Yes, because being outmatched by the human representation of the D8 of Doom means they suck. [/sarcasm]
Tone down the elitism.
We could have let them get torn to shreds in some misguided attempt at making them feel better. That would surely have helped matters. There's letting them pull their own weight and then there's throwing them into the grinder.

This is not the mindset Sabrina should have about the battle, for her own mental health and that of the people near her if nothing else.

Trying and failing until Ramiel was gone, I'll note.
Quite, quite justified arrogance, though. :D

EDIT:
Stop jumping at shadows? I couldn't agree more.

Hey you know how self-awareness of Sabrina's arrogant Witch Tyrant tendencies are like...KIND OF getting her in a Grief Spiral starting point?

Let's stop saying and doing things that encourage those tendencies.

@Muramasa: Too late. We're going to need Homura for that.

Most disturbing: Like Homura technically could beat Wally but can't get the support, we so far have been unable to stop too, despite repeatedly resolving otherwise.

Ugo, we already had this discussion: saving them immediately in the fight was neccessary, as our powers allowed us to stave off the lasers. Later on, though, we took their poor reactions to being shot with lasers to mean they sucked, and we shouldn't have. It was wrong and we have this nasty tendency of assuming everyone is less competent than they really are.

Having meta knowledge doesn't make us right, it gives us the tools to make decisions no-one else could have made, but it doesn't make us right. Let's not have this discussion again, man.

Frankly, the only one amongst us who's actively advocating to pull a Gil at this point is Ugo, and as much as he likes to imagine himself as the sole driving force of Sabrina, he isn't. As long as the majority of us know about the arrogance issue, and take steps to avoid it, pulling a Gil should be readily avoidable.
