we have the same goals as she does, and since we change the future she sees, both her and us working together rather than at cross-purposes gives her the best chance of averting disasters. We just need to be a hell of a lot less demanding about how we treat her, and a lot less rude.

Maybe we can convince her to be less fatalistic. It still depresses me that she thinks they're both going to die. She said it was a "nice dream" that we wanted happy endings for everyone. Remind her that it isn't wrong for her to dream for herself.
Fast friends? Hell no, we threatened her girlfriend with a fate worse than death. I think we can be friends eventually, but that all begins with our apology. We can't just drop in, heal her arm, say "sorry I tortured you", leave, and expect that to work. We really need to show our remorse next time we talk to her.
And, well, she's our friend.
Ish.
maybe?
We definitely aren't friends yet, but we can change that. After our guilt trip, we understand her better, I think, and we do have a lot in common.

Totally off topic, but another thing we might want to do is exchange cell #s with some of the people we've met. For when we want to check in on them or catch up, but interrupting with telepathy is kind of rude honestly. That's the kind of problem text messaging can solve.

e: And while it isn't a very secure system at all, in an emergency, it's better than using the Incubator-relay for any secrets

Good idea, but keep in mind that much of the UG may be without cell phones, seeing as how they haven't been home for so long.

This is thankfully a case where it doesn't hurt to ask. And honestly, I'm more worried about keeping up with Yumi, because she's going to have to handle Akiko after we leave, and Rin because, well, she might even be a friend?

Oriko Apology Things
Words are insufficient for the level of harm we threatened her only loved one with, as are simple gifts. If we're serious about reconciling with Oriko, serious about becoming something less then enemies, we need to do things that speaks to her.

In a really dark way. She and us are alike. We'll do what seems the best option regardless of the consequences.

Are we ready to let her leave her house?

We? I really hope no one in the thread would disagree with that. Our main obstacle is Homura (remember that Oriko killed Madoka in another timeline)

I don't know how we could really do something that speaks to her, but I'm willing to hear any ideas. The apology is a given of course, and it needs to be a proper apology, with bowing and everything. We can't really begin to make friends with her until we make it clear how remorseful we are for what we did.

I don't quite agree with the analysis but yes, Oriko does deserve a pretty significant apology.

When it is all said and done, like all social links are settled, walpurgis is dead, SCIENCE is researched, will we actually go to Asunaro?

I kind of find it a little interesting that no one has even considered Homura's and Mami's feelings on just letting Kirika and Oriko go. Or at least discussed it so far. You guys are at least planning on discussing it with them first before doing it right?

Whoops, Gadjo kind of sort of did. Missed his post.

Yeah, we're going to have to- but whether or not we wanted to argue for it was the question until now. No one's saying we're doing it without consulting Mami first, I think.

We are at least healing her up all the way though.

And again I feel like kind of a bastard because I had only considered running it past Homura, since I just assumed Mami would be cool with it. Nice catch.

She is, in fact, unlikely be cool with that. Remember how she accused Oriko of trying to kill us by warning us about Sendai/Ishinomaki?

Maybe hanging out with Kirika will have helped some, but we move through emotional states real fast compared to everyone else. So much more time to come to terms with getting our leg blown mostly off and our waifu Sayaka's house being burned down.

The funny thing is Oriko and Mami unwittingly ran a joint op when cornering Akiko.

I mean, you're right. This is probably a good topic for on the way home? Basically, express most of the thoughts we've put in this thread on the subject, and get her full and hopefully as unbiased as possible opinion on the matter.

Looking at the update again, I'm kind of curious about what exactly the Sendai group told Fukushima about the situation and about Sabrina.

Also, can we at least start calling Sakura "Wild Casey" if she continues to call Sabrina "witch-girl"? :p
